Yes
Hahahaha :)) love that salad + gulaš
My favorite new faction! Honestly to me as a South Slav Bulgarian faction feels way more close then more general Slav faction (which more relates to Eastern Slavic countries). Heck even krepost (our word is utvrda) is a close concept.
Tvardina and krepost are synonyms in Bulgarian
Slavs +5 population bonus from military buildings takes cues from AoE3's Russian blockhouses. Barracks that work as towers and could produce artillery.
@@alexanderrumenov5517 no, ocording to google translate tvardina means hardness and krepost is fortress
@@pyroshrimp4073 Tvardina means tvard=hard (to take place) . Krepost is from krepya=hold .Both are synonyms and mean the same more or less .
Krepost (Kрепост) Literally means fortress in bulgarian.

In Turkey we listen to alot of Bulgarian songs and we share a very similar traditional musical culture. Although we do have some differences, we have alot of similarities.
My much love to Bulgaria from your neighbouring country, Turkey. 🇧🇬🇹🇷
Are Bulgarians turkish descedants?
@@ricardofilho3127 No
@@ricardofilho3127 The Bulgarians are a mixture of the Slavic Inhabitants and the Bolghars, a Turkic tribe. These Bolghars were the minority ruling class, while most of the population was Slavic. The name Bulgaria comes from the Bolghars, but the Bolghar minority became Slavic and converted to Orthodoxy creating their own unique realm. They were also later culturally influenced by neighboring turkic tribes like the Pechenegs, Cumans and also the Mongols. The country was also ruled nearly 500 Years by the Ottoman Empire, which also had a strong impact on culture, music and cuisine, but also influenced the Ottomans in turn.
@@ricardofilho3127 Yes they were Turkic before becoming slav

Can I have a mod that makes the Bulgarians' theme last for 2 hours?
That way I would have a 100% win rate...
Looks like an army walking in windy foggy mountain passes, and at 0:31 the ambush starts, with volleys of arrows flying from hidden Kreposts, bands of Bagains-heavy swordsmen coming from the sides to slash the knights down their horses and from the rear, charging Konniks hurling their flails and smashing the frightened archers and footmen !
This theme should be called Krum 😈
Confirmed,Ivan Asen disliked it.
0:31 what you came for
best theme?
My favorite one is the vikings XD
This music makes me Krepost rush my opponents!
Now comes with 8 points armor two-handed...swordmaster.
Konniks fallen now,but swordmasters raise.

Thanks, bro.
i love this one too, all of them :D
I’ve always picked the Koniks riding out from a misty fog running down scores of fleeing archers and bombarders
can someone please turn this into a 3 to 5 min ost?
I'll do it
Never heard or read before of Ivailo, when I played the campaign, I could knew about his life and the tragic way he was killed by Nogai after going into the lion's den, he had no choice for his country I guess
Nogai, a Mongol warlord so hated by his own family that they stuck him out in the European backwater and forgot all about him.
the campaign is completely historically inaccurate
amazing music
My damned lazy paladins need to learn from bulgarian unique unit :(
You mean the konnik
This is good but it's also longer than most other themes
I wonder why they didn't make all of them this long
That's the real banger

this remembered the serie vikings season 6 too much, kiev :D
Best one in the gamer imho
Fun civ. Just started the Ivaylo campaign today. Konniks rule.

Gadulka

Konniks against a mix of melee and ranged: :(

@@medika9651 Yikes
@@decimatorentertainmentstud8523 But still our medival is rly good , And fun fact : Bulgarians used to be Tengri when they were a nomadic tribe and 1-2 centuries later The Byzantines converted Bulgaria to Christianity in the 800s when Tsar (previously Khan) Boris I ruled Bulgaria
@@medika9651 interesting
@@medika9651 I know I'm late I had this in my recommended but how is the medieval history the only good one? Ancient thrace was cool and pre basil the second Byzantium was also cool. And would you say the second empire is renaissance or medieval, and I know ferdinand the first kinda broke his country
Zlatan. Golden
Man, this theme is just amazing! I don't know so much about Bulgarian music but they seem to have cool instruments. If I remember correctly, Oghur Bulgars (not to be confused with Oghuz Anatolian Turks, they are different but both Turkic) founded the first Bulgarian kingdom and they became Slavic later, so is there a Bulgar impact on music too or are those just Slavic Bulgarian instruments?
Bulgarian music is a mix of slavic, central asian and mediterranean elements. Bulgarian folk singing (especially female one) seems also to have some unique elements that might be of iranian or central asian origin.|

Nobody truly knows the extent of the impact of pro-Bulgarians on the Balkans and Ukraine. Some believe it was massive even up to the daily life of common people, others believe it was almost insignificant outside of creating the political model for South-Eastern and Eastern Slavs. It's complicated as the region has been wrecked multiple times and the archaeology and history was for a very long time politically motivated.
The biggest question that first needs answering is what was exactly a Slav at that time and how much the Bulgars had already mixed with them in the Pontic steppes.
the earlier part sounds somewhat Turkish

This doesn't even sound like traditional Bulgarian music :/ still a bop though
Yeah you're right, but keep in mind that aoe2 was mostly set during the medieval and discovery times. The Balkans were about to be subjugated by the Ottomans, this means that there were no cultural influences in their music styles, YET. Think of this theme as an idea of pre-Ottoman Bulgarian music style. :)
@@gentlemoa9859 Yeah, you're right, sounds pretty plausible
@@gentlemoa9859 Ottomans are the destroyers of 500 years worth of culture ;-;
@@medika9651 Cultures rarely do get erased. Most of the time, they lose a part of themselves and mix with another one to create a new paradigm. Current Bulgaria is still different and stands out from Turkey, and it could be argued that Ottoman culture did bring a lot of very interesting stuff to this part of th world.
