I know I’m a little late, but you can get Lhasa’s from reputable breeders through the akc marketplace and a lot of them will have guarantees on the puppy’s health, you can meet the parents, and a whole bunch of other things! The only downside is the puppy’s are very expensive because they’re all akc purebred bloodlines and so they range from roughly $1,000-$3,000 based on what I’ve seen. Hope this helps with finding a new Lhasa!
@@emmacrumley8870 hi Emma I did just what you said and wasnable to get a puppy about 6 months ago. She is nothing like my other Lhasa, headstrong, stubborn and too much energy. We are working with her and hope that she settles down a bit in the near future.
@@terribohn7588 We have four lhasas. The oldest is six now. He was also very stubborn when he was younger. They say it takes 3yrs for lhasas to mature. The six yrs old has indeed become mature and docile. I have another 3year old lhasa. She can still be a bit stubborn but knows when we already get annoyed with her stubbornness. Very smart. Our 2year old is the most un-lhasa. She follows orders right away (well most of the time). Our 1 year old is definitely still a puppy in terms of lhasa apso years. Very strong-willed. When there's heavy rain, she runs around the yard bcs she knows nobody's going to chase her 😭 but looking at our six yr old, we know she'll calm down someday. And that will be the same for your puppy!!
Any tips to stop ours biting our feet every time we move? We've literally tried everything. I get that at this age they're teething, it is getting my parents down in the dumps. Literally bites everything in sight. We've tried ignoring, we've tried yelping, we've tried putting her in her crate when she's bad. I'm 31, and I've spent hours with her with a toy and playing with her instead, she still wants to nibble on my fingers and when I'm walking on my feet, she sees them as prey or something because she'll often lay down like a sheep dog when I'm walking and then pounce.
That's funny, but on the other hand I can understand your frustration for this being irritating. what we found when she nibbled at furniture we put vinegar on the areas and she stopped nibbling them.. Just a thought maybe.. Soak your feet in vinegar with hot water for a bit and then walk around, maybe after she has gone for them and tasted the scent she want do it again as they don't like the smell of vinegar..? So my puppy is now 20 months. Much better. Hard to train but she has settled down a lot.
