It's just now that the government has decided to build good roads in the whole of Arunachal and North East as a whole.....so it'll at least take 6 years from now but after its completion it'll look stunning

Arunachal Pradesh was neglected by the Indian Government for a very long time out of a bogus fear that the Chinese might enter inside the country through this routes. Our current Government has changed this way of thinking.
That was probably based on actual experience in 1962 when the Chinese soldiers swept down in a matter of days from China to Tezpur in the plains of Assam. If USA had not threatened to nuke the shit out of them we would have been in a bad place and whole of northeast would have been under Chinese control. So because of US threats they moved back all the way to the original border. Of course now that India is very strong militarily, and we have the muscle to back up our land, therefore we should build up the infrastructure along the borders.
@@bankmalki I disagree that US was in that sort of alliance with India at that time because US helped Pakistan in 1971 war by sending the 7th fleet which was stopped by the Russians.

There are a lot of considerations when it comes to realpolitik and all its delicate nuances.

Hi Pierre: That was indeed an adventurous ride on tricky, muddy roads. You both handled the ride beautifully, especially Saliha, who is not as physically strong as you. Kudos to both of you.
That's why I always recommend UA-camr's to visit North-East India. They just stayed in Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur and thinks that whole India looks like that. They even complains that India is crowdy, smelly, dirty without even travelling 10% of India.

Hope Arunachal gets better roads and infrastructure without effecting any of the local tribes and traditions out there cause the locals need a little inspiration and support. Also " development "shouldn't be a land grab from the locals. It's a beautiful place and would love to see its true culture and traditions.
Don't worry no one can do any land grab in Arunachal. The present generation is very much aware of everything. The development of these road are an utmost necessity. Else, imagine the nearest multi speciality hospital for Daporijo is at Dibrugarh, which entail 200+ km on the hills and another 100 odd km more on the plains. The only lifeline during landslide season is the heli service or IAF heli, that too if the weather is clear. In Aug 2021, area from Daporijo to Aalo, Mechuka etc were cut of for more than 15 day due to very heavy rainfall and all the four axis from Ziro, from Likabali, from Ying Kiong, and from Pasighat were all blocked because of heavy land slides. Normal basic amenities, groceries, medicines etc takes two days to reach the major towns and then another day to the places further off. So, the Trans Arunachal Highway is a major boost to the life line of Arunachal. This will help boost the tourism and also better schools and all. Now, those who can afford, send their children to bigger cities in Assam or the plains of Arunachal. And don't worry they have very proud of their traditions. Unlike other places in NE, they still follow their traditional religion of Dony Polo.
Last October, I did a solo trip on this road 😭 Ziro to Daporijo to Basar It was raining and the condition of the road was so bad. I broke my brake pedal and rode my bike with front brake 😭 Hell of an adventure!!
