I shot a couple of rolls of this in 120 and also a few in 135 and absolutely love it. All without any issue but my last roll had the exact same “light leak” that you saw here. Must be something from the factory… I also noticed a light leak coming from the end of roll that affected by last photo. But only on that one roll. But at some point they might put in the metal canisters like the Fomapan films and then there won’t be anymore issues I hope
@@DanMars27 It's not clear if P30 is going away. Conflicting reports. The founders did leave Ferrania and it's under new leadership. New management is giving "stay tuned" messages though. I consider P30 one of the truly great films on the market, albeit not a good choice for casual shooting. I'll note that Blue Moon still has rolls of 35 available at the moment, though, alas, no 120.

I have some really lovely shots with it, and enjoy it as a nice sunny day film with my kids ... what I've heard is that P36 is requiring some space and resources ... so maybe it's just one of those things where they will bring P30 back someday; but for now they need to focus on P36 ... What I need out of P36 is for it to be thinner than P33, which scratches too easily inside my cameras.
It appears that this film could have some use in special and suitable circumstances, but as general purpose film certainly not. There is absolutely zero shadow detail in some of your shots. Considering that they seem to have been taken under an overcast sky resulting in a flat lighting and that an Ortho film should really excel in bringing out the shadows as shadows which are mainly illuminated by blue light to which this film should be very sensitive, I find the lack of shadow detail surprising. It could just be the very high contrast of the film, wrong exposure index ( Foma films are universally at least one stop over rated in the iso dept ), over development or a combination of all three. I metered by eye for EI 400... so I'd say the latitude is pretty good, too

it's definitely more sensitive to green light than blue ... and I metered by eye only ... so I'm sure I missed some shots by a stop or so
