  • Blowgun hunting always presents more of a challenge than hunting with a firearm and it makes a kill so much more rewarding at the end. This was one of the most challenging hunts I have been on in a while and it was also very fun.

I tried a new method for cleaning the turtle in this video and I was able to take a lot more meat off of it than the previous turtles I have cleaned. This is how I cleaned it.🔽 • Turtle Trapping Part 3...

@ wish life outdoors some of the things you kill hunt what ever you want too call it some animals aren't even pests like doves, turtles etc I just think your a complete nobhead....not all animals should be hunted your giving kids a outlook that it's right to go out just with a air rifle slingshot what ever it may be and hunt what ever they come across in the UK you can't do any of that otherwise there is consequences you can go shop market buy food so why kill a innocent animals that aren't even pests like example turtles a lot of animals in this life coming extinct endangered and your posting videos to hunt animals fair enough some people have to hunt food to eat in certain circumstances like some tribes but even they only hunt certain animals and also give back to the land you don't you can eat and in your videos I've seen you'd basically hunt most things

I use firearms of all types rifles, shotguns, handguns both semi-auto and revolvers. I use knives, swords, tomahawks and axes. I use black powder and cap and ball percussion firearms. I use traditional and compound bows and crossbows. I use high powered air rifles both springers and PCPs in .177, .22 and .25 caliber. I use big bore .625 blowguns. I also use slingshots on occasion and just located a handmade one yesterday I built in 1987 while searching around in the basement. Too many "gun guys" and that's ALL they know. Even worse ARs in 5.56 and polymer striker fired semi-auto 9mm pistols are ALL they own and have. They severely handicap themselves by doing so. Both of which are nearly worthless in wilderness survival and hunting situations. They don't even own a .22 LR or a shotgun much less anything else. I've been doing this for 42 years and started in 1982. It's been a minute and I forgot more than most of these people will ever know about it.

Turtle meat is *wow* good. I've gotten snappers over 50 pounds, but the average I get is 25 pounds. To date, 40+ turtles. Only in the USA; they're not legal to hunt in Mexico. My first one, only 20 pounds, took me 8 hours to clean while I was learning. Each consecutive one took 45 minutes less until now, I can clean a snapper in less than 30 minutes. I used a .22 to dispatch them. Skulls are too hard for a normal pellet gun. The tenderloin is pure white meat, fishy flavor, a little difficult to get to, with a pair of pliers to break the ribs off the top shell and a really flexible filet knife to cut it out of the ribcage. I deep fry all my turtles unless I want to make soup.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I would like to taste turtle too, I like to taste meat of different animals... You are lucky to have the opportunity to travel to the US to hunt them... I think the animal protection is too strict. In my opinion, only the really endangered iconic animals as pandas or rhinos should be protected from hunting but turtles... why? Turtles are abundant, they can be hunted in one country but not in another country... makes no sense! Enjoy your hunting trips, have many kills! Btw why just turtles? How you got into turtle hunting, especially when you cant hunt them in your homeland? They are probably not a typical thing to hunt...

@Lukáš Bejček I hunt wild hogs and Axis deer in Texas, top. And coyotes and rabbits. Last week a coyote killed my outside guard dog. So I hunt coyotes no matter where I am. They are very destructive. I appreciate your words. God bless you!

@@MexicoAdventurer Oh, I am so sorry for your dog. Have no mercy for the coyotes, they are really nasty things! I think their overpopulation is getting worse since there is no more such big demand for their fur, isnt it? I believe you manage to revenge your dog properly! Still better the dog than if the coyote wounded you or some your mate... Always pleasure to meet such a passionate hunter as you. Hogs, axis, coyotes, rabbits... and 40 turtles 😉...nice!! You must always have plenty of delicious meat! Good luck and smoke the coyote population, buddy!

@@MexicoAdventurer Haha, I didnt know coyote meat is edible at all! But you hunt them primarily as vermins, dont you? I have a coyote hide on thw wall as a decoration, so I have contributed to chasing them as a customer at least, but I think the demand for coyote fur is falling... And that is a shame because if there is something good on coyotes, it is only their fur in my opinion! What do you like best to eat from the species you take? The turtles?
