In 2004, Albert Chambers made this SOUND RECORDING OF his memories of being an evacuee in Clanfield while his sisters were billeted a mile and a half away in Bampton. His sister Joyce is bottom right in the photograph and his sister Mary is on the right of the middle row wearing a dress with little flowers all over and a white Peter Pan collar. The children, all evacuees, were being given games at Weald Manor, Bampton.
