Brings back fond (and foggy) memories of seeing the Dukes live in Worcester back in the day. Amazing musicians and tunes. Good times for sure. Thanks for posting.
Doug, in the late 80's I took drum lessons from you. While I still play, this band, was my template for that ever elusive thing we call "feel" With Mr. Going's passing it caused me to reflect on that time. I owe you and Wilbur and The Dukes a great measure of thanks and gratitude. Now living back in Worcester for yet a third time, adjusting to a new marriage to my wife Katherine(who owns and operates Nordgren Funeral Home)I pass by places that once were like Tammany and the memories are always good. I point these places out to Katherine and tell that it was bands like yours(and others)that gave Worcester a sublime musical culture. Thanks again and again and again. Please know that your indelible imprint that you left on my perceptions of what music is will always be with me. BAL
Hi Brad, glad you are well. I thought of you today... I was thinking of all the great Dukes' music I fortunately possess, but the one thing I would love to have is us doing "Walk Away Renee," which I heard by Southside Johnny on a mixtape you made me!! Weird...
