I am Cal OES Video Series - Chad Stokes, Region Emergency Communications Coordinator

This week, Cal OES welcomes you to learn more about Chad Stokes, Region Emergency Communications Coordinator. His duties include coordinating, planning, instructing and monitoring Cal OES communications assets, such as radio equipment deployment, frequency coordination, satellite devices management, mobile internet devices and more.
“I enjoy working with the people that surround me,” Stokes said. “But most importantly, I enjoy serving Californians.”
He is passionate about helping the community, both local and state agencies, to fill any technical communications gaps or functionality before, during or after a disaster.
Chad previously worked for the California Highway Patrol as a Public Safety Dispatcher before joining Cal OES Fire and Search and Rescue division in 2007. He went to Ashford University where he earned his Bachelor’s in Public Administration and Master’s in organizational leadership.
