When I read that I had tears in my eyes. Those items were just amazing and I'm sure very special, as in one of a kind. My heart goes out to you.... I'm a Christmas collector and am in awe of all you collected. Not only the expense, but the history of the pieces that were lost. Thank you so much for sharing this video. The music from Rudolph was wonderful....I could sing every word of every song ! It must have been hard to sell the ones that made it through the disaster. Everything was beautiful but I especially loved when you got up to the top of the stairs and that big old intivity seen in there moving around it was just my absolute favorite!!!

I got my Halloween and Christmas I've been collecting since the eighty's stolen in 2017. I did find what they didn't have time to take. I know how you feel , it part of the family. My kids and me there dad . Putting it out every year...I hope you can replace alot of it. There's alot stuff I can't.
I live in the uk and I can't get stuff like the amazing items in your collection over here I do a display every year and raise money for cancer research, going to make it so big this year as I lost my aunt this morning to cancer

They are simply wonderful. Here in New Zealand, it's almost impossible to find things like that, so I truly appreciate seeing them in the homes of others. I'm liquidating the collection with the exception of some inherited pieces. There was actually another water-main break in the second storage garage this past January which ruined what didn't get ruined in the first flood....Thank you for the kid words. Merry Christmas!

Then half way through watching the video I read that you lost most of your things due to two water main breaks !!! I'm so sorry, how sad. That's awful. Somewhere in my memory as a child I remember seeing these at like a department store or it was a field trip. YOU SURE MADE MY HEART AND SOUL SMILE THANK YOU AGAIN! I had to come back because I think it was a field trip in elementary school at the Tonka toys facility in Minnesota. Oh what fun that was you sure brought back a lot of wonderful memories for me blessings to you and thank you again. Oh my gosh oh my gosh! The manger scene upstairs I've never seen anything like it! Hi there. Your collection was absolutely stunning. We both have a love for all of the vintage department store window display mechanical figures, I see. You have quite a bit of the Hamburger items but I collect the figures that were mostly made by RK International. You have one of them - he's the little boy in your living room that is up against your Chinese screen and he opens and closes the ornament storage box. If you still have him and would like to part with him, please respond and let me know. I have videos of some of my collection being used in a friend's store. I own over 200 of these and love sharing with the public each year as they bring back so many memories. Take care.

I'm so sorry to read about the water damage, my heart goes out to you. The display is WOW, I saw things I haven't seen since I was a kid at Newberry's down town. Thank you for your kind words. I didnt post it but in January of 2014 another flood occured and destroyed the rest...I'm ok now, just had to make sense of it all....
