    Anyone that's done major work to a vehicle, and getting ready to start it for the first time will appreciate that. That's hilarious.

    Amazing job on the bike so far. i just totaled mine about a week ago. A car turned left in front of me. Your videos are an inspiration to potentially rebuild it after I heal. I haven't had a chance to see it yet. hopefully it isn't too bad

      Yikes. Hope you heal well and glad you’re still here. If your frame is okay, maybe you can get away with a front end rebuild.

    Hi, Brandon. I did the same, I bought a 2019 crashed scout. I needed the top triple clamp, too. I had to paint the tank and front fender. Only 6k miles on the speedo. Beautiful bike never misses a beat. They are an awesome bike and very fast . Keep up the good work. Love your vlogs

      @BrandonBicasso hi, I saved at least $10k . Here in Australia, a new scout is over $20k. Mine owes me $10k all up.

    Those 60’s are good motors. I had one for my first indian. They quick, spazzy and fun. I always wished there was a 6th gear though final ratios match the full size scout, there is a difference I found between the 2 on the road

    Brandon, next time take a shop vac and get the water out of the air box prior to pulling it. Odds are the only water was inside that box. But to be safe, pull the plugs (like you did) and just spin the motor. Have a shop rag in each plug hole to catch any fluid. Job done.

    • @BrandonBicasso
      @BrandonBicasso  8 місяців тому

      Maybe next time. Wanted to see inside the cylinders and if the valves had worn seats from corrosion.

    Hey Brandon 👋 I have a question. Hopefully you see this but do you know if the thermostat cover/ignition coil from the previous scout models that has the est. 1901 badge on it do they fit the 2024 scout? It says it only fits the 2017 but I've seen it on the 2022 models. The early production ones.

    • @BrandonBicasso
      @BrandonBicasso  7 місяців тому

      I haven't tried it, but it uses a bracket that mounts in place of the non-1901 piece. The 1901 piece sits on the bracket. Scout parts are interchangeable. I don't see why it wouldn't work.

    Question: Should blue thread lock be used on motorcycle frame rails like I would on a race car?

    • @BrandonBicasso
      @BrandonBicasso  8 місяців тому

      You could. I refer to the manual for torque values and it wasn't noted to use loctite.I haven't used loctite on my other frame assemblies either.

    • @P.E.O.ll-RhodesScholarGraduate
      @P.E.O.ll-RhodesScholarGraduate 8 місяців тому

    You only don't need a lift until you try a good one. Don't buy the HF one.

    • @BrandonBicasso
      @BrandonBicasso  8 місяців тому +2

      I value moving the jack in the corner and having half of my garage space floor free more than a lift. Different preference. If I get a bigger space at some point then sure. But with 6 motorcycles in a 380 sq ft space at one time and wanting to walk around those bikes, a lift gets in the way.
