It’s not the best but hey if your stuck anything is better then nothing and as far as a blow diff in 5 minutes why would you put it on the rear that’s a no no anyways not only diff problems but trans problem. Why I’ve done is pull a front tire of and switch it to the back and run the spare if I don’t have a full sized to the front. It will get you to a tire shop every time unless you never check your spare tire for air and it’s flat like I’ve seen way to many ppl do 😂
Awesome awesome video Greg A, I’ll consider one of these for my 2019 Ram 2500 Cummins, looks like a bad ass cover lol. And your definitely right about Banks’s research game, they’re on top of it and their products show it.
It would help to put a disclaimer that Banks and Amsoil are both channel contributors and your previous diff cover provider wasn't. This is a commercial.
I know it’s been stated below, but mag hytec uses an O-ring not a gasket. It’s all over their website and info on the internet. It’s one of their main selling points.
13-18 not sure about 19 up, cooling wise you can put a industrial water pump all metal better fins just have to use a belt for 6.0 powerstroke just put it on my 15 works great
Love the videos Greg but not sure this product needed this much review. Banks basically reinvented the wheel here. Not to say banks doesn't do good work on other products.
Greg, you did not mention that the cooling ducts, when hit, brake so they do not compromise the ability of the cover to contain the gear lube AND Banks will send you a replacement free. I have been watching the videos for the past year.
Gale Banks has proven time again ,he knows his shit , and backs it up , and calls out the imposters who cannot produce data to back up their claims . That's why he can charge whatever the hell he wants , cause he stands behind his product with a giant set of balls . Im a lifelong customer and have a ton of his products on my vehicles , with absolutely no failures or issues ! 👍👌Oh and as many vehicles as you own , why not invest in gear oil in 5 gallon buckets with a pump , like us smart guys 🤣
Nice job promoting a couple of awesome products. Gale Banks is THE MAN. He takes no shortcuts on anything he does. Though his stuff is a bit pricey, it is the best of the best. Stay well and stay safe.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
How well does the ram truck hold up with everyday use? Reason for the question is when I ask about what truck to get I always receive an answer of ford truck is good , power stroke fuel pump issues and they are costly! Chevy are good but have there fuel pump issues as well. Ram , Cummins is less costly but truck around the motor doesn’t hold up. Would like your opinion since you have plenty of rams
Tony Turner I’ve done about 4,000 miles in a month already, no temp probe in the rear end, but has got to run cooler. Would have liked to had a oil analysis from the oil with the flat back and compare it to the oil from the Banks. Would like to know the effects of shear and the wear and tear or 30,000 miles for comparison.
@@davidbottles3035 I've just never heard anyone say there rear end failing from any of the other sellers but if it works for you by all means I'm happy for ya and if one comes my way free or very discounted price lol
hey greg, my bro bought a 2018 mega cab duelly, and has had prob from day one with it hydro boost gone out twice, ball joints both sides twice and door handles breaking.. everything is turning to plastic crap and junk. Are you having any kinda probs with yours? stealership wont work with him at all on things needing to be fixed. the hydroboost they fixed but its still not right just seeing if you have expietenced any probs with your truck. KEEP UP THE AWESOME VIDS...
You should check out griffin radiators, I know you are a mishimoto guy but griffin is an entirely usa based company. I really think you might like them. Currently waiting to get mine to replace a broken factory radiator. #buyUSA
Greg ive learned alot from you an your opinion does matter cause I know you wouldn't steer someone wrong cause I know you thuroghly research your parts before you buy them so long story short your opinion matters an I value your opinion an if I was ever blessed enough financial wise again for a 3rd or 4th gen Cummins I'd get alot of the parts you used
Watched the banks series and I'm not sold on it. If other dif covers caused issues then we'd have known about it LONG before those videos. Too many people with tons of miles on an aftermarket cover, and to few issues seen for me to be sold on it.
@@joshuarichmond5683 the banks videos talked about how it cause wear from insufficient oiling of other aftermarket covers. But if insufficient lubrication was an issue we'd know about it already. He made up a problem to sell covers. It may increase oiling, but the oil its already getting with any aftermarket cover is fine. Tested by a large demand for aftermarket covers. While it may be beneficial honestly it isn't an upgrade that needs to be made.
Looks nice, and seems very functional, but seems not very off-road friendly as if a rock catches a bottom corner of that cover, you’re gonna have a bad day with stinky diff fluid everywhere.
No offense but I did skip to you putting it on. Only bc I watched the video of banks making that diff cover already and learned at lot from mr banks lol but yes that is a well recommended diff cover
Sometimes it’s nice to see someone else justify wasting money on dif covers like me, i’m like Greg I like to have the best of best on my truck and it’s nice to hear someone talk about it when I go to do a UA-cam search for a product reviews
hes very educational, especially if you own cummins. He can rant. he has experience. If im looking up parts for my truck. I always go and see what Greg is running first. Because chances are he has exhausted all the options and will only be using what works the best. and if he needs to explain why hes switching diff covers when the current brand hes been using has done nothing wrong. It makes perfect sense why he is doing that. On a side note I think hes burnt enough tires and ruined enough transmission/engines/wraps to keep you entertained. I always value his advice the most in his videos thats what a good channel needs to grow.
We need a discount code for the American Forces Greg 🙏
I miss seeing actual work be done on this channel. Wish he would go back to it. Worked more when he had a job
Just finished a cleetus video and see this added 5 seconds ago
Literally my routine
Haha going to watch his next!
My daily routine
Same.
Informerical channel now.
I could only make it to 6:57. That was a lot of talking and repeating yourself.
Christ greg. 11 minutes in and I still feel like I'm watching an infomercial
The amsoil pouches are a god send, made my diff oil change on my 04 ram way easier. Glad I saw you use them. I have now converted to amsoil. 🤘
I love these Amsoil pouches, I just did the rear diff on my truck and wow what a difference having a flexible bag makes in filling process
Or you could use a pump like a normal person.
@@ebels3 that's the entire point of the pouches, they eliminate the need for a pump at all
No such thing as talking to much Always here to listen 🍻👍👍✅✅
Just bought myself the black ops bank rear cover too wish they had a front one to match it
That stock spare tire is kinda useless if you blow a tire.
This is absolutely not true
That's a much better spot for a set of train horns.
@@dustincanale184 if the spare is not the same size as the rest of the tires you cannot use it. will explode the diff in 5 minutes

i like those air scoops on the banks to direct the air up the fins. nice!
Get to work! I want to see some projects get done.
I wish they would make one for the front axle so I could have one that matches the rear
20 min video to install a diff cover. Not hating man but I’d love to see the 08 get buttoned up or something more to the videos
I agree. Been waiting to see the 08 for the last 5 videos. Like dam bro lol

I preordered mine when they started making them, been very happy with it and it looks great!!!
What are you doing with the old factory cover? My 2500 has the stamped cover and I've been looking a factory finned cover.
After a pretty shitty Friday greg_a always comes to my rescue Banks✅✅👍👍

Banks needs to make a red cover
Here's a question why doesnt he use amsoil atf in his automatics?
ive always hated the look of rain guards until seeing your 08 in this video for some reason
When is the second gen going to be completed?!?!
Looks good! is this just cosmetic or what’s the purpose of it?
The point is to lower the temps of the fluid and cause less turbulence. Scroll down and you'll see the video and data. www.bankspower.com/i-2896
Greg isn’t temperature and heat the same thing bud?
Nope....temperature is a measurement of heat/cold
greg needs to get the 08 done so the dually can be clean again
