  • A virtual walking tour of the KÖ Galerie shopping center in Dusseldorf, Germany
Today we came to the KÖ Galerie shopping center in Dusseldorf to take a video of this beautiful shopping mall for you. I hope you enjoy watching this video
The Kö-Galerie has a total of 20,000 m² of retail space and 30,000 m² of office space.
The gallery opened on September 21, 1986. The builder and architect was Walter Brune. In 2006, Brune sold Kö-Galerie to a joint venture led by Merrill Lynch. ECE had a smaller stake in the joint venture. In late November 2008, the Gustav center management company announced that it planned to completely renovate and restructure the shopping center since 2009 without interrupting operations. The work, which cost approximately 40 million euros, was largely completed in the fall of 2011. In late 2012, the Kö-Galerie was connected to the neighboring shopping center Sevens Center by integrating the neighboring building at Steinstrasse 11. In 2014, it was sold to Allianz Real Estate for approximately 300 million euros, and ECE Projektmanagement took over the management of the center.
Kö-Galerie is located in the middle of Königsallee, between Steinstrasse and Grünstrasse. There are accesses to the three streets mentioned above and to the Berliner Allee, where the Kö-Galerie merges with the house of the Stadtsparkasse Düsseldorf headquarters. There is also a connection with another passage, "Kö-Karree". Together with the neighboring shopping center Sevens Center, Kö-Galerie occupies the entire block. Kö-Galerie also has a public car park with around 1,000 parking spaces.
Retail and service companies are located in the shopping center. The branch mix consists of shoes, sports, health and hardware, among others. The textile industry takes up a large part of the area, and there is also a supermarket and restaurants. The Kö-Galerie has around 100 shops, which can be reached from four shopping arcades and are arranged in a central hall. The building has 30,000 m² of office space with around 50 tenants. The approximately 5000 m² traffic area is used for company presentations or cultural events, among other things. A nationwide antique market takes place six times a year in the broad aisles.
