correct me if im wrong but the issue w charlotte tilbury is that they had a pop-up stall in mainland china a few months back (??) which they have now removed so some would still consider they are because they are currently not selling in china!!
for wet n wild they say that their products are being manufactured in china which means by law there, their products won't undergo testing unless needed, which is why it's in the grey area.
pls correct me if i made a mistake on some details hehe

So the thing with wet n wild is that since they're sold on the shelves in China, any of their products at any point can be pulled off the shelves and tested on animals if say a customer complains about a rash, skin infection etc. So in that way, they might be required to test on animals by the Chinese law.
Don't know about the Charlotte Tillbury. But Wet n wild products will not be tested on animals unless someone complains or reports having a reaction to their makeup. Then they would investigate and test the makeup on animals to "insure theyre safe." In my opinion that's good enough. But for others its not. You have to make your own judgment there. But that's why they say they're cruelty free? But why cruelty free sites say they're not.
MUA X The reason they aren’t considered cruelty free as well as any brand selling in mainland China is because the brand well knowing that selling there means their products are in danger of testing still proceed to put their products on shelves there. It kind of shows they don’t care much tbh. I absolutely loved wet n wild but it’s time to move on.
also my knowledge on Charlotte Tilbury, they had samples on China shelves and a system where you could buy them online ig. They thought this would work to be able to sell in China and still be cruelty free but I believe the samples could still be pulled out and tested so once they realized this they pulled their products completely off shelves. This is only what I recall about the brand but as far as I know they are cruelty free and very proudly.
The best resource I’ve found is logical harmony, she works very hard to keep us up to date.
When I decided to go cruelty free, I didn't get rid of all my non cruelty free products. It felt wasteful to me. I just didn't buy anything the wasn't cruelty free going forward. I wish everything was cruelty free because for me it's hard to keep track of what is and what isn't cruelty free. It seems to be constantly changing. I just try to do the best I can with what I know at the moment.
I did the same thing, I had favorites and it felt pointless to throw them out just to end up in landfill
I think that was wise! I really like Logical Harmony's website for determining which brands are CF.
I had given away all my CG palettes and then they went CF! So now I am using up and just not repurchasing WnW, PF and grey area brands like Lorac and Huda.
I did the same, after nearly 2 years I’m down to only owning 7 products that have been tested on animals (partly from physicians formula starting to sell in China)
I didn’t throw anything anyway unless it was like oldish or I had used a lot of it up. I try and buy everything vegan and cruelty free with recyclable packaging

Wet n wild was considered cruelty free until earlier this year, when people found out that they sell their products in China. Companies that sell their products in China are required by law to test any and all of their products on animals. So they are no longer considered cruelty free. Which is unfortunate cause they have some really good products. 🤷🏻♀️
I saw that but then still saw that they did meet the requirements even tho they sold to China so I was unsure
juicyjas its because they sell IN STORES in china so the govt can pull any products from the shelves to test on animals even if they are manufactured in china whilst charlotte tilbury the only had testers in store in china but turns out they could also test testers so Charlotte Tilbury testers was pulled from the shelves but can be ordered online so the chinese government so they don’t technically test on animals so in a way charlotte tilbury is cruelty free actually because they do NOT sell in store only through e commerce whilst wet and wild and physicians formula is not because they DO sell in stores in china.
But the products still say cruelty free on them even all their new ones. It’s on the back of it. They even say vegan on them to. Would be they still be aloud to put that on their products if they in fact are not?
I agree. I just found they are no longer cruelty free and I’m shocked that Charlotte Tillbury isn’t either! From what I read it looks like she was using a loophole to sell in China and is now not considered in the grey area, which is ridiculous especially considering how much she charges for her products. Unacceptabke
that just means CHINA TESTS on ANIMALS. not Wet n Wild themselves.

I totally agree! I also think that the vegan and cruelty free brands should be more encouraging to their customers to stop using animal tested on brands.
This is so exciting! I went cruelty free maybe about 6 years ago, so it has been a while. It gets so easy the longer you do it. All my products are vegan as well, so it’s another step, but so worth it.

Instead of decluttering non cruelty free items that you like, I would just use it off camera instead of wasting products/ money you’ve spent.

Charlotte Tilbury is cruelty free. They do not sell directly in mainland China. They will ship there, but shipping does not subject the product to the same testing requirements that selling on site does.

I started paying attention to that too. I am also slowly transitioning to cruelty free. I’ve realized that a lot of high end make up brands are not cruelty free.
@@Talyglam Nothing (in my opinion) is cruelty free. I don’t care about if a product has a cruelty free label on it or not. Because that label sucks by any definition.

as far as wet n wild, last summer they were caught selling in mainland china which requires post-market testing (on animals). personally I don’t consider them cruelty-free and the CF blogs don’t either so it’s a no-go for me, but some people still consider them to be because they don’t test pre-market (that I know of). like you said it is a grey area but I wouldn’t take any chances. hope this helps💞

There is an app called Happy Bunny that tells you if a brand is cruelty free. It also does other things too! That is what I use and I love it! So useful! ❤️ also, app called Choose Cruelty Free app.

Hey mama another relaxing video! One tip with the loose powders that I learned from another youtuber was try mixing some of them together. Im hooked on the haileys beauty loose powder that you love mixed with the peach perfect matte one just because I feel the same about the peach perfect one it is too matte but, adding a little to the haileys one its so nice!! I dont know try it you never know and might be a great way to use them up 😘 You can even buy a small container if you like the mix you make and just dump a little of each in a small empty container.

Try the milani bronzer if you haven't. It's pretty good.
Milani sun kissed bronzer is really good and so is the ELF primer infused bronzer. But as for a spot on dupe for the butter bronzer, i haven’t found one. The fenty bronzer i love and the TF milk chocolate bronzer i love too. I have so many i love haha.
Milani is great. Sad CVS stop selling Milani, saying they had poor sales, I was like "WHAT, no way", lol. Not sure if I can commit to stay away from PF Butter bronzer on a great CVS sale.😬

After this video and contemplating whether I wanted to go vegetarian or not, I went through all of my makeup and got rid of anything that wasn't cruelty free!! The only things I left behind was of course some Maybelline products and wet and wild. I was actually shocked I only got rid of a few products. I guess that's what happens when you are geared more towards affordable makeup since many luxury and high-end brands sadly test on animals. Great vid jas ❤️

I was so sad when Nars was no longer CF. I loved their products. I've been finishing up what I have from them. Only a blush and lipstick left now. I'm disappointed Laura Mercier is not CF too. Their powder is nice.
