Worst but for me @ 6.00 mins Bob. Try the left hand line but it’s not easy when wet. Challenging ride is the bash but the views are worth it. Great honest vlog mate👏
I might have got down the left line but the guy that was sort of in front of the left line where I stopped did put me off slightly but TBF I think I would have stopped anyway I'm just not comfortable with that kind of rocky steepness and need a bit more practice on features like that. I'm glad it shows how hard it is because when you see pov of someone just riding it easily it hides how intimidating it is. Hopefully next time it will be dry and I can get my head round commiting and dropping in 🙄
Its savage in places and I just didnt have the confidence to ride all of it. I don't edit out when I walk lol, in truth when I was looking back up at the main gnarly section telling D where to come down it looks far less intimidating from below, it is extremely steep and rough , Like I have said I left my bravery pills at home ;-) just a pity i lost the footage of the 4 guys that rode down, we werebt with the other group , one of their party walked down it as well as me , when Dmitrij posts his video I will put a link in here as Iused his phone to film him riding that section so he migth include it
I was still within my ability at that point;-) it got much harder for me further on , the group of guys there was just one of their group that walked where i did along with Dmitrij they had the skills and rode the real gnarly bit ...I left my bravery pills at home
You did right Bob, so many people have injured themselves bowing to pressure from other people and it’s just not worth the pain, live to fight another day pal 😉🙏👍
We did this ride (apart from walla crag) earlier in the year, some tough sections in this, decents and climbs! 2 punctures in the worst areas. Got lost a bit as well and ended up pushing and walking about a mile of the track up and over a big hill and having to chuck the bikes over a wall then over a big style which eventually got us back on the correct path. A very good ride thou.
@@Lazarus72 Walla crag is all rideable on the E bike, thats a plus, I think we missed a section out after Grange , we turned left off on to a steep bridleway where I passed the two dogs off leads and went a few hundred yards more up there before Dmitrij's garmin went haywire so we went back down to the road and then continued on the road towards Keswick, At least next time we are both prepared and know what to expect. As you know I'm used to getting lost lol .... I'll go and check your vid now I must have missed that 1
I dont know where Dmitrij got the gpx for his garmin from lol , I thought Wall Crag was the footpath that Rich the mtb guide got re classified as a bridleway I've had a quick look and cant see on the OS where the bridleway is on Walla I think it might still be shown as a footpath . I'll trust you tho as you have a way better knowledge of routes in the lakes, after watching your vids I usually end up trying to figure out where you've been so i can try them, no doubt catch up with you soon while we're out. looking forwards to your posting vids again as you get time
Great video; love the descent by Castle Crag and Broadslack Gill. Which way up from Seatoller did you take, steep road (up the pass) to meet the bridleway or the footpath?
@@preachblue think it was the path we took a right onto a steepish bridleway quite rocky then eventually cut a corner off on a steep grassy bit to join the path again so I guess we missed the road climb ... TBF I had no idea where I was or headed to on this one neither did my mate we were just following a route he had got think it was trail finder and the Garmin glitched a bit after Grange and we missed a bit of bridleway off ... Enjoyed it tho and have a lot better idea for next time

So chuffed you posted that. I’ve planned to do it for a while now and you’ve saved me from feeling embarrassed about a few pushes. Top job.

Great video mate, was nice to catch up👍
A great ride with excellent company and thanks for the encouragement to extend my skills and ace to see you nail the bits I walked . See you soon 🙂
It's a classic with superb views and lots of challenges. No worries about a short walk or two
Brilliant video as ever pal, that descent at 3.40 looks well steep and technical and great fun, I’m watching it now on my television, epic pal 😎👍

I see you made the same classic mistake as I did going up Walla Crag. Taking the footpath instead of the bridleway. Check the map 😂

@@kryten1021 there's a bridleway on your left as you go through that first gate, looks like everyone misses it though but it looks an easier ascent
