I bought all of unisons plugins, and as soon as i opened my DAW, i actually ascended to a higher plane of consciousness. I shed my physical form, and now exist as pure energy. Im typing this with my mind right now.
Amazing!
LMFAO
Subbed.... just for this thought process
🤣🤣
Me too but I'm typing it with my ghost penis. Checkmate.
350 of the dollars are to keep the funny wizard man trapped in the software from dying, they actually have to feed him or he'll die.
Damn I feel like an asshole now
They feed him little bits at a time... Sometimes he bytes the handle that feeds.
I absolutely hate unison audio. The scam artists (although I wouldn’t even call them scam artists cause they aren’t that good at it) of the music industry. It’s time we call “companies” like this out.
Yes, to call it “art” is a stretch haha
A newbie would be better off buying Reason 12 for £400 comes with everything anyone could possibly need including midi cord and melody generaters.
facts
Sep lives life of luxury in dubai in a 6 million dollar luxury condo in the marina district which is the 4th most expensive in the UAE. That's what these producers pay for
@@remixedcat who is Sep?
As soon as Unison Audio comes out with a synth plugin it'd be really crazy to try to make a song using only Unison Audio plugins.
we can only pray they dont
Barf lol
Watch it be 2000USD if somefin
Eww 🤢
CRAZZZZZZY
This plugin is endemic of a major problem with the music production community imo. Everyone wants a shortcut to becoming good, nobody wants to put in the work and take the time. They're looking for presets and midi packs and plugins that will do all the work for them and make it so they can make professional sounding music without really going through a whole lot of trial and error.
You can't shortcut your way into making good shit, it takes literally years, and that's just a fact. I've been doing this for a long ass time and I'm still learning new stuff on a regular basis, music production is a topic that has almost infinite things to learn, but in our "life hack" era, new producers are suckered into spending money on shit they don't need because it promises them the ability to bypass the learning process.
i mean you definitely can use some shortcuts, I've definitely made some great stuff with scaler. But theres no one click shortcut like midi wizard that'll actually work.
It’s not a major problem with the community, it’s a major problem with SOCIETY. And in that regard I have to salute Unison for capitalizing on the gullibility of newbs looking for shortcuts.
Anyone looking to make a “hit” without actually putting in the time it takes to learn this difficult but rewarding craft probably deserves to get burned by con-companies like Unison at least once.
“You can’t con an honest man.”
@Nightowl427272 I'll cop to buying the unison chord pack, I was in a time in my life where I was having major beat block, and I was desperately looking for some way to spark that creativity. I never ended up using it much, because it doesn't work well with fl studio and I eventually discovered that everything the chord pack offers is built into fl studio. I eventually got over that lack of inspiration, but I can see someone who's desperate for inspiration being suckered in by these tools. I buy sample packs nowadays, I never end up using the melody or chord progression samples, but if I'm struggling to be inspired or come up with something I'll go through them and usually find something that inspires me, it's worth it to me for that purpose alone.
It's fine because AI will be trained on mid producers (probably the reason AI music production tools are still lagging behind other industries)
@yaboi9349sounds like you're speaking from personal experience
Unison plug-ins aren’t even worth pirating 💀
Facts
I want all their stuff pirated just because fuck em!!
I wouldn't even get this if it was $30
same
I wouldn't even review it if they gave it to me to review for my honest opinion.
Scaler 2 is so nice. Especially when you dig into the play/expressions.
God I hope no one actually buys Unison plugins.
read the comments lmao
People will buy them.
“There’s a pro-level sucker born every minute.” - Unison Audio’s daily mantra
Great video WB! I have Scaler 2, my biggest criticism of it is the lack of animated figures waving their magic midi wands, and the Scaler 2 promo video being driven by an actual songwriter playing an actual piano, as opposed to my preferred option of a bargain basement Tony Robbins clone sitting in a studio he clearly rented for an hour.
Unison Audio is the Paul brothers of music production software, scam artists that are all over social media platforms.
🎯🎯🎯
You can:
1. Learn chords for free with a book from your public library.
2. Download MIDI packs for free for your DAW.
3. Use the chord mode your DAW has built in.
4. Buy a Roland J-6 for $200 with pages and pages of chord progressions and you get a 60+ Juno 06 patches, an appegiator, and sequencer.
5. An Akai MPK Mini Plus MIDI keyboard with chord mode, appegiator, and sequencer for $170.
6. Buy Scaler and get more for less.
7. Waste your time and money with Unison products.
There is no cheat mode to real life. Success involves effort. Nothing beats learning stuff for yourself.
Buy Reason 12 for $400.
yeah there's an insane amount of options that cost less money
@@Weaverbeats
Yup, I just got tired of typing.
Having a super long video on the website is a very common strategy for scams. I believe it's referred to as a video sales letter in the industry. You're basically hoping a small percentage of people will sit through the full thing, making them tired and more likely to make a bad decision and make a purchase.
lmaoo
Not just tired; the idea is that once you sat through a 45 minute video you’re not just gonna say “OK I wasted an hour of my life, get outta here” but rather “OK before I admit I wasted so much time for nothing, let’s buy the thing and give it a chance”. Common scam MO.
Unison should just release a DAW that would make a song with one click so you can make your family and friends finally listen to your hit worthy masterpiece.
Dude, your sarcasm is so well timed! This is a classic!
Nice video, Thank you for the tip with scaler, nice plugin!
Yessir
1:30 ANYONE who makes gestures like this as part of a promo....is Sus AF.
He has politician hands
lmaoo
Unison Audio is an example of what is wrong with so much new music...people "select" rather than "create"!
I also love the fact that the chord progressions don't even make sense in a music theory sense. Unison Audio is such a scam, it's ridiculous.
This was awesome I love this channel 😂❤
He definitely rented that studio.
💀💀
Green screened
Just saw the upload and liked before I even clicked on it. Weaver always dropping bangers 💯💯
how is that possible 💀💀
The livestream for this was so good
Had a good laugh at this video good job mate. I think the best thing for producers with little music theory knowledge in Ableton is using the chord plug in accompanied with the scale plug. Literally gives you whatever chords your after minor, major etc with a single key definitely better then paying for these plug ins. 💯🎶
Imagine paying $400 to skip learning the craft you say you’re passionate about 😂… this modern generation is lazy asf If stuff like this is selling
i understand wanting something to give you new ideas sometimes, using these all the time can definitely be a crutch though.
@@Weaverbeats yeah. That’s where the $99 one comes in. That one actually had better features. But if someone is spending $400 on a VST like this i bet they intend on using it as a handicap to get their money’s worth
Someone needs to fuckin stop unison 😭 I stfg
the war that never ends
The reviews are the EXACT SAME PHRASES as the promo 😳 They must’ve NAILED it!!!
This man just saved my 400/500 dollars. Weaver a producer's savings legend.
i hope you weren't considering buying it
@@Weaverbeats Hell no lol but I be watching your in-depth reviews and make a decision based on usability and if I'll ever load that ever after purchase so again I thank you for enduring this pain.
That is the worst fake control room I have ever heard. No control room worth their salt ever sounds like that.
If that doesn’t scream SCAM, I don’t know what does.
yeah that was something i noticed too, or the fact that he was in a control room with no mic lol.
That's a $5 ass plugin
yepp
Bro great Roast session you did a fantastic job sir and they deserve it. I WISH THERE WAS A WAY TO SHOW THE UNISON FAN BOYS THIS VIDEO! UNISON AND KYLE BEATS HAVE TURNED INTO SCAM ARTISTS AND KYLE KEEPS MAKING THE SAME VIDEO OVER AND OVER AND NOBODY SAYS ANYTHING AND THAT'S A PROBLEM!! THANK GOD FOR PPL LIKE YOU!!
I'm a Reason user and it comes with scales and cords device that terns on line of midi into cords. You can literally drag the mouse randomly draw a line of midi move around in time to the metrodome and instantly tern it into a dope melody or cord progression with a cupple of clicks. All scale and cords are listed and selectable and Reason is $400 includes ths DAW, 30 plus sythersizors, samplers, effects, midi generators, thousands of samples and presents.
damn i forgot reason comes with that, i used to use reason.
@@Weaverbeats Its also a plugin now so you can use it in any DAW so you should do a Episode on it.
They HAVE to be priced that high purely because they expect to only sell 5 plugins. Also what the fk is up with their website being about ten miles long. If someone charged them $200K for what is basically a snazzy browser, they got ripped the fk off. $200K is probably their marketing budget.
Yes, this confirms what thought.
i got captin plugins for 50 bucks on a holiday sale, I would buy that 10 times over before I think about using midi wizard
same...still wasted 50$ but at least the company wasnt shit. i havent used any of it after the first day. drawing notes into a folded to scale drum roll sounds better than any of these
Captain plugins is awesome I absolutely love it.
@MachineMadeMan it's good for what it is, I don't use it all the time because I get better and better at music theory over time and these tools become unnecessary but they do come in handy when I'm struggling.
Scaler 2 is fantastic
@@DodgaOfficial if you fold to scale a chord just becomes filling in every other row.
Massive Video watcher here. Big up
Scaler OP

Thanks for exposing this crap. I fear beginners and naive producers might fall for this garbage 😢 but maybe the high price will cause folks to carefully reconsider.
This type of software does have it's use case, but my personal favorite is the Hexachords Orb Producer Suite. They just dropped version 3. Check it out and maybe do another review featuring this group of plugins. It's cool because you have a different plugin for each aspect, one for chords, one for melodies, one for bass, etc.
i have a launchkey mk3 49.
I barely know any music theory. and it only cost me around 250 dolars. it has a lot of really cool and usefull tools, and the chord mode. you can choose a chord, and any key you press, it will play it with the chord you chose.
4:55 every time I see a music software product advertised to me on social media
Just seen an ad for "Output Arcade"... FYI
"15yo producer from Atlanta" type chords right here
lmao
got a unison ad on this vid ironically
legend has it that weaver's name used to be beaver beats but he took too many Ws
Lol

The poxy Unison advert actually came up in the middle of your video! I was suckered into buying their chord pack a couple of years ago. Luckily I have a memory like a sieve, and I stuck it in a folder and forgot I'd bought it. Having watched your rant, I dug it out, and yes, it is truly crap. While I agree with all your criticisms, there is one truly annoying thing you didn't mention. Having bought the product, I then started getting emails from f***ing Sep from Unison every goddamn day. I wonder how much they charge for their spam generator. It's obviously much more effective than their other products.
If you search for shit talking videos about unison, you get unison ads in UA-cam for life. 😥
scaler 2 new option called Multi Out is really good for what i do. You can have scaler on one track and multi out up to 15 tracks, which is a bit ridiculous, normally you only multi out to a string or brass ensemble. So like 4 or 5 tracks. You make a chord in scaler and each consecutive note from lowest to highest. Say a 5 note chord will spread out to your tracks accordingly when set up right. you have to use keybind with the chords in scaler for this to work. or draw the midi , playing it live is a bit jank and does not multi out correctly. You can even set up your own voicings and make it pretty complicated. Scaler is really good.
my reaction to the title: "... there's an even bigger scam than before?"
nah, they've already executed their biggest scam
lol..this is hilarious yo!!
Scaler 2 has been good to me. unison audio is weak imo.
Scaler is actually useful
@@JasonGillmanJr Yes it is.unlike anything that unison audio does
agreed
Cant believe Unison Audio actually placed their ads in this video, skippable + underneath the video 😂😂😂
In Mixcraft 9 you're able to route an instrument through Midi Wizard so that the generated chords/melodies play within the plugin. I'm not sure if you're aboe to do the same in other DAW's.
I appreciate you taking a shit on literal shit.
Sub earned.
Ha! “It’s f@cking great. It’s fantastic. I can’t think of anything better than this” 😂
I love that I’m not the only person that sees the unison scams for what it is
0:42 He had to bring a Dees nuts joke into this video. 😂 clever guy fr.
Scaler is the best option or rip chord.
I kid u not when I say I got a unison ad during the video 💀💀💀
not surprised
Same
Got an ad for unison before the video.
I got Scaler 2 and Melody Sauce for $70 total.
I can’t believe they think this thing is worth more than $20 honestly…
Ty very much for saving me 400. Showing scalar 2 for about 60. and have caption cords yr the best .
For someone who has more than 15 years producing, all of these tools seem like they'd add significant time to my work flow, trying to fix the mistakes the a.i makes. I can build a chord melody in seconds that actually comes directly from my brain that I love as opposed to rolling the dice.
Have you tried making a beat using only unison plugins?
8:54 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Were they randomly throwing notes "at with" FL stduio piano roll while creating this melodies and chords.
💀 💀
as I watch a unisun ad for midi pack interrupts. There coming for ya dude!
i think they have ads targetted toward videos that have unison audio in the title/tags
is xfer cthulhu relevant to this discussion? it's older and it doesn't randomly generate progressions (or it didn't, been a while since I've seen it), but it has an arp and gives you all the chords you'd ever want and you can add more chord packs if needed.
@TelegraamWeaverbeats congratulations you’re reported 🖕🏻🖕🏻🫔🎃
"Sounds great 93% of the time.". Well, that's perfect marketing. Let me explain. It generates infinite progressions and melodies, 93% good which means the remaining 7% are percent are shit. According to modern mathematics, 7 percent of infinity is still infinity. So it's basically a 'buyer beware' warning, just disguised. Also, the written instructions are not available as the plugin is so complex and the AI is still generating the remaining 97 million pages.
as a Guitarist the Rock and Metal stuff made me want to cut my ears off
lmaoo
Great stuff - Always entertaining videos - Thanks! You just are not looking at Unison from the right angle. You need to purchase all Unison products like I did and then use them all together! Drum Monkey, Midi Wizard, and Sound Doctor on say a Hive arpeggiated base pluck and add some Digitalis then the magic happens. Little know secret - If you own all Unison products, then you may (depending on your attitude) get a high level initiation into the top music frequency plane of consciousness. 😃
I bought all of unisons plugins, and as soon as i opened my DAW, i actually ascended to a higher plane of consciousness. I shed my physical form, and now exist as pure energy. Im typing this with my mind right now.
this hurts my brain
If it was free I would still end up deleting it and getting scaler
yep
I love this guy 😂
Nearly bought the drum monkey one time, then I caught myself on and bought a TR8S, Unison is definitely a master marketing company, audio somewhere else down the list... Pretty sad state of affairs that the hustle got to this...
@9:07 yes, you can play audio. You just need to know how to operate your DAW.
Uh you have to route the midi, my point was that you cant play it within the plugin alone. Really seems worth $400 USD. Has anyone ever told you that you have two first names?
Wow at 4:35 thats like the worst interval in music with zero context
Actually they are giving it + the whole bundle fro 27 bucks and I was that close to buy it but then I watched your review and I backed up. Thank you very much... you saved me 27 $. I subscribed to your channel and of course I liked your video.
can someone tell me where he actually explains why its a scam
Company says they have a magic solution for creation chord progressions.
Company is named Unison.
That should've been enough red flags already..
The AUDACITY of Unision Audio...
I see what you did there.
Hey keep audacity outta this that's actual good software
Is it actually good software though 😂
I love this thread ❤
@@Weaverbeats You tell me, I use FL
Orb chords are the best one for making, melody, basslines, chords and arpgs too.
If you have fl studio n a novation keyboard, you dont need any chords software. You just gotta stop being lazy n press 2 extra keys
true that
The prices for these plugins are ridiculous!! Seems like he’s getting desperate with each infinity stone that gets released.
Unison audio should get sued for false advertising or some shit I don’t even care anymore, actual scams
The only time I could ever see this being useful is - if you don't know any musicians and you have never heard of the word instrument 🤷😂. Perfect start
It's actually not useful you should use the alternatives instead
Here before uniscam strike it
hope not lol
isnt unison the same company that made that midi chord pack that was worse than an already free one
Ohhh shit... You got a Unison commercial.
I feel inclined to buy it if it helps your ad revenue. lol
Why are they acting like learning chords will take your entire life and earnings
Listening to how bad the reverb is in that studio at 1:45 (for and audio company nevertheless), I'd just say it is recorded in a bathroom with a green screen. Otherwise, I have nfi how they could mix anything of value there.
i got scammed 27 dollars every month for stupid chords and i didnt know about it
bro this people are shameless lmao
yepp
I can't believe no one has mentioned that Unison Audio (whoever they really are) has also plagiarized the Universal Audio logo.
Those chords and melody for techno are definitely bot techno at all!!!
I've been a hobby musician and producer for 20 years, always working on a budget. Then I met the right person and got an amazing opportunity.
If I had started 5 years ago with these overpriced plugins, I wouldn't be in the same place. I would have been laughed at.
iSuck by spaghetti images lol
Why do all these midi generators sound so uninspired?
Wait til people that buy Unison plugins find out that Audiomodern has better versions of these and their whole suite is only like $150.
The tuition figure they quote is silly, because at public universities you can pay as little as $0 in tuition if you qualify for Pell grants and scholarships. It's free money. Ya boy has the ADHD and is just an okay student, but I filled out the paperwork and I got the financial aid. Music school is way more than theory if you do (for example) a BM Commercial Music type degree. It's songwriting, recording and music tech, orchestration and arranging, tons of performance experience - and especially contemporary music history, so I can recognize the where and when of my influences, draw on those influences, and not just blindly fumble for notes, which is about all MIDI Wizard is capable of.
Sep green screened that studio lol
"Idea Creation"? How is that even a usable phrase when it comes to making music? An idea is part of a creation and a creation comes from an idea. WTF . If you want ideas think of them in your head and then switch your gear on and Create it!
