That intro fight is simply.... unforgettable.
I see what you did there.
haha nicely done
Ay
I see what you did there... :D
it's incredible
“You just don’t get it. I’m not locked in here with you. YOU’RE LOCKED IN HERE WITH ME!”
Best. Line. Ever.
Rorschach rules
Yknow...looking back at this two years later...i was definitely in the “Missing the point by idolizing him” camp with Rorschach
"Tell me what the score is..."
@@failedrevolutionary9497 what was the point? I haven't seen the movie in forever and I watched the ultimate cut
Am I the only one who thinks the actor's performance of Rorschach was actually pretty good?
I dunno, when I read the comic, I didn't really have him in my imagination as a fake Batman with a raspy voice.
My interpretation was Honest Trailers was giving him faux praise. His "spot on performance of a smelly hobo who hates hands." Maybe I misread him though.
he was easily the best actor in the film
Oh you're not the only one. In fact, Rorschach seems to be the only thing that everyone likes about this movie. Well, that and the opening credits montage.
Best performance of the film but I still laughed at the "smelly hobo who hates hands" description lol
Everyone: Do Watchmen!
Screen Junkies: Does Watchmen
Everyone: How dare you
I see what you did there. ;)
Rorschach was the best character in this movie.
WORD!
Rorchach is the best character in any iteration.
Probably best character in DC and marvel combined
So true.
You aren't doing justice to the other characters.
I actually really liked Watchmen. I thought the movie was (while in some places overdone) very realistic of what would happen if there were superheroes in the real world. There would be corruption, there would be government contraction, and there would be failures, like in the intro. I think it holds a mirror up to the superhero genre in a really gritty way.
@Crusaderof God agreed. No idea how Veidt could lift Eddie and toss him around so easily
I liked the comic and I liked the movie
That's how Zack likes to make his comic book movies, "what if they existed in reality".
So it's basically the Boys with even more cooler characters
With no super powers other than Manhattan
Still waiting on the Dredd trailer, it will make the pain of no sequel a little easier to bare
I hope they go through with the Dredd Netflix series starring Karl Urban.
+Christopher Assface no unfortunately he retracted that statement the same day...
***** tell me about it. Ultimate troll move. But it has been confirmed that they are in talks about it and Karl Urban is on board and spearheading the move.
+Harryofsol that movie was actually good? I'll have to check it out. . .hopefully i don't angrily regret trusting you lol
+Bottomless Pit it would be better as a series
Watchmen is actually one of my favorite movies, even though I generally really don't like superhero movies.
Same. I don't like any of Snyder's recent work, but this is one of my favorite movies too. He's great at translating a particular style to screen, but he's awful when he's got a part in making the stories.
Watchmen is actually an absolutely perfect comic movie from an accuracy perspective. If you go back and read the comics. Literally every scene is in the movie, sometimes from the same angle and everything. Underrated movie.
Why does the fact that it has 0 originality make it so great?
Caleb Peterson Because the movie's job isn't to fuck with the source material, but translate it. As best they can. Sometimes they have to change things so it looks better on the big screen, usually the writing. Other than that, a pre-written story has no place being changed. Unless you advertise it as a re-imagining.
Samestro
I thought by now everyone knew movies were reimaginings of whatever source material they're based upon. Watchmen may be good but the fact that it's a page by page copy of watchmen doesn't make it good.
Caleb Peterson If you already know, and like the story line. It does, and that's why it failed. It alienated the audience whom at the credits. Didn't have a clue what the movie was about.
Best way I've seen it described was in an AV Club review where the reviewer said it was "faithfully butchered."
Watchmen was one of the best comic to movie movies of all time
Aesthetically it's a perfect adaptation, but it's way off thematically
how?
Don't overrate it.
Watchmen was one of the best comic to movie movies of all time
+Samuel Shaw spot on definition of this movie really
Say: "You'll have to speak up, I'm wearing a towel".
Yessssssss
Say I like food
Well, it's a line usually chicks (or guys) with long hair use on the phone when getting out of a shower, Homer probably heard it (he does live with Marge) or saw it in movies, etc... and didn't understand *why*, he just picked it up like that.
So yeah it's a "Homer uses an expression he doesn't understand" joke.
Or at least I've always assumed..
I honestly think the Directors cut is the best version
The ultimate cut is is the best
Ultimate Cut has too many pacing issues
The DC is the best version of the central story of Watchmen. The UC is the closest adaptation of the comic thanks to the extra scenes and the Pirate storyline. Both are fantastic.
This movie is highly underrated
true
+Devin Mcclanahan I have read the novel multiple times. This is my favorite graphic novel ever I'm not saying the movie is great but it's no where near as bad as people say
There's literally no difference. Except that he removed the Squid thing because it just wouldn't work on screen.
+Internet Dinosaur and some things with Rorschach but I don't see the issue people have with its a pretty damn good movie
Searowl 99 I think people have a low attention span. xD Like, seriously. The story and plot was easy to follow.
I mean, sure, it does get messy sometimes, but I pictured it as a comic book.
Please say "I have only positive things to say about Ghostbusters, because Sony deleted all of my negative comments".
hahahahahah
Why aren't you at the top?
LTJG RIO Probably Sony as well.
***** All the conspiracies!
I was in watchmen but you couldn't see me
Who the hell said that?
But I did
Who said that
hey john cena, just wanted to say hi because your john cena... hi john cena.
Say Pingas
I really enjoyed this film because I've always had a love of film noir and thought it was a great combo of noir and superhero genre. I thought it was gonna be your average good guy vs. bad guy action film but it was more like good/bad guy vs. good/bad guy action film with more violence than todays usual PG centric blockbusters :)
The extended cut of this movie is actually really awesome, it restored all the awesome parts in the comics cut from the original cut.
Damn I thought you would do this movie Justice
For me this movie is the best graphic novel/comicbook adaption brought to screen
Compared to many other Honest Trailers, this is pretty tame one. All the things they said are pretty much true, they just word them in a funny way.
Yes it is, I can't think of one better.
+Backspacer12 "Anti-snyder agenda"? Maybe they just don't like his films.
***** ***** please tell me?
Nope.
"Watchmen" (2009) is still one of my favorite superhero movies, along with "Logan" (2017) og "Joker" (2019): Brilliant camera work, good or great acting, plenty of depth and superhero action, and sublime dialog.
Can we at least agree Watchmen was Snyder's best superhero film?
Sure, though that's not a particularly high bar
When the other two are BVS and Man of Steel, ABSOLEUTLY!!!
No it's his only superhero film the other ones are so bad they are horror movies
No question.
Man of steel was good
See, what I love about the Watchmen haters, is that they have to put serious effort into hating it.
And watch three hours of the film?:)
Haters gonna hate. Nothing we can do about it.
Now I understand your name, you are a Fat and Crappy person, but you should had "only likes my little pony"
Nope. It's really easy to dislike that movie
Fatncrap Why would some one cum on a rainbow, ho is that a My little pony reference? Well what could I expect coming from someone that can´t even write a comment to counter mine
Please say: "100 Push-Ups. 100 Sit-Ups. 100 Squats. 10KM Running. EVERY SINGLE DAY!"
You are so full of crap!
It's a One Punch Man reference.
He already did.
WHEN?! LINK! LIIIIIIIIINK!!!!
I dunno. Start the playlist and skip to the end. When the next video starts do the same thing.
Or maybe it was Honest Game Trailers....
Can't remember.
I actually like this movie
Most people do
+Coolguy Not true
I thought people disliked the film, more because (Like myself the first time I watched it) They went in expecting a standard superhero movie, and got a depressing drama that happened to involve superheroes.
+iamsiaho I didn't read the book, I loved the movie
Didn't read it either, but I really enjoyed the movie. It is far from flawless, though.
The more I watch Watchmen, the more I like this movie.. Suicide Squad is the opposite
gilang putra why would you watch suicide squad again
Actually I had a similar experience. The first time I watched Suicide Squad I enjoyed it. The second time, I thought to myself; "This is a bloated weird mess of a film."
The Ultimate Cut of this movie is a Masterpiece! Period.
Yes! What on earth is it with Suicide Squad? I too thought "Hey this is kinda enjoyable" then I watched it again and realized how terrible it actually is.
RadioYeh Yes! That was totally me 😂
This movie is one of the greatest superhero movie ever. Dark and make us question about what is truly make superhero good?
Completely agree
That is largely due to the source material. The movie is an OKish adaptation of the book. Rorschach casting was great, but other than that its enjoyability mostly boils down to reproducing comic book panels 1:1. Once you've read the book it kind of loses its magic.
But then, few superhero movies are excellent and there aren't so many of the good ones, so it doesn't take much to be one of the greatest. I'd pick Kick-Ass, some of the better X-Men movies, Burton and Nolan Batmans over Watchmen. Maybe even the best MCU titles, dunno.
+Olli Someone is just trying to state that he enjoys a movie but no you have to come along and try to steal our happiness away, can't we just love the movie without you having to say that the movie sucks? or is that too much to ask?
Someone initiated a public discussion on UA-cam, so yes, that is too much to ask (not that I said the movie sucks - it's OK). If anything, you should be happy to learn that everything that's great about the movie comes directly from the book and therefore you have one mind-blowing read ahead of you.
+Olli Yeah I'm so happy that you were telling me that a movie I like isn't good, thank you for doing the world a favor, you should go on every youtubers channel and whenever they say they like a movie comment all the reasons why the movie sucks
They should do an honest trailer for Pete's Dragon (1977) before the new one comes out.
hey you
do it. do it. do it.
Great request! I loved that film being an 80's kid..... I'll probably be the only adult with no kids watching the new one.
Yes, Pete's Dragon!
I don't know, i really enjoyed the movie
I enjoyed it too.But we are apart of the minority that enjoys non action/comedy movies
dude i think this is the best superhero movie ever made
yeap, my personal favorite comic book movie
I didn't like it, I found it boring.
It's a good movie, but it's a shity adaptation.
Criticize this movie all you want, but I still think it's one of the best movies I've ever seen. It's such a dark, twisted reflection on the world and what we're slowly becoming. The music was terrific, the characters were captivating, and the plot (which I know is based on the comic) was absolutely genius. One of the closest movies to being perfect in my opinion.
That's not a merit on the movie, but on the source material. The adaptation wasn't very good other than visually. If you thought all that of the movie, read the graphic novel, that's the true masterpiece.
When people actually take the movie straight without understanding it's a deconstruction.
Shane G sounds like more TDK than watchmen by far
Jesus. When people claim that this is one of the best movies they've seen... it really tells a lot about how dead the culture of watching movies is. I liked it, but it isn't even in my top1000. It saddens me how little you have to have seen to hold it so highly.
@@MrKosobi Right? It also bothers me whenever someone says Rorschach is their hero. Like dudes...he is totally capable of being a fascist. I mean, he gets some cool fight scenes but character wise, he is not someone you should aspire to be like
4:27 That's a really good Dr. Strangelove reference.
Greatest reference ever xD
on point
ikr
I was just about to comment on that, they really hit the nail on the head with that one
Thanks, Captain Obvious
Worship a carpenter = no one bats an eye

+Tomatenmark13579 Not a bait, just think it's sad how easy it is to judge other people's belief as if your own was better and made more sense.
Elias6233
Yeah, I get that point, but you're essentially just provoking another argument about religion, and we've had thousands of those on youtube before.
+Tomatenmark13579 lol triggered
If you watch the movie a 2nd time, its literally 10x better than the first time you watch it
completely agree, i love this film.
Though if you watch it a second time after reading the comics, it's literally 10x worse than the first time you watch it (I still enjoyed it though)
Very true.
I haven't seen Watchmen, but what you just said literally happened to me in BvS. The first time I saw it, I was like "craaaappp, Zack messed it up," the second time I saw it, I was like "This movie is DOPE!"
I didn't need to watch the movie a second time to like it, I loved both BvS and this.... TFA though, there's no loving that shit no matter how many times I watched it.
Fun fact, the voice actor for Solid Snake wrote the screenplay for this movie.
He also did Xmen and X2
SkyOut what?
SkyOut you're that ninja
SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE

the dr. strangelove part got me

HAHAHAHA
AmsterdamVallon it's a reference to metal gear right?
Dear Zack Snyder,
Shared names doesn't not equal automatic friendship.
Zack didn't write the movie mate.
You just stated a double negative...
No he didn't not!
+Directed by Charlie Bell except that was the ultimate director's cut which means that it was in fact Zack Snyder who put that in
+Josiah Vock Except that's not how writing a movie works.
I bloody love this movie. I wish DC weren't so scared to take risks like this was.
stairway2000 the problem is man to make movies like this takes millions upon millions of dollars and to take a risk on something that may be divisive to consumers when there is that much money involved, is a HUGE risk. I think studios would like to take more risks but at the end of the day filmmaking is a business and if they think they wont make a good amount of profit on a certain project I honestly cant blame them for not doing it.
but they did make Batman v Superman. If they didn't think that was going to devide an audience after so, so much character misreprasentation then they are fools. Personally i think they should take the risk and give more films a low budget. I've always liked a low budget film as long as the writer and director know that they need to focus on story rather than action. We all know how well deadpool did with this and it's certainly not the only low budget film to do it. It is a business and i get that, but it's an entertainment business. At the very heart of an entairnment business is to give the audience what it wants and to make money from doing that. in that order. DC have some of the best characters in comic book history and it's a crying shame that they aren't giving them the stories they deserve. Batman is probably THE most misreprasented character ever. We've never seen him correctly characterised on screen and i bloody love tim burtons take on it and i think Ben Aflek's look is the best visual representation we've ever had but jesus christ the writing put him soooooo far from his comic book character that that film was never going to be liked by fans, and don't even get me started on their misrable superman. The real problem with DC movies and TV shows isn't budget or actors. It's just bad writing, directing and editing. And these are the things that should have no problems. There are a ton of truly great writers, directors and editors but WB aren't using them or aren't letting them do their job. They need to put trust in the people they hire. Let them make the movie they want to make. The only thing WB should be making sure of is that the people they get in understand the source material. Deviding your audience isn't good business.
@@stairway2000 Culture image of Superman: smiling like a jackass all the time and doesn't kill ever.
Comics:is actually a relateble human being, who will kill other really powerful beings.
They aren't scared. They did try to go for the same asthetic for like 5 other movies following this and got dunked on in the box-office and only recently receiving their due credit for trying most of this direction well.
the DC animated movies are great, they made Killing Joke not too long ago and it was pretty great
You want to know what's the true joke? Knowing who Negan killed. Now that's a true Comedian.
You deserve fame and fortune for this comment. I hope you get the praise you deserve
Youre a joke...
yeah.
I still can't believe Negan killed the cameraman.😢

+Metrion77 DC fan by any chance who is annoyed by reviews pointing out WB's overall influence in wrecking good DC movie scripts by good directors eg MoS, BvS and now Suicide Squad?
Darth Hayder I wasn't a DC fan at all until I had hope for Suicide Squad.
+Metrion77 I wanted Suicide Squad to be a great movie but unfortunately WB were at it again, instead of allowing the director to create his vision and script of the movie, the corporate element got in again and jumbled parts of the film to make what they thought was a good film.
If, by Captain America, Batman and Superman, you mean Peacemaker, The Question and Captain Atom, then yes, that's who those characters are supposed to be.
You do know that "honest trailers" takes the closest well-known characters for those "eks as x" lines, right?
All along I though Alan Moore created original characters, turns out he just ripped off old ones as a parody
João Pinto
Not parody, he would have literally used those if he had had the rights to do so.
+João Pinto he want to use these character for this story but dc comics didn't let him, so...
João Pinto No, actually with Watchmen, it was supposed to be using the characters that DC bought from Charleston comics (Blue Beetle, Question, Captain Atom and so on), and Moore's original script did just that. You had Blue Beetle instead of Nite Owl, Peacemaker instead of Comedian, and so on. But because of what the book did the the characters, DC told Moore "okay, if we do this, there's no way we can use these characters again. Either change the script or make new characters." and that's what Moore did; he created stand in fir them.
Watchmen was one of the best Films I have ever seen!
Read the graphic novel
You must not have seen very many movies
I prefer the comic
But I thought the movie was pretty good. My only main issue was the pacing at times and the slowmotion
@@VerbeekTruther or he just likes the movie more than other movies?
@@VerbeekTruther bruh i've seen thousands of movies- i adore movies, i have a whole room of just dvd's and practically live for the art of film and i actually liked watchmen- so don't be rude by saying "oh you haven't seen very many movies" just cause someone likes a movie you don't like- it's rude, thank you.
best comic book movie of all time
huh that's a good one
Agreed
Yes sir.
The Watchmen movie was awful
Has a comment like that ever been taken as a factual claim? Of course it's an opinion lol
Watchmen is way better than Batman vs Superman.
That's not a very high bar to set.
Exactly, it's like saying pneumonia is better than Ebola.
I disagree with you queen cause batman v superman mid not have recieved great reviews and it is kind of 50-50.But it sets up the DC live action universe ,for future movie of different super heros and villans alike BvS does it & what it was made for.So what did watch man did really except for been bad.
Oh, I think Ebola is a much more entertaining disease!!!!!
The comic book of watchmen is amazing, but I thought the movie was extremely boring.
do i dare say that rorschach is more of a badass than batman?
It's pretty much true
He is. Rorschach is not afraid of killing anyone (usually in a very brutal fashion) where Batman is kind of a sissy in that department (at least in my opinion).
+Magic Medic well, Rorschach is a much darker character than Batman. He knows how brutal the real world can be, so he responds by being just as, if not more brutal and uncompromising. Batman views killing as more of a very last resort.
It is true
well yeah. he is not rich but goes out to fight crime without any special equipment. He is a badass
this movie is my favorite movie
Mete Başdemir that’s sad
BK Vids no it’s not
@@BK-sh2pn why would it be sad?
@@wheeler6768 I have no idea.
I actually loved this movie... very much! I consider it to be the best comic book adaptation of all times. No joke.
People hate it because well Zack Snyder.
Trevon The Arrow Not a good reason at all. You know that this is my own personal opinion right? I loved it.
You'll have to understand our history to have a real kick out of it. Not meant for youngsters aka. millennials.
Chino Cocoa I have no idea... I just think it's because it dealt with an alternate version of our contemporary history; imagine a president like Nixon being reelected for a third time in a row... I found that hilarious! The US winning Vietnam war with the aid of a modern day Jesus, it was all filled with metaphors and ironies that many didn't understand at all.
Read the graphic novel, that's why people were disappointed by the movie.
Jordan Shumaker I have it in my collection since the 90's... If a movie was 100% exactly like the graphic novel or Comic Book why make it?... I liked what Zack proposed, loved the cinematography, the effects were right on and the story wasn't too far off the original material.
I see that a bunch of people are bitching on how the quality of the honest trailers is getting worse, I mean seriously, if you really want to see a funny honest trailer it has to be a supernatural one! So, DO FREAKING SUPERNATURAL!!!
Your comment rules
Yess preciousss
ACTUALLY
The Comedian is based on The Peacemaker
Rorschach is based on The Question
Dr. Manhattan is based on Captain Atom
Don't forget Nite Owl! (Blue Beetle)
Nite Owl was inspired by both Blue Beetle and Batman.
And Dr. Manhattan was Captain Atom!
The story was meant to be about these characters but since they had only just been acquired from another company DC didn't what Moore to kill them off, so he made new ones
I have no idea, but does that mean that Ozymandias is based on Luthor?
No, Ozymandias was in fact based on a character called Thunderbolt.
I wish they would have waited. This could have easily been a bingeable series on prime or netflix. Its even devided into 13 chapters for convenience.
Actually, there was a rumor flying around that HBO wants to turn it into a limited series. Granted we haven't heard anything about that for a while, but still, I think it's a great idea. Movie was good, but to make a faithful adaptation (while still giving it legs of its own) it needs to be a series.
+The Dinkster It's not a rumor, it is actually happening. It's going to be called "Gods and Secrets" and will be a spinoff show of sorts that takes place within the watchmen universe and focuses on other heroes and characters.
It would be best suited for HBO bigger budget and it's already owned by Time Warner.
Oh really. I did hear rumors about it being serialized a while back, but i feel that ship has already sailed. Its too bad, this is such a dense book, theres no way anyone could really squeeze it into a decent movie. evan at a 3 hour run time.
Give it time. Isn't GOT almost over?
One thing I've come to notice about Synder movies is that they're just stuff happening, there's really not a coherent story/storyline going on. This is especially prevalent in the first hour of his movies. I remember when watching this movie and saying to myself after the first hour, this is pretty dull, nothing has actually happened, it's just a bunch of characters questions themselves. It was obvious that the movie was trying to force down themes on us and come off as deep. And I remember saying the same thing in BvS and more or less MOS too. This is really the problem I have with Synder and his movies, he desperately tries to force themes into his movies but he simply doesn't potray and handle them, so at the end of the day it just falls flat on its face and comes off as pretentious instead.
*"simply doesn't know how to"
Strongly disagree. Snyder has shown he can make direct coherent films with Dawn of the Dead and 300. I also thought Man of Steel was great. Also, considering Watchmen is heavily based off the graphic novel, your problem would be the source material itself.
But that's the thing, Dawn of the Dead doesn't have a story either. It's just zombies attacking people in a mall for 2 hours. There's definitely themes and social commentary, sure, but a storyline? Not really
Isaac Massey The movie had a story, it was just a really simplistic one. Coherence doesn't just pertain to plot, the editing/pacing were done pretty well I thought.
***** Yes, but if you put his comments into context, George Romero was talking about the Shopping Mall. It was new in Pennsylvania at the time. Obviously, that specific feeling couldn't be recaptured in our age. And if you think about it, that "meaning" really isn't something the *whole* general audience resonated with to begin with. The narrative really wasn't less or more complex than the remake. I see what you're saying, I just don't necessarily agree as a whole.
i'm the only one that think this movie has a great story and ending ?
No , there are other stupid people like you
lol looks like the movie was too intricate for your dumbass mind
jonnnney Ozymandias made the plan to make them allied forces to "fight" Manhattan, wherein reality, Manhattan left Earth or at least, he doesn't want to fight them to keep peace intact. It's just a deliberate plan to make two opposing countries to become friends, since the Cold War was at its peak. It wasn't about fighting Manhattan, it's preventing a nuclear war to happen, and Manhattan was all for Ozymandias's plan and accepted his ill-fate.
no man, it's just "cool" to hate on this movie because people don't really understand it. No wonders this honest trailer didn't even make me smile, the criticism doesn't make sense and it's not even funny.
Imho, this was the best comic adaptation ever made.
Lofn Forseti Why would anyone think that would create a lasting peace between US and USSR? They were allies, fought against an evil force and won. Only to turn on each other shortly after WWII was won.
"baaalls" 😂😂😂😂😂
Me too 😂😂😂😂

Watchmen was actually a comic book movie done right.
This movie was fantastic, save for Malin Akermans performance. Really great movie though, fantastic visuals and interestingly layered. Snyder should stick to stuff like this.
+Degus Jacoby Pradana I did. I meant stick to movies like watchmen. Not trying to make movies about batman and superman like watchmen.
+Degus Jacoby Pradana personally liked Man Of Steel though. But I don't want Snyder anywhere near Batman or Superman anymore, unless he's just staging the action. I'm tired of the same tone in every movie
I love Rorschach in this film. Jackie Earl did a spot on of him. I remember watching it in theater's and thinking "Damn he read all about him".
Her tits were spectacular! I remember thinking damn Lucy Lawless still got it!
Then I got back to wondering how many minutes of the movie is blue dong.
Agreed, also the Watchmen movie has a much better ending than the comic
One of the best movies ever made.
Yes
Which movie are you talking about?
Kaiser Hieillua Guess.
I really liked this film, one of the best comic book movies made but that, any genre ever is a huge overstatement
+RyanGiggsOBE no, you can say "one of the best movies ever made" because that's just putting it in a broad selection because there are a LOT of one of the best movies ever made. And if we put it to genre, it's definitely in the top 50 simply for being one of the top 3 comic book movies.
This movie was great, but it would have been better as a 12-13 episode long show. Maybe on HBO or Netflix.
Casual Cynic lol look up hbo watchmen right now HAHAHAHA it's going to happen
Well, if anyone can make Zach Snyder look good it's Damon Lindelof!
Damn dude you saw the future
@@joshpecker4352 but isn't it set after the events of Watchmen? They have Irons playing an old Ozymandias and a cult following for Rorschach
Alan Moore hates everything adapted from his work. Also I didn't know this movie was polarizing?
it was.
the theatrical cut was. The ultimate cut is considered a masterpiece.
Alan Moore hates everything.
He didn't hate Bruce Timm's / Paul Dini's adaptation of his Superman story.
The ultimate cut is not considered a masterpiece by any notable critic or filmmaker. It still has mediocre acting, a rushed plot, two-dimensional caricatures of the characters from the comic, and focuses too heavily on violence and graphic images and less on the emotion of the characters. It's the exact same movie with a few extra things thrown in. It has all of the failures from the original movie.
I think Rorschach is more like the question.
Dr. Manhattan is like Superman if he couldn't keep emotional bonds since he's so godly among other men.
A mask with "no face", a little out there, and objectivist? Yeah he's the Question.
when i saw the movie i thoth he WAS the the question...
He is. In the 80's DC bought out a smaller company and in doing so acquired The Question, Captain Atom, Blue Beetle and a few others. They gave Moore the job of writing the first story for them which was great but left some of them unusable after wards. So Question became Rorschach, Atom Became Dr Manhattan, and Blue Beetle became Night Owl and so on.
I was a big Question fan because of JLU, Rorschach automatically reminded me of him when I first saw the movie, so I thought he was based of him and I found out I was right.
honest trailers - ice age?
YASSS
Yesssss
Which one?
+Mr. Vegetable all of them in one.
+Mr. Vegetable the only one!
this was so underrated, WATCHMEN it's literaly perfect on trascending the comic to screen!!
I don't think theres a way they can perfectly adapt the comic to film. One of the elements I really liked about it was the fact that they took regular breaks from the main characters to focus on the world around them, consistently following the stories of random bystanders so we can really see the way the world around them is changing. It'd be difficult to do this on film especially when youre already crossing 3hours without including these bystanders
@@wheeler6768 Have you seen the Ultimate Cut? The magazine vendor and the young man reading The Black Raider comic do what you describe.
Ozymandias is Reed Richards If he became Lawful Evil.
the maker
He did in earth 1610 and became the maker.
+Nevermind yup
That is why I love Ultimate Reed Richards. He evolved from a good guy into a super villain. :D
Don't you mean chaotic good?
I love Watchmen. Such an underrated movie. I wish more people saw it.
Rorschach was just plain awesome. Damn, i would love to see more of him, even standalone movies.
My god that title though. *slow clap*
"Dr. Manhattan Or: How I learned to stop worrying and love the dong"
Do Honest Trailer Captain America: Civil War!
(As if you won't already ;) )
They need to wait for the dvd release
+Michael Hewitt-Clarke He will be doing it next week 😀
Saskia Viking HAHAHAHA!!! VICTORY SCREEEEECH!!!
.m
I like watchmen, man of steel and B vs S.
Same.
Me to, screw all of those whiners.
finally someone that speaks english!
Finally someone with 2 brain cells that they have no issue with rubbing together. Everyone else just wants shit spoonfed to them like they're 2.
it's a important work of art........
Weird, I actually really loved this movie. Its the best superhero movie ever made.
Dark Knight and Watchmen are the best super hero movie for me until these days.
That's a weird way to spell "The Incredibles"
Adonay Zenebe it's the most boring movie I've ever watched and btw I didn't understand the story
@@dcmarvel3820 then you weren't paying attention or you are 10 years old
@@dcmarvel3820 the story was basically: a take on post-Vietnam America. But it imagined a world where A) superheroes/vigilantes were a thing and B) America won the Vietnam war. The story steadily showed how violence and conflict within the world still rose creating more divide between the people. Veidt (Ozymandias) used to be a vigilante/superhero. He wanted to 'save the world', he quit the vigilante life when he realized simply fighting crime on the streets wont achieve much. So he set about finding a way to unite the world. Ultimately his plan was to detonate a weapon in New York with the hope that it'd force the world to set their differences aside and unite (Although I think that's unrealistic both in the comic and the film). Although the Comedian (who was now just hired by the government to keep tabs on ex-vigilantes) found out about Veidt's plan and had a break down. Veidt then killed him. And as Rorschach investigated the Comedian's death, he and the other characters discover Veidt's plan
Nah, dude's crazy this movie was lit.
this movie was super boring
Blue Star like your life
Please tell me that your joking
Raw Hall Yeah, I also liked it.
Zalu Skowsky Dont get triggered by these braindead kids, this film is actually the best comic book movie i've ever seen, and as im aware, i saw them all :^)
This should have been done as a tv show
HBO was going to make it and use the pages to the scene panel to panel, but Zack got the rights to it first and it was made
That man pisses me off
Zack Snyder still in talks with HBO to make a prequel or sequel to Watchmen/Minutemen... It's meant to be scheduled to take over from Game of Thrones big budget if all goes to plan
Heeyy, I think you're onto something there.
+Danny Malzahn Yes, having Dan pummel Ozymandias after Rorschach dies while lecturing him about how evil he is... Epic. -_- God, this movie sucks.
I thought this movie was incredible,
why do people hate it so much?
Why do you care if you liked it? Insecure much?
well i heard it was because it was pretty much the same as the comics
+tuukka aro he is just asking why people hate it. not demanding everyone else likes it
Because it sucks
hate it? nah. I just think it's...you know...overrated. it's not as "AMAZINGLY AWESOME OMFG I LUV DIS MOVIE" as most people say it is. Dr. Manhattan and Rorschach were enjoyable and interesting characters, but nite-owl and silk spectre? heck, these two were driving me insane. honestly, did ANYONE care for them? at all? I dare to doubt it. and if I'm supposed to believe that Ozymandias is the great mastermind everybody says he is, they should've shown me more of his planning. but that's just my opinion.
please do an honest trailer for supernatural!
Yep
"SOOO MANY DIIIIIIICKS!!"
HAHAHAHA!!!!
💀💀💀
please say: I wished for this, I bitched at that, I've left behind this little fact, You Cannot Kill What You Did Not Create!
SAY::THIS THONG REALLY TIES THE DONG TOGETHER!!!!!!!!!!!!
maggot!
I pushed my fingers into my....EYES
It's the only thing that slowly stops the aaaaaaaaaaache.
I actually liked this movie...like alot. Seen every edit...
Same here. It's one of the better superheroes movie out there.
Same here. I'm one of the biggest idiots out there.
the happy face was the best part
I've seen it once before thought it was pretty good. Got the ultimate edition now to see if it makes it better, it's been years since I've seen it so should be good.
Please SAY "Fireball The Demogorgon!!!"
The upside down
I just finished binge watching it. It was awesome!!!
+Nosaze Okundaye Same.. really good series.
"She makes Matthew Goode look...okay." I'm dead.
Joseph Lyon Missed opportunity for a pun: "She makes Matthew Goode look...good."
TheNerdyBoii Pretty sure that's part of the joke.
i don't get the joke could anyone in here explain to me? is it because her acting or how she look?
@@near8300 no cos his surname is Goode but he only looks "okay" (you know instead of good like his name?)
" And Balls." Lol the guy looks up from bowing down to look at them lol I LoLed
I know it's late but, owl man is the batman like character. Rorschach is based off characters like question and Mr. A.
I have watched this a lot of times and every time it got better and after wathing it for the 5th time it became my all time favourite movie.
so funny as per usual.. and perhaps mostly true.. but what an amazing movie, especially when compared to other 'superhero' movies
The extended version is pretty epic. Watched it 3 times and it ages like wine.
No, totally disagrees with you. Watchmen is the best superhero movie of all time.
You obviously haven't read the comics it's adapted from
I dont find any differences between them except the movie doesnt include a giant squid monster's dead body as part of Ozymandias plan and it skips the boring pirate story
Boring pirate story!!! Are u kidding me? Srsly, be honest, you haven't read it.
its like the citizen kane of superhero films...
Either that or he didn't get the parallels between Oz and The Black Freighter
“My life is just a joke.”
- James Charles
- Shane Dawson
- R Kelly

I thought Watchmen was good... I don't understand the hate....
Long-time fans of the comic "obviously" had high expectations, so there was major controversy when the movie had the slightest deviating from their pre-conceived notions.
TheoneandonlyCrowMan well that's just unfortunate...
I don't understand it either
I thought Watchmen was amazing. However, Im pretty sure thats because they did it almost panel by panel from the comic aside from the ending. Honestly both endings were good.
Yes it was a very faithful adaptation, people just like to get on the Zack snyder hate bandwagon. If one of his movies sucked they all must right!
I was expecting "Negan" at the starring for The Comedian :(
John Grin-chester
"it feels like marathoning an entire season of LOST...
*_at the same time!_* "
*OK* CALM DOWN THERE SATAN!
Please could you do an honest tv trailer for supernatural? That would be awesome!
That's necessary
You should do an R-rated animated movie before Sausage Party comes out. What about the South Park movie?
Also, say "Back in the 90's I was in a very famous TV show..."
+benabramowitz18 south park is atill going strong
Actually, this is a good idea.
+
Anomalisa maybe? Never mind. I think I'm the only one who saw that wonderful film.
You know I can totally see bashing BatmanVSuperman, Synder absolutely did terrible with that film, but Watchmen is one of the best comic book adaptations ever. Read your shit!
I personally don't think BvS was horrible, but you at least don't hate EVERY Snyder movie because of one off movie.
No , bvs ultimate edition was way better than theatrical cut
Please say-Bruce she's the key! It Lois, It's Lois Lane! Am I too soon ?!?!? Gahhh!! I'm too soon! You were right about him. You always were right about him. You need to find us Bruce.
Too long.
and then say... "Wait Bruce, is this a dream? How'd I manage to do that? This makes no sense, doesn't it. But hey Bruce... When I say 'him' I mean Superman. You were right to think he could turn on humanity. But Lois will keep him sane. Without her you could get into some serious injustice stuff".
Seriously BvS was such a shitfest.
The Citizen Kane of comicbook movies
Hell no
Hell yeah, It is going to be appreciated about another 10 years from now. When people all forget about the theatrical release and all watch the Ultimate Cut. Groundbreaking effort and cinematography.
Zach Snyder is legendary when it comes to cinematography, but let him do anything else and we'll get Sucker Punch and BvS.
Nope, just a movie adaptation of the Citizen Kane of comic books.
Ehm, no, that´s the Dark Knight.
take away the Joker, it becomes a mediocre movie.
You have to DO SUPERNATURAL, I mean a bunch of people are asking for stranger things, but it has come out in less than a month and I bet it can wait since not a lot of people have watched it yet, on the other hand Supernatural has more than ten seasons and doesn't have an honest trailer!
~insert thank you gif~
If they did that, it would only be fair to follow it with a Doctor Who and Sherlock Honest Trailer.
...
When I say that, I'm not being rhetorical, Screen Junkies. Come on, do a Doctor Who and Sherlock Honest Trailer!
+One of Those Human Beings superwholock deserves an honest trailer!
My favorite superhero film of all time!
Do The Adventures of Moose and Squirrel!! Or should I simply say... DO FREAKING SUPERNATURAL!!!!!!
that is the best way to ask for a supernatural honest trailer
So uh, Suicide Squad just came out. It was good, like seriously way beyond the critics reasoning. If you guys can make one next month that would be great
I was expecting Joker moments, unexpected let down
I agree.
Saw it today, pretty bad movie tbh, bad editing, bad joker, worst dc villain ever, plot holes over plot holes and a bad plot, and they wont make an honest trailer until the movie comes out on blu ray
when a villain movie is far more superior than their hero counterpart
andhika bayu LEGO Batman looks better than any DC Movies though, aaaand Batman is a hero soooooooooo....
if you don't do supernatural I will beat you with my fabulous hair!
your hair is supernatural
Just read a dean and Sammy comment 😱
Wouldn't it be more fearsome if you hit them with your moose antlers?
hard to make a funny honest trailer episode if the movie is actually good?!
Good thing this one was on Watchmen then, eh?
It'll be hard, but at least we got Watchmen which is a whole lot easier.
Corb4n the movie sucks, face it
no it doesn't
except it's being criticized for the wrong reasons
At last the watchmen honest trailer cane out!!
*came
+Bubo 25 ** mobile phone
they don''t make good honest trailers anymore .
Subjective
you don't make original comments anymore
it's just an expression todd . i don't need to copy this simple sentence .
"The commenters did say we're not as funny as we're used to be" - from "Deadpool". So, at least they're still honest!
+luke oreilly that is such a weak argument.
"I'd like you to cook plentiful food every week and still see if you're good."
"I'd like you to draw every week and still see if you're good."
"I'd like you script every week and still see if you're good."
"I'd like you to hunt every week and still see if you're good."
It is their job. They should be good.
Watchmen > Civil War
I agree civil war should have had a darker tone
ok dc fanboy, go home now
Haha fuck no. Watchmen isn't that great.
+James xzavian Like the tone in Man of Steel or BvS where everyone seems like they're depressed and unrealistically mopey? And where the color pallet is almost nonexistent?
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
I really like it how Jackie earle Hayley is really emotionless without his mask as Rorschach, given how he calls his mask his face. That's why his performance is the best in the movie.
Say "Don't player hate on me, player hate somebody else".
The Gangsta life is the life for me!!
shooting people by day, selling drugs by night.
Being a gangster is hella tight.
