Elijah, ALEX HIRSCH LITERALLY CREATED THIS SHOW. He also voices Soos, Grunkle Stan, Bill Cipher, and many recurring characters. Bill Cipher is basically King with reverb.

The main difference is King has (or HAD) a bit of a God Complex...Bill, on the other hand IS a God Complex

Fun fact Stan actually got married to a woman called ‘Marilyn’ briefly and comments about her pointed golden tooth, and really pale skin, and her shirt that read ‘30 and flirty’. They got married at Vegas after Stan won a bunch of money and the next day ‘Marilyn’ stole he’s winnings, Stan calls her “the one that got away, because she literally got away” and it’s heavily implied that that Marilyn is Eda

•Mabel’s sweater is actually a symbolic choice- the sunset implies that the show gets darker from here on out
•the original idea for this ep was that the Pines were going to chase Bill across all their different minds, so there would have been Dipper’s and Mabel’s dreamscapes as well (and Soos’ too IIRC)
•the stone Stan head is based on an older dreamscape concept where they would have fallen through the air over a giant sleeping Stan head in an endless dream forest
“Oh No Not The Broom!” Makes me laugh every time. Gideon, the megalomaniac, is genuinely afraid of being hit with a broom. I wish I knew when Stan discovered it was a viable solution.
It also implies that Gideon has been hit with that broom before.
It's not mentioned in this episode, but basically quentin trembly made a "finders keepers" law which pretty much means if you can take it, it's yours.
Yeah that sounds like Trembly that have made that law that equally benefits chaotic good people like Stan as much for chaotic evil people like Gideon.
I honestly never thought a triangle with a top hat and bow tie could be one of the scariest villains in Disney history. Such a simple design but the character is just wtf. When he pulled the deers teeth Omg i was horrified as a kid. He’s much more threatening in his further appearances.

Only reason Gideons owns the shack is because Quentin Trembley made legal ownership of a property a finder keepers rule. So if you find the deed to a property you now legally own or keep it in your possession.

Stan's Bar-Mitzvah at the age of 12. (He wore Groucho Marx glasses to the temple. His dad was pretty upset.)

Not only did Alex create this show, but he also brought on a TON of talented animators. Dana Terrace (The Owl House), Matt Braly (Amphibia), and Shion Takeuchi (Inside Job) are all Gravity Falls alums.
Plus, he not only voiced Bill, but also Stan, Soos, Old Man McGucket, Quentin Trembly III, and a ton of other side characters.
_FINALLY!!!!_ The episode we've all been waiting for!!!! After all this time, our patience is finally paying off and she's meeting everybody's favorite chaotic yellow doritio himself, BILL CIPHER!!! And then after this, it's all uphill from here!!!
To answer your question about the deed, when Quentin Trembly was mayor of Gravity Falls, he made a lot of weird laws that still exist in the town, one of which being the Finders Keepers law. Basically it doesn’t matter whose name is on the deed, if you’re holding it, you own it

Quentin Trembley, the eighth and a half president of the united states, passed the Finders Keepers law. It states that whoever is in physical possession of the deed to property is the legal owner of the property.

We’ve been waiting for this! What else can be said about Bill that hasn’t already been said? He’s rightfully considered the best Disney animated villain. Such a simple design with a menacing personality behind it. Before Bill, I always assumed you couldn’t make a triangle character as iconic as Phineas (and no, Peridot doesn’t count - she’s really not a triangle in my eyes). Boy was I proven wrong!
I've been waiting for this episode!! I like the acknowledgement that It's HEAVILY implied (in both shows) that Eda is Stan's ex wife! I'm glad you like Bill as he is one of my favorite characters. He's kinda similar to the Collector from Owl House but more sinister. Next episode is going to be wild!
Finally the episode that I was waiting for Elijah to watch. Personally I think Bill Cipher is the coolest villain in modern television animation. Definitely be looking out for future encounters with this Dorito Demon. As he said "I'm always watching you"

Also about the Shack's deed, the founder of Gravity Falls (aka Quentin Trembley) created a law called "Finders Keepers" that allows whoever holds a physical deed to own that property, so by stealing the deed Gideon became the legal owner of the Shack

1. Gideon just having the deed works because there's a law in Gravity Falls that if someone is just holding the deed it belongs to them. More Gravity falls wierdness.
2. The "symbol" on the sign you said looked like the tattoo are just letters that say somethign in the ceasar cipher.
3. I agree. Gideon is definetely the kiki of this show.
The collector is a child with god powers who don't understand that they hurt others. Bill Cipher is a child with god powers who understand and enjoy hurting others.

At last! At long, long last! Dreamscaperers is here! The episode one billion years prophesized has come to pass!
Bill is the most scariest, powerful, cunning and best Disney villain in cartoon shows with Belos, the Collector and tge Core.
Now that I rewatched this episode after seeing all of Owl House, I can’t stop seeing the similarities between this episode and Understanding Willow as well as Hollow Mind. Im not just seeing the similarities!
Alex made this show, he also voices; Gruncle Stan, Soos, Bill Cipher and Old man Mcguckit
Before you watch season 2 you should react to the shorts that aired between seasons: “Mabel guides you to everything” and “Dipper guides you to the unexplained” (one of the shorts mentions Stan’s tattoo)
Glad to see you got to the episode that properly introduces Bill. He's quite the fun baddy, and considered the best baddy in the show for a reason. Although the other badddies consisting of Gideon & Robbie is probably part of the reason, Bill is still a fun one. And yeah, him sharing the voice actor for King is pretty interesting to see. That's basically how most Gravity Falls fans reacted to King in a nutshell, going "hehe, Alex is voicing another demon".
If your still wondering how Gideon just getting his hands on the deed automatically makes him own the shack, there's apparently a law in the town that says that if you just get your hands on the deed it automatically makes you the owner. That law apparently got mentioned in the real life version of the journal that got sold. That's the in-universe explanation. But I'm guessing the behind the scenes reason is because the writers didn't completely remember how deeds worked during the time they wrote it.
Bill Cypher is my all-time favorite Villain of Gravity Falls, he's accomplished more than any of the other villains of this show. plus I love his voice

In Owl House... the writers included an Easter egg in the episode when King discovered he was a Titan.
Luz and King were led to temple and the dialogue mentioned something about 'this is our leader, Bill!' followed by him clarifying that there was no other part to the name.
That may have something to do with your Deja Vu
So to explain the deed thing: Gravity falls has a lot of backwards laws thanks to that president guy from an earlier episode. Marrying a woodpecker is a good example but one in this episode is whoever possesses the physical deed owns said property. There's other examples that pop up in the show. Mostly it's used as a simple explanation when it comes to the resolutions to episodes.

Actually bill isn’t really a demon! They say dream demon in the show but in all actuality bill is something else entirely! They say in a later episode that bill is actually an eldritch being from the second dimension! It’s also been confirmed that bill cipher isn’t his actual name, he just uses that as his name when he talks to mortals as whenever people hear his true name they quote “disintegrate with a look of horror and ecstasy upon their face”! It’s also been confirmed that the pyramid part of him isnt even his true form! It’s an exoskeleton that he wears so he can interact with people without them going insane from the mere sight of him!
You know, I envy you Elijah - you’re watching the show completely blind.
Boy, what I would give to go back and rewatch this masterpiece from the start with no idea of what’s to come.

Something fun I noticed involving Alex's performance as both Bill and King, in ep 3 of Owl House when you hear Kings laugh, it's literally just Bill's laugh, same rhythm, cadence, everything. But later in like season two, you can tell how Alex, developed the voice, it's cool to hear!
