I am impressed by the amount and spacious nature of the pools. Also love the generous amount of sauce they put on the pizzas. Love your guys' playful though clear and articulate presentation. Great to see little details covered that other tour videos haven't, like how you were able to show the wake in the dining room. Maybe I can request one of those tables when my cruise comes to town...so to speak, in April.

Love the videos. My family is going on this cruise in the coming weeks. Question: I haven’t been able to book any dining reservations. For months it says no reservations are available. Is it hard to get into a dining room without previous reservations. Thanks, and great work on the quality of the videos!

As for booking specialty restaurants, we suggest finding out what the Main Dining menus will be first and then based on those offerings, decide which nights to book specialty restaurants. (This is so you don't miss lobster night in the MDR for instance). If you're not able to book ahead of the cruise in your Cruise Personalizer online or in the Medallion app, head to the restaurants first thing on embarkation day and book then. You shouldn't have any problems. But don't wait too long! I hope that helps. Have a fantastic time!

Discovery Princess is a family-friendly ship, but it definitely does not have all the bells and whistles like other lines have like waterslides, ziplines, or go-karts. Camp Discovery is the kids' area aboard and The Tree House is designed specifically for kids aged 3 to 7. It offers activities like Lego boat-building contests, dance parties, movie nights, and creative art-themed projects. The medallion technology around the ship is also fun for kids and adults offering scavenger hunts and games so it depends on what you're looking for but we think a 5-year-old could have a good time on Discovery!

As for the Concierge Lounge, as we understand it, only passengers staying in suites receive complimentary access to the lounge. The Platinum/Elite "lounge" is usually just a gathering for cocktails a few nights of the cruise held in the Vista Lounge. We hope that helps!
I just got off a lovely 7 day cruise to the Mexican Riviera. Lovely new ship, with a few design flaws.....there is no card room, so you have to play in unused dining rooms or bars. there is no library, so bring all your own books. They let people at the slot machines smoke, and it makes the casino and environs near the casino very smokey! my balcony room was just big enough for just me - and it's tight if you've got two or more people, but my steward was great and the whole ship was really clean and tasteful. On the bright side - the food was just GREAT!!! specialty restaurants were all wonderful except for Bistro sur la mer.....save your money! .....All in all, a beautiful new ship and great cruise experience! And I think the pools are heated....but lots of hot tubs!

Hello, and thanks so much for watching! There are no enclosed pool areas on the Discovery Princess. In total, there are four pools: two on the top deck, one wakeview pool at the ship's aft end, and one adults-only retreat pool. All pools are open air. Makes for a bit of a chilly swim in Alaska!

Many thanks for the very good comprehensive tour of the ship. It looks like the decor for Princess is being modernised and is an improvement on Royal and Majestic etc. Our next cruise is the Enchanted in August to be followed by Apex in October. My wife likes your outfits! Best wishes from England.
