Baby Issa is way too cute. Love the stories you guys share. Oh and by the way, it’s dilapidated not dilapitadid (my daughter-in-law had to correct me years ago so thought I’d help you out with it!-not trying to be snarky!)
Just beginning and your daughter, Isa, is soooo beautiful and it warms my heart to see her tasting mommy and daddy’s food and the subsequent smile on her face. Life is good. God is good. 😊
After 2 months. I’ve caught up from the beginning. The journey is amazing. Now I join the waiting for an update. Fortunately I know this is the best sailing channel. Now I guess I’ll have to experience something different while I wait.
It’s sad to think that you have left Turkey after 6 months, but I am happy and excited to see the continuation of your journey. Hugs from Turkey! 🙋🏻♀️✨✨
At 16:56 near that pier on the right is where they found the body of Dr. Mosley, BBC presenter a couple of weeks ago. He tried doing the same walk but died of heat stroke.
I was going to write this. I am very sorry about Mosley's death. In recent years, I have only been watching his documentaries on BBC. Rest in peace Michael Mosley🙏 You have helped me a lot with my health.
I was going to note the same. Heat stroke is a killer. Michael Mosley died June 5. Not sure how many weeks in advance this video was filmed but doubt they were there at the same time as they would have noticed the large search and rescue efforts going on. I've followed Sailing Project Atticus for a number of years and really did a double take when this episode on Symi and hiking popped up. Perhaps it serves a strong, practical reminder that heat stroke can be deadly and can strike even the fit and those with medical training at any time.
Love, Love Love this content… Jordan, I love the teaching that you bring into your videos. I especially love when you teach sailing related content (like the med mooring and anchoring stuff - that was the best). Anyways, I haven’t commented since your baby announcement so from my family to yours - Congratulations.
I laughed all threw this one, you guys are so funny. Isabella is loving it there and pup. I definitely would buy a bunch of those sponges, they are so cool. This episode went by too fast...😊
I love the way you immerse yourselves in local culture. Every destination has its highlights that deserve to be promoted. Not the least erasing misconceptions too.
Been following you for years and this is my favorite vid of yours so far. Excellent cinematography, stunning villages and loved the history bit on the sponges. You guys also look like you are really hitting your stride and I'm super stoked for ya'll.
The best travel channel ambassadors via sailboat with the occasional boat work drama this lifestyle might bring from awesome locations around the globe. Excellent story telling.🎉
I am Greek and I live in Sarasota Florida. My family is from kefalonia Greece. In fact I'm headed there for 3 Week's in August. They go sponge diving in Tarpon Springs Florida. I wish I was there when you guys were. You can't beat Greek food. I love your daughter she is so freaking cute. Enjoy Greece
Cheese pastries are good but the custard pastry from the Azores are addicting. Keep up the content, always looking forward for the next one as the presentation and insight is great. BTW you missed the best part of Turkey-Eid al-Adha! Crazy week here in Turkey. Jim
Oh what a place and I wish That I was there with you. Thanks Matches for bringing us along, Jordan desiree desiree Issa and O s o And I can't forget the little bambino you have desiree.❤❤❤ Hope I see you all next weekend.😂
Usually when we talk about the old world, we talk about semi modern Central Europe. But when Central Europe talks about the old world, they surely talk about places like Syme. Great adventure
Seriously...I ditched the washcloth for a sponge (Apalachicola FL company on Etsy that my aunt worked for a couple decades ago) a few years ago. That thing is the bomb! Holds the soap, never moldy icky, and just exfoliates like nobody's business.
I am pretty sure there was a movie made back in the 50's- 60's about sponge diving in Greece. I think it was in black and white. I vaguely remember watching it as a kid.
Side note. Any and ALL OF YOUR FIXES, maintenance, repairs, etc etc…., don’t EVER STOP filming them please. They’re very informative especially to all us boaters whom may in the future come across a repair similar to one of yours. So thank you from all of us other sailors. Love the details when you’re on a project. Peaceful Journeys to you guys
DITTO @Tigerlilart 🎉🎉🎉 Reminds me of how loving and affectionate my mom and dad were growing up……especially when cruising on their (our) boat in the summer. Thanks, guys. ❤ See you next time. ✨🌊💨⛵️🏝️👙🌞✨
As a person that lives in Greece the house that had no door or windows and had the small stones on the ground as decoration, is an ancient house that may actually date thousands of years B.C. So it might of not have been renovated only because it might be a piece of history over there.
btw. every time you come to a new country check what the local laws are about anything under water. You can't just assume something like US laws apply... Where I'm from you aren't allowed to take anything from the sea without special permissions.... So if you find something at least don't show it in a video...
You can get that same savoury cheese pastry in Croatia, and other Balkan countries. It's called burek. There are many shops that sell this. There is a savoury or a sweet version.
Love you guys and your videos! Keep it up, favorite Saturday pastime during breakfast is watching hour family’s adventures! Thanks for sharing. By the way it is Dilapidated with a D! lol! Keep it up!
Your introduction to GREECE was outstanding. Who would not want to drop everything, buy a boat or plane, and get underway to this enchanting country. Your a hell've sails family. GOD BLESS ALL 4 OF YOU.
So , have you thought about the next boat? I think you may want to look at a cat. Now that ya'll are about to be Five! Just a thought. Ok stay safe out there and until next time, Aloha from the Big Island of Hawaii! Where it is summer year round. Cheers 🍻
You extolled the benefits of free-diving BUT my free-diving dentist got down to roughly 100 ft. too . . . and succumbed to a heart attack - and got a plane ride home from the warm waters of Mexico - back to Canada in a coffin! Just saying . . .
Can you share what you use for your map animations? They look great! I'm messing with Google Earth Studio, but would love something with a little more style. [EDIT] Guessing you (or your editor) are exporting a .jsx files from Google Earth Studio into After Effects and creating the titles there. Was hoping for a non-After Effects (ie, cheaper!) solution. :D
Even though there is a very short distance between turkey and Greece, it really is like a different world. In Turkey, everywhere is green and trees, in Greece, everywhere is stony. I really don't understand 😄

Isabella is getting so big! Such a beauty! ❤

Nobody ask you you don’t have to sound so bossy and like I know at all and a dictator take a seat
@@lanimetcalfe370 I did not think @hvulin sounded bossy or overbearing at all. Just informative, trying to be helpful.
@@jeffminor1583 he could use less direct language so as not to sound arrogant
F**k yer sea, hvulin.
VERY PRETTY SYMI IS!!!
Love you guys! It's 'dilapidated' :)
Isabella in the water was too adorable for words 😅 🤗💞
Man you guys are amas of love
Another great episode! We love watching Isa grow and explore. (Just a note, the word is "dilapidated," in case you have occasion to use it again. :)
Lot's of Greek sponge divers immigrated to Tarpon Springs Florida where they still dive for sponges there.
as a turkish. greece such a cool place. same culture same food same people. same region.
You can get that same savoury cheese pastry in Croatia, and other Balkan countries. It's called burek. There are many shops that sell this. There is a savoury or a sweet version.
You are right, but that type of "borek" is called "Talas borek" in Turkey. Talaş is meaning sawdust, because crispy parts falls apart like sawdust.
Yay Esa is an ice cream baby!!! Yay esabella!!!
Love you guys and your videos! Keep it up, favorite Saturday pastime during breakfast is watching hour family’s adventures! Thanks for sharing. By the way it is Dilapidated with a D! lol! Keep it up!
great video and one of the few times i've ever seen an advertisement that was completely something i need. thanks!
Pork chop ❤ Abuelito’s favorite. ❤️
🤣
Greek divers were imported for the sponge industry in Tarpon Springs, FL. Worth a visit in the U.S. for those who can't make it to Greece.
