    In this video, he explained the basic idea of psychology. he stated his lecture by asking, "what is psychology?". from the answers, we can find out that psychology is not a very new concept. its a part of our everyday actions. he then said that psychology, is not only related to humans, but also related to animals. He then took a practical example to explain psychology use in everyday life, ie:- watching people around us. he said that their is a part of our brain, which remembers faces, which we have seen in past 24 hrs. that part of the brain is not under our control. he explained this , using an example. He also said, how we develop ourselves, by comparing us with others, from the time we were born. he also explained this concept with an example. At last, he told how can we change person mind (his behavior, etc )using a simple technique.

    I graduated in Psychology from then Biola College in 1973, Having studied under Dr. Phil Sutherland and others. I came out of Biola with the firm conviction that is was for the most part nonsense. What is Psychology? The words means "study of the soul", an attempt to know the mind through observing the exterior and inducing it's contents and motivations in the outward appearances. Basically, it is a competing religion, full of assumptions based originally on humanist thought. Other than medical pathology, it really is no better and probably quite a bit worse than seeking a wise elder in your gathering for counsel.
    One of the major observations I made going through the courses was that those who seek psychological training are themselves trying understand their own person by watching others. To those who want to study psychology I say, don't do as I did and waste your time. Be broken by God into a good tool of His and find your peace in His service.

    Just looked through all his lecture video names on UA-cam. Not a single one is about evolutionary psychology. And he often says "God made us this way" in his videos. I wonder if he is using evolution in his studies? Kinda need to know about evolutionary psychology if you want to understand modern psychology.

    I find it funny when religious people take psychology then argue that it is a rival to organize religion and how it's useless compared to God's word. Mostly because after taking said course they realize the co dependent delusions they had and get upset when they are told their feelings for something greater is most likely a weakness they didn't think they had.. lack of self confidence. Fear of being out of control not knowing . Common fears we all have but instead on working on them they cry. God made me this way, why fix it. Telling people to remain in pain and internal suffering and damaging friends and family's lives, is ludicrous. Then tell them putting Faith in a fairytale to solve their issues is like telling a.child with cancer you don't need treatment just ..wish upon a star. Or blow out birthday candles and make a wish. It's.easier to hide behind the phrase it's out of my hands. No responsibility no accountability for your own behaviors. Oh the.devil made do it but Jesus forgave me. Is the.greatest mental disorder affecting our species. Psychology is the study of the mind don't add your superstition into it because it dis credits your personal delusions.. keep medicine.and religion separate I don't go to a church for a broken leg don't go to psychology with a.broken theory on the universe composed of conflicting stories written in dead languages that no one can prove who the.claimed written really was. Special when the oldest bible has almost 15,000 conflicting differences with today's bible's. As well as historical proof most of the stories where taken in by slave camps who mingled with different cultures and meshed their beliefs. The story of Jesus was.told 5 times by different cultures as far back as 3000yrs before Christ. I'll take a.science with proven evidence and proven results over a mass delusional scapegoat

      Why is your rhetoric so angry?

    • @chrisvaldes1351
      @chrisvaldes1351 8 років тому +1

      Many of my friends and family including myself owe a lot to psychology . I've had a few friends kill themselves because they couldn't understand themselves. Religion makes people feel broken it gives them false support. Religion is just a out of date early form of psychology. That promotes belief that the very sciences.that gave you penicillin, electricity, heart transplants and as in this case a form of understanding of humanity and mental illnesses that are growing more rampant. Serial killers , child molesters. People who are suicidal or suffering from debilitating mental illnesses don't need to ignore it and be told God made you this way don't seek help seek Christ is a joke. Have your beliefs I'm the first one to defend the rights of freedom of religion I support anyone's choice that helps. And if you seek both then please do but don't tell people who can be easily helped not to. And have them kill themselves or someone else because of (your) = rhetorical here , beliefs. I've study psychology for 15yrs lost too many to stuff that a medication and counseling would of solved. Don't vaccinate, no blood transfusion s . Let your kid die and convince them to go along with it by saying it's gods plan. No disrespect to anyone but something so serious should not be swept away by a religion.

    • @dereknelson8473
      @dereknelson8473 8 років тому +2

      I agree with many of your points and am sorry for your friends deaths. In your opinion what is the basis for your value of human life? In other words, who cares if someone gets "help" since by your worldview as far as I can understand it is naturalism/materialism? Please let me know if I am assuming something about your worldview fallaciously, but I am curious.

    • @jameshampton7833
      @jameshampton7833 7 років тому +3

      Are you an atheist? I see that you seem to take pleasure in accusing religious people of delusion and making broad generalizations about their character and mental processes.
      Since they are so deluded, you must be basing this judgement and analysis on some sort of scientific evidence. If so, then please prove the scientific evidence that there is no conscious experience after death, or that all religious experience is false.
      Your claims about biblical discrepancies between the oldest Bibles and the newest are based on your ill-informed notions concerning the Bible. Most of these so-called discrepancies are little more than the ENTIRE NUMBER OF DISCREPANCIES between the over 25,000 full or partial copies of the Bible that we have (and this number of copies is more than ALL other ancient documents COMBINED!). The way these deceivers come up with this number of discrepancies is by counting the AVERAGE one or two found in ALL TOTAL OVER 25,000 COPIES!
      None of these discrepancies change any religious doctrines. That alone proves that you have no case for your claim.
      The Early Church Fathers quoted over 98% of the New Testament in the first three centuries after Christ. That alone proves your claims baseless.
      Well, you think that a misspelled word or two found in 25,000 copies of the Bible found scattered all over Europe, Africa, and the middle east PROOF that the Bible can't be trusted to represent what the original authors meant? If so, you are delusional. Why not at least then trust the OLDEST documents? Even THOSE say that Jesus died and rose again. So, what't your beef? You don't have any evidence for your case.
      Why do you trust what Julius Caesar wrote or what Homer wrote? The oldest copies of the Bible are 1,000 years older than those, and they have more than 1,000 to 5,000 times more copies.
      The Dead Sea Scrolls' copy of Isaiah was almost exactly the same as the copy dated some 1,200 years later. Your claims are baseless.
      You have been deceived by 'The DaVinci Code', 'The Zeitgeist Film' or some other lies concerning Jesus's story having been told before he was born. Watch the film 'Zeitgeist Debunked' if you'd like to know the truth about that (unless you'd rather cling to lies).
      The fact of Jesus's resurrection is the one ancient event that has more evidence for its occurrence than just about any other event in ancient history. Ancient history is primarily a matter of written testimony and archaeology. The life, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the most thoroughly documented event from that time period. More people wrote about him in his time period than any other figure. Even most Roman statesmen weren't written about biographically, and the few that were were only written about _after_ they died.
      Even the Roman Emperor Trajan wrote about the Christians.

      still praying for you...🙏 God loves you❤️ and has not forgotten about you. That will never change but it's up to you to receive it despite all you have suffered. Jesus suffered too and chose to go through hell on earth to give each of us a chance to have eternal life. Eternity is forever. I pray you choose to accept God's gift of life for your eternal good. No matter our status in life or what we have done, we all stand equal at the foot of the cross and before God on judgment day. Jesus died for you. There is nothing good in the end outside of Him. God bless you.🕊

  • @theoveractivebrain4936

    Neuroscience is the explanation of psychology, not god. I’m assuming this is a special Christian education institution because you wouldn’t get away with that in the English system that I’m currently in. He’s really good and enthusiastic and makes you want to keep watching, but I don’t have time for god in the sciences.

      IrfanHomes actually religion plays a decent amount of importance in the psychologist observation it is the basic macra analysis witch focus on cultural difference , violence , mental illness , and religion BUT UNLIKE SOMEONE LIKE YOU WHO HAS NEVER studied psychology and only likes to make assumptions about the certain aspect of small fragment of the larger picture to only teach but gets ridiculed by the observer is wrong so go ahead and make your atheist comment and get all the likes for making such an ignorant and mocking statement but a man with no God is a man thats alone
