00:02 I remember that 9th August 1984 morning 5:00am clearly. It was a very very rare Live telecast on Doordarshan showing the Finals of 400m which our favourite PT Usha was a part of. We Wished, We Prayed that Usha ma'am win. That early morning, whole of India was hooked on the television wherever they were available and howsoever far they were. Television & Telephone were symbols of rich back then and few people had them. Even till date, after so many decades, it is a sad memory. When we were so sad, Gosh ! what Usha ma'am must have gone through !!!
A lot of people don't know her story, but one thing is for sure that PT USHA is the symbol when it comes to fast running. everyone knows her name and that she did excellent in atheletics!
If you notice one thing from the people who criticize is that, if you've failed they celebrate and if you've won they become jealous. In both ways they wish failure for you. So dear people, don't care abt them, they're not the people worth worrying...they spend time thinking abt everyone's life n miss out theirs. ✌😚

My mom was called PT Usha for her entire school life because she was an unstoppable athlete. Even she had to give up national level sports just because her principal didn't allow her to miss a school term test and go for sports. Her coach was so very disappointed that my grandfather who was also associated with sports, agreed to her principal. After that ... She didn't turn up for sports again. :) I just feel like crying how my mother's dreams were all just left to die.
I was aware of about PT Usha maam, my mom used to tell me at my younger age, But now I got to know the full storu of Usha Ma'am! Hats off to the Golden Girl of India..
