My late father had a blue one, I used to get it out of the shed and ride up and down the drive while he was out :-) Looks virtually the same as yours Martin.

This takes me back, used to ride these on the coal tip near my house in the 1970's when I was a kid. Could pick these up very cheap back then, used to hammer 2p's in the flywheel when the clutch slipped Lol.

Back in France in the 80's these used to be modified like the scooterists and scooter boys used to do with their Vespas and Lambrettas. I've seen chopped ones and chromed ones and dropped street racers and rats.

Martin I’ve been waiting and waiting for this and thanks it’s finally getting the Butler treatment… I’ve been to plenty of farm, agricultural sales along with carboot sales etc and seen plenty but won’t buy any until I’ve seen the expert aka Martin Butler show how it’s done I’ve only ever attempted projects until I’ve seen you do them and I’ve been itching to get one of these since me conversion into adulthood in the early 80’s and one of me mates had one I remember everyone used to ride each other’s bikes back then and this was the fastest 50cc out of all of them believe it or not but only for a day or two then it was the slowest 😆….
Good luck Mate and as I said I’ve been waiting a long time for this project all the best to you and your family Martin

Hi Martin, Nice to see you getting started on this one, hope you can find the parts to keep it original, but I have a feeling some might be hard to obtain as there’s not to many of these around. What’s the inside of the tank like? Every Puch I get needs to be cleaned with the acid method I use. I’m looking forward to the next instalment thanks for the video 🙂👍

Did you ever do anything with this old Mobylette? do you still have it? I can see this one is a bit of a mess if you've lost interest are you interested in moving it on? I do like these old things and already own a 1974 50V Mobylette.

I had one of them things Martin....and it was the most unreliable, nastily built piece of french trash...
The engineering is awful on em....and to think they were still churning em out in the early 80s..
    Best of luck with it...
