Many happy returns . I think the pistol You described as a monstrosity was probably a Kriss Vector .45 , designed to cut down on felt recoil . If You watch Kentucky Ballistics , He has both a punt gun and a Two Bore and he's done a couple of videos with both these shotguns . Thanks Nick.
Brilliant as ever Nick 👍👍 I have the same feelings about Hawke scopes as you do. It's probably because I associate Tasco and Optima with my very influential teenage airgun years and Hawke suddenly seemed to take over the market as Tasco and Optima faded away. Get that Super Moonlighter, put it on the HW80 and relive the John Darling era 😄..... mine is on a Webley Excel carbine creating the most unbalanced but loved gun ever 😆
@@jakehamilton9352 first time I saw the big moonlighter was on a vulcan with the walnut stock, I could not afford it at the time but i have another vulcan now and it would look nice with a moonlighter on although a little bit of over kill and probably near on double the weight.
@roberttaylor6075 they're certainly far from practical as scopes go Rob but there's something so iconic about them and the Japanese glass is special. A solid rifle like your Vulcan would carry one better than most guns.
@jakehamilton9352 Yes, I am sure it will, I have one it's bent. My grandson dropped it and somehow managed to stand on it. I did enquire on seeing if I could get it fixed. There was a guy on the Internet who once fixed scopes and all kind telescopes. But he no longer does, but he did say a bent tube was not an easy fix if at all possible. But I am going to look out for one now, as all this talk of old scopes has taken me back to the 80s where I spent most of my waking hours in the gunshop or stuck in airgunner and airgun world/ or trying to stick the latest square section spring into any number of rifles I seemed to go through. Probably ruining them and shaking what little grey matter I had to jelly, not to mention the barrels coughing smoke out like a 60 a day chain smoker.
@@tbtairrifletuning1520 Thanks Nick. Have looked around, still not sure but all the repros i ve seen arent proofed, for deco only. Hope alls OK. Minus 8 this mornig here. Take care Keith
I have a S&W 77a pump rifle. Mine is the first generation so it has no scope rail... open sights only. It's fairly accurate, easy to pump and has decent power. The trigger is a little heavy and I don't care for having to cock the action before pumping but I'm used to it. :)
Got to get a lugar and call it Pete. lol i love the CZ .22lr, the bolt safety is one of the best and safest safeties ,and i had a lovely tiger stripe stock on mine ,and i did the roller custom trigger job 😊
@tbtairrifletuning1520 same i had the 17hmr ,nasty little round ,I sold that and kept the .22lr and kept my .223 with a wildcat mod as it was quiet compared to the 17HMR with a mod on it
TASCO scopes are now a brand called S.W.F.A. S.W.F.A. are now made for the American Military. That 2 bore look's more like a 4 bore to me. John Darling had a Tasco A.G 3-9x50 on his Theoben Rapid 7.
You have to get the super moonlighter, I had one mint condition, and then my grandson picked it up to look thru it he dropped it, then somehow stood on it and bent the tube. It could of strangled him.
Nothing like a spot of bin-diving. Good choice on the Nikon EFR. Got one on my 97 and it suits it.
Fantastic gun shop, thanks for bringing us along 👍

That sounds like another video I should make……

@roberttaylor6075 I'm always relieved to read that other airgunners did exactly the same things I used to do back in the day 😄😄😄
Interesting and enjoyable video thank you
Absolutely wonderful to be in a place like that 👍
That was fun so much choice so much frustration.
Excellent video
A 2 bore must be the nearest thing to a handbag punt gun ever made.... nIce one Nick. Hope you got me a black powder rifle. All the best Keith

I've still got a super moonlighter now, used to be on my 77, now on my dad's old Ultra.
Happy birthday sir

A few scopes short of the guns I've got........... That's what your friends say about you 😂
What’s a race gun Nick
You'll never go wrong with a Nikon Prostaff EFR....why they stopped making scopes is beyond me :(
Dream shop with someones bank card😂😂 twice a week 😂😂❤
A 2 bore! Blimey, that's gonna leave a mark!
Is there no limit on the air rifle ft lbs in France? lucky sods.
What was he charging for those scopes ??? Kempton park £15 apiece, gun shops in east anglia £25 for four.
That kind of depends on the scope. They were from next to nothing, up to £500+
@@tbtairrifletuning1520 Depends on the vendor and country of origin of the glass. E bay prices tend to be higher.
Do you wanna sell ya optima nick😊❤👍
