I like this food very much and how beautifully you make foods and hope you will make more Indian and recipies like this and others. Thanks for sharing this recipe. You made my day! My hubby is from India and I have all of these spices on hand. This is my son’s favorite dish at restaurants so I can’t wait to try a simple recipe at home. For those new to Indian cuisine I’d like to add that the yogurt should be plain not flavored 😉
This meal was excellent. The marinade and curry were really flavorful and easy to prepare. It’s one of the reasons why I really enjoy this channel. Simple ingredients that pack a lot of flavor with easy to follow clear instructions.
OMG - Li-Sa!! how I love your videos. You managed to deconstruct one of the more involved , and beloved, Indian recipes. You and your videos are UA-cam goals. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and love of food. ...and yes, I'd very much like to see more videos exploring different ethnic cuisines from your viewpoint.
Lovely recipe as always. The one thing that I will mention though is that in this recipe, most Indian chefs would replace cilantro with a different herb called Kasuri methi (dried fenugreek). You should be able to find it in any Indian grocery store.
I had this flavorful dish when I was in India and fell in love with it. I thought it’s an intimidating dish to make as I thought it may involve a lot of steps and that’s why I never sought after learning it. However I mastered making Hydarabadi Chicken Biryani, and different types of curries and even make my own grams masala and famous Bombay chai masala, but never knew how simple this dish is. Now with confidence I can make it for myself. Thank you Lisa

Just last night I was looking at a Butter Chicken recipe & thinking, I should look at Downshiftology to see if Lisa has this & any other curries :--) Thanks, Lisa!!
I’ve tried butter chicken recipes by some Indian chefs and it’s always so complicated! This was super easy without any compromise on flavor. Thank you for this authentic recipe. I added a little kasuri methi at the end. Will be making this often. Thank you 🙏🏼😊💕

And then in the gravy, i would not use canned or tomato puree just chop down some organic tomatoes(those have diff taste) then add some dried mango powder.
