I bough the official issue run one by one and have it on my shelf. If you loved this you should read the jeff lemire run. (Which i confused at first 😅) Any glad you enjoyed it. I love it.
@@TheComicBookReport it definitely is a run that rises and falls. However, I personally enjoyed seeing Oliver queen being directly tied to political movements and themes. They really embraced the Robin Hood aspect of green arrow
This and the run by Mike Grell are pretty wild-at least from what I’ve read. Grell’s era begins with The Longbow Hunters, a small miniseries. I also enjoyed the run by Kevin Smith. This year one though is an excellent place to start 👏
@@lexofpower2822 Lemire's run is excellent, but very different in tone from most other runs. It's also New52, which shifted his continuity quite a lot. So it almost feels like it's own pocket universe version of Green Arrow. Still, one of the best GA runs out there. Personally, my favorite GA is Judd Winnick's version. It's hard to find right now, because the paperbacks are all out of print, but if you get a chance, it's a pretty fun ride. DC released a thick trade of Green Arrow / Black Canary a couple years ago. This collects the final arc of Winnick's run. I'm not sure why they started with the end of his run, but it's fairly self contained, so you don't necessarily need to read the earlier stuff to enjoy it.
Have you read Green Arrow Year One? 🏹
Yes, I love it! To me this stands up to Batman Year One and is the definitive origin of the Green Arrow!
@@BenGrimm1961 💯💯💯
Absolutely fantastic book. I need to find the Deluxe Edition for this one.
@@mitch-TO honestly I’d consider upgrading someday. Loved this book
@@TheComicBookReportGreen Arrow is one of my favorite comic book characters of all time. I started reading him when Kevin Smith was writing him.
I'm pleased you enjoyed it. It definitely has a permanent place on my shelf.
Great overview my man 👍
I had heard good things but it has exceeded all my expectations! What a ride 💪🏹
Thanks for stopping by!
"By Andy Diggle" that's funny seeing how that's the name of John Diggle's brother in the Arrow Show.
I’m sure that’s not without intention. Love finding Easter eggs like that in adaptations of comics
@@TheComicBookReport Did you hear about the tragic news about the passing of Ben Potter also known as Comicstorian?

I really appreciate that recommendation! I really enjoy Lemire and have yet to get to his run, I’ll need to keep an eye open for it 🏹
The longbow hunters and Rebirth by Benjamin Percy were good to me!
Liked longbow hunters.
Have not read the Percy story but I’m curious

I’ve really been wanting to read this story for quite a while. I love Green Arrow but I haven’t really read much of his comics, any recommendations?

@@mitch-TO how is the brighter day series from GA? I don’t temper the writers name, it’s JT Trul or something.
