Alexander, That was so interesting and fun watching. I miss our chats:( I was a youngster a bit over 70 , when I started watching and now I am still one at 82. Seeing your family grow up in these few years reminds me of how important it is to seize the day Cheers, Rik Spector
Your a man of many talents and skills and a joy to watch you and your family including Josh and co , you certainly help your friends out which in a society of greed it’s such a refreshing change Thankyou Alex❤️💚👍🇬🇧
It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it! 😂 No matter how old a vehicle is, Alexander, you are the one with the golden touch to have it back and running in no time. Thank you for sharing. Fran
I did enjoy watching you repair the car... thank you for showing us how you process such items... Im never sure if you are better off leaving the item or fixing it...
UA-cam algorithm has taken me off notifications apparently. I completely missed the episode 7 days ago and came hunting you down only to find you just posted today. Going to have to tweak my algorithm again to get you back in the queue. Sad UA-cam, I've been here since practically the beginning. Before Stephen was even in high school 😢. I'll watch this then watch the episode I missed afterwards.
Just check your subscriptions when you sit down to watch videos, everything with something new will have a dot next to it. I have notifications turned off because it’s annoying and I will only watch when I have time, not when they alert me something was posted.
Well, that was an epic restoration project if I've ever seen one!!! Kudos....love following along ...It looks great with your other toys.... Best from BC
Thanks for that Alex it came out great! I hope you will show us the Pan Am plane when you can get to it. I have the same toy and in the same condition. I was thinking of soaking a rag in white vinegar and washing it down that way but I don't know.👍
Love this! Beautiful job Alex. I have a little tin car that I found in my attic, from the original owners of the house. It's a little bigger than a matchbox car. Now I'm wondering if I can tackke this, as it has some rust. Not sure if you have one, but a Dremel is great for little projects like this. Can sand, drill, buff with it, and mine even came with a polishing compound.
Nice job, especially on the windscreen. I believe that Revell make an even better chrome paint, but it is difficult to source and expensive. I would have been tempted to have applied some rust killer/neutraliser to the body before painting it, and to have applied some of the same stuff to the top of the chassis and parts of the mechanisms.
Revell does have a good chrome paint in a spray can, also spaz stix has a good one... but for the best result an airbrush is needed, for that alclad is probably one of the best chrome paints, they are a bit tricky to get right, a very thin layer over a gloss black base gives you as close to a mirror finish as you can get! problem is they are not durable so best not to touch them afterwards, and if you clearcoat them they loose some shine. Zero paints has a decent chrome that is fairly durable though! also the paint for the pen he used can be bought in bottles and applied with an airbrush with a descent result! also mr hobby sm 206 super chrome silver 2, is a good value chrome-ish paint... applies in a thin layer over a black gloss base. this one can be thinned out very far, 1 part paint and 8-10 parts of their mr leveling thinner. also their mr finishing surfacer combined with the leveling thinner is a great primer!
Totally awesomeness Brother Alexander. Thanks always for sharing Your passion and adventures from Toronto Ontario Canada 😎👍❤️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️✨️✨️💯💯💯💯💯✨️✨️✨️
I think you are in your element Alex fixing up old toys. I bet your kids were happy when they were growing up, they could bring any toy to you and you would fix it for them. Have a great dat
Your videos stopped showing up...I guess i follow too many channels, but I was thinking about you guys wondering how you all are doing and searched for you. Alex you've lost weight and look healthy. Great job fixing the car up. I love how you make things nice again. 🌻
We love your videos, but we’re surprised you do not have a Dremil ( small craft tool that is electric, which is small enough to work with single handed) that has a variety of small sanders and drill attachments that are ideal for smaller projects like these toy cars …..
You have talked about Canadian Tire several times. I know when I was young ( a while ago I admit) we had Western Auto in the states. Our big 20” tv in the den came from them. Same principle, auto store that sold whatever they could move. 😂
Well, that looks really beautiful! If you haven't already found "Chip Channel Restorations" on UA-cam, you might find his little collection of restored toy vehicles interesting. 🙂
Have you ever tried using Super Clean (comes in a purple container) to soak the parts in to strip the paint? I get mine at Canadian Tire in the car cleaning products aisle. It works pretty good to strip old paint and also is safe to use on plastic pieces. I use a coffee filter to strain it and I can use it for a very long time.
Speaking of soup cans for repairs, recently I had my floors redone in my home. When all the layers were pulled up to finally see the under flooring, there were 3 soup cans inserted in different places to cover up the wholes in the floors. I had never seen that before. The house is a Seats Crafstman built in the early 1940’s. So not sure when the tin cans were inserted ?
Great job on the body work🙂 an the paint job too🌜💫✨🌀❄️🌫️🌠 your one of the best , make it all better almost like new again, person i watch reg. And you never disapont . Because you get to the Inside out of things to see what is wrong so you can make it right again , and if you do all that you know , and it sometimes just mite need to go to a specialist work shop . And! You know how much the going price is to fix something, and you are avery good customer that will wait longer then most. Because you know if wear you take something you get what you pay for .
"All restorers" may be hyperbole, but that said, it's not a restorer thing. Its British English vs. American English. If you have access to the Internet, you can easily research this subject for yourself.

I did enjoy watching you repair the car... thank you for showing us how you process such items... Im never sure if you are better off leaving the item or fixing it...
It makes absolutely no sense how much I love watching you do these little projects or mechanical work on your many cars. But I do.
Thank you Alex ! Great video !
Good job!! Turned out nice!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I always loved tinkering with broken things including toys, haven't done much of that lately so this was a really fun video to watch.
It looks great!😊

The color of the car reminds me of the Buick you had at one time.

Nice restoration on the toy car. I'm a child of the 1950's and had a number of tin cars, but not one that you could shift etc. Very cool.
😂 this is like watching a doctor in the operating room!! Alex, we love you 😂
These renovations are great. My second favorite behind life-sized car renovations.
You alwsys do nice work! cool car.
That was fun to watch. Didn't realize there was a way to rehab those old toys.
Nice job ! So Cool. Real toys .
Great job Alexander!!
I think you are in your element Alex fixing up old toys. I bet your kids were happy when they were growing up, they could bring any toy to you and you would fix it for them. Have a great dat

Good video. God bless your channel.
Love your fixer upper videos..
Looks like a lot of fun 🤗
Nice job, Alex. Make sure it can't drive itself off the shelf!
Try getting a turn table so you can paint it easier

I enjoy your video so much that car looks great😊

You need a sand agitator! The other restoration channels use the to clean the rust. Some use sand blasters. I love watchig restoration videos!
That was amazing, looks like new💎💎💎
I always liked Canadian Tire and the funny Money Alex whenever I travel up north from the US...
Well, that looks really beautiful!

Pretty awesome!
I can’t believe it has a working transmission 😮
It's a pity you didn't yse a primer coat before the colour. It makes a huge difference.
Right on!
Great job bud, enjoyed watching and I'm not a car buff haaha
Love this!! Mahalo / tfs

Do your kids appreciate having a BIG kid for a dad?? 🙂
How were the rubber wheels still good? Most of mine have broken apart.
My husband likes to restore old toy cars, he is collecting hot wheels
Thanks Alex!
❤❤❤
I love your shirt! Peanuts meets Abbey Road
Oh Ho HO, that is cute.
Why do all you restorers call it a Wind Screen? Screens have holes, it's a Windshield on a vehicle, screens are for houses 🤔

Next video watch Alex make a replacement bumper out of a tin can and chrome paint it....
