    Tokhtamysh:Charge!Do not leave any survivors!
    Timur:Rush these fools to frozen river,brothers!Their reinforcements striking our wings!Use our reserve team,do not let them!
    ...
    Timur:Ha!Good work,brothers - We defeated them,they have no match for us!Now,we'll attack Tokhtamysh bastard directly,move faster!
    Temür Qutlugh:We're too underestimated Timur's strong power!...
    Volga Bulgarian Khan:Maybe we should keep peace with Timur and turn against Tokhtamysh,that'll be the good behavior...
    Edigu:Agreed.

    By the way,all of three leaders ending is not a well ending in historical...the 3rd campaign title - "Harbinger of Destruction".The "Destruction" raise down all of three leaders - Temür Qutlugh,Edigu and Volga Bulgars/Volga Bulgarians themself...later that battle.

    more turkic than the turks theme

    • @penus7639
      @penus7639 2 роки тому +4

      Right! I am turkish and I know for once, the turks were never what they are represented as in aoe2, in aoe it seems like theyre tryna use turks to represent post medieval turks of ottoman empire, which didn't even fully include all turks and wasn't made of all turks(there were albanians, armenians, georgians etc., also with gunpowder of the late ottomans but turks are known for cavalry, mainly cav archers for their attack speed and also sipahi, mongols are known for shooting while riding etc. Other differences range from architecture to theme, "middle east" architecture really only fits saracens and partially persians. Tatars and cumans are way better representations of turks as who they are, and not the one that can only partially represent the ottomans. They should just make the current "turks" ottomans, just like there is byzantines and teutons, and make a seperate civ for turks.

    • @Volcano4981
      @Volcano4981 2 роки тому +2

      I hate to add fuel to that fire, but the original AoE 2 designers specifically designed Turks to only cover Seljuks and Ottomans, in kind of a vague and stereotypical format, so I am not too disappointed in the present-day AoE 2 inaccuracies of the civ.
      As for the Goths, I heard arguments of them having access to Renaissance techs could be due to two reasons: Either the whole 'spans too many years and originally meant to have basic civs covering many subcultures' sort of line of thinking - indeed, while Ostro/Visigothic political entities dissolved, their descendants were well and alive in other forms - or the second reason of them also covering the lesser-known Crimean Goths who did go on much longer.

    • @penus7639
      @penus7639 2 роки тому +1

      @@Volcano4981 you can make an argument for turks representing ottomans but not so much seljuks. Ottomans did use cav archers in their conventional use while seljuks never really needed or used gunpowder

    • @Volcano4981
      @Volcano4981 2 роки тому

      @@penus7639 Oh I've mainly said this because if you look at the in-game history section, the original devs were clearly under the impression that the name Turk only applies to these two states, and made a faction amalgamation kind of like the Medieval 2 Total War version of Turks implied to be a generic faction of Seljuks with Ottoman units later on.
      Not that I think it helps matters :p

      I mean, at least they get decent trash (their halberdiers are kind of a meme but at least they GET halberdiers - still 100% servicable against heavy cavalry, where armor upgrades usually don't make a difference anyways)

    • @Volcano4981
      @Volcano4981 3 роки тому +4

      Idk, Keshiks are much more cost effective as heavy cavalry compared to Knights against anything that isn't a Teutonic Knight and perhaps Boyars with a stretch and they get serviceable archer line units, as well as the free cav archer related techs. Don't forget that hill bonus either. Their regular cav is not leaving much to desire anyway and they have SLs for what it's worth, and SL/Cav Archers with extra armour. They are far more fearsome in team games than 1v1s where they're likely to be picked off.
