Food for thought. Had you a few in your team eddied out with the video boater and got prepared, someone on live bait could have retrieved the boat into the eddy river right below MT saving your friend from a very long and potentially dangerous cold swim. Luck was on your side getting the boat the way you did. He could easily have swam a lot longer.

After watching the video we realized we could have done a live bait to grab the boat, it all happened so fast in the moment.
