Main idea: it is possible to sense without perceiving whatever you sensed (sensation without perception). This points to the idea that what we know about reality is constructed by our mind because simply SEEING the world is not enough to UNDERSTAND the meaning of what is seen.
Imagine designing an experiment and Prof Gabrielli says it is “cute”, instead of “very clever”
Terimakasih banyak. Saya di Klirong, Kebumen, Indonesia bisa menonton dan belajar banyak sekali dari seorang MIT professor
Wow I wish I had the opportunity, brains and money to go to MIT. O wait maybe I just did. Thanks much, this is a mighty leap forward for mankind

in Canada in school year 2016/17 college and universities received $13.9 BILLION from governments. That was 46% of their revenue. Pretty sure its similar for USA. There is nothing 'great' about sharing this content with people for free, because universities are almost half-funded from our tax dollars. What is really strange is that why ppl tolerated exclusivity of knowledge for such a long time .... Its not about computers: TVs and VHS tapes are available to ppl for more than 40 years ....
Great lecture and a marvelous series we are lucky to have. Sure a lot of content is being redacted due to copyright restrictions, however. I would think that educational use would constitute fair use.
I'm really thankful ..
I'm always looking for new interesting lectures on Psychology/Philosophy, please let me know if you guys have any recommendations, would be highly appreciated

The Man who Mistook his Wife for a Hat
sounds like a joke but i think it's true
makes you wonder, how much do we really understand the world
The world is what we understand it to be. It is the world that shows up for our kind of mind.

Why is this course so focused on very motor and perceptual stuff? Psychology is so much bigger than that...
why? sound quality is perfect. HD vid wouldn't ad any useful details

Some folks are sorry for the animals. I do too. But they have the best lives before the lab experiments. Well, in the good places. They are supposed to be treated the best ways.
