i use to shop at that outdoor mall in BURBANK i think it was called GOLDEN MALL ,(if i remember right) ,i live in Arizona now ,so im having to think back to the late 1980's early 1990s of the Los Angeles area
That whole side of the mall is completely different, all the construction has changed it so much! They got rid of Sabarros to make way for a new escalator! That's progress I guess...Thanks for watching:)
awww I worked in forever 21 back in 2008 how I miss it....Glendale galleria.... too bad I had to move far to Georgia... one day hopefully when I have money I'll go back and visit before I die
+Jessica Trejo Wow! I probably saw you, the Galleria doesn't look like this anymore, it's gotten a new re-model & a lot of stores got closed or moved to another location! I'll have to do another video to show the changes, what do you think? Thanks for watching:)
It's completely different now! The floor & walls are white, many of the stores from where "Mervyn's" was are gone! Nordsrtom's will be moving to The Americana in Sept.! Very different mall...
Orbach's was like "Macys" but just clothes, there also was a Robinson's (where Target is now) you may be right about Americana, but they look like they're hurting too, it isn't nearly as busy as The Galleria, Nordstrom will be moving to Americana, will be replaced w/ Nieman's!
omgg i forgot they got rid of KB toys as well and the WB store! they were my favs when i was a kid how could i forget, nostalgias a bitch :/ lol i wanna go back 12 years
@phantomempire Thanks! a lot of stores in the mall are closing(or are already closed) the economy is really beating up malls in general, glad you liked the vid:)
I still remember the Warner Brothers Store that was close to the Robinsons may I also Do miss Robinsons original Location at the Fashion Center now known as Staples Micahels Ralphs and Payless Shoes! :)
MsRandomnotes1 How long have you been in Glendale I Lived there from 1988-2003 The Fashion Center had Robinson's by JW that was like the Bloomingdales of my time but when the 94 earthquake happen the Center was deemed uninhabitable even though all the Stores and InCahoots Country bar was still open only one that was Boarded off was the Security bank.Everything in the fashion center looked OK then in 94 we were waved off by Safety Inspectors that told us *Come Back in 1995 or as late as 1996 the center is under renovations.* yet a few weeks later everything was demolished except for the worst Structural building the bank yet its still standing.Security Bank is now known as Bank Of America.
you're welcome, just so you know it's undergoing extreme re-construction! So you'll see lots of wood, and cement, barricades, so be prepared! thanks for watching:)
Americana is pretty nice, although much smaller than expected, the bad economy has forced many stores to close, The Marketplace is so different! Many stores there have shut down, There's a new theatre, but it's pretty lackluster, Ralph's is much better w/the Michael's &Staples....
nooo I dont, it might have been before my time lol I know! my grandad told me haha isnt it the bit with hot topic and stuff at the back? i think its because the Americana is slowly putting it out of business so theyre redoing it to get people back in the galleria

Great Mall ! i use to shop here back in the early 1990s , back when i worked at SAMMONS CABLE TV in Glendale !!
The remodel was a mistake. It looked so much warmer and cozy.
Thank you, the mall looks completely different now! New tile, no more brick walls...
Thank you! it's going under some extreme re-construction so it's a little dusty right now, am tempted to film all the chaos!
