Follow us on PinballMayhem So what is that metal rod in the bottom of your Satellite 200, Prestige, 240I jukebox and others for? jukes juke jukebox jukeboxes
Nice flick, but I have one thing to mention: The technique of this Jukebox is an ESIII the Prestige usually ( only the ones with visual mechanism) have ESII. There are some slighter and one big difference between those two versions: In ESIII the carriage can be switched in his directions by the computer directly, the initial positions for finding the initial positions are detected with photo couplers ( both systems also count the positions with a small wheel inside the carriage with is driven by the tooth gear on the front). However an ESIII carriage can only be used in ESIII and IV computers. This change was made to reduce the time for finding a selection. Rumors say that an ESII carriage may work in higher systems to, but I prevent myself from trying it, because this type has always to run the entire magazin before it can select B sides or lower positions...
Msn 240 jukebox, I have cleaned the motors and the cartridge moves fine, when it stops it will not pick up a record, it just has a clicking sound like something is still stuck. it has set for 15 years.
Hi there, I have an NSM city one (1979) with a New York skyline complete with intact twin towers. Can you tell me how to engage 'Free play' mode and turn off the 'random play' mode? Which means that it randomly plays one the top 10 most played discs without credit.
Nice juke you have. Free play is done by hooking up a switch. The place to hook up the connections might be found in the schematic (marked keyswitch?). Random play should be a setting in the computer. It's been quite awhile since I setup mine and don't remember. Should be in the owners packet.
Hi and congratulations! I have an NSM CITY II, they fixed the electronic part for me (at least I hope) but now they say that I have a mechanical problem (grease ect ect) on the motor. Hope by following your tutorials, it can solve the problem. Do you have any suggestions for me? greetings from Italy Ciao
Greetings from Wisconsin, USA Umberto. The simplest way to clean parts of the motor is to use rubbing alcohol or other basic solvent. Ideally you should use a non detergent 20w motor oil for lubrication. But a synthetic motor oil would work as well. God luck on your repairs.
I'm not familiar with the differences. But I'll guess that the main structure of the mech is the same. It's the sensors & electronics that will be different.
@@PinballMayhem CIAO !;-)...I followed your tutorials and cleaned up the engine. Now I have to disassemble the front panel where the woofers are, but how do I do it? I disassembled the screws , am does not come out. Tks Umberto
I have the ES II Prestige 160. Could you tell me how to get it to free play ? I tried pushing the buttons like the manual says but now I have to push the credit button 20 times to get 7 credits.
Great question. It requires wiring in a switch. I found some instructions doing a Google search "nsm prestige 160 free play" alt.collecting.juke-boxes.narkive.com/VT3Zznwu/setting-nsm-to-freeplay
I have a nsm prestige es160 jukebox that has a problem with the speakers staying live even after a record has finished playing! Which means you can hear the mechanism ejecting the record and the brush cleaning the stylus being amplified through the speakers! They are supposed to cut out just before the record finishes and only come live again once the stylus drops onto the next record! Can anyone offer me a answer why this maybe happening? Any help would be great!
@@PinballMayhem Hi thanks for advice but unfortunately I don't have manual or schematics and can't find anything of use on Internet! If you know of anywhere I could find this information it would be much appreciated! David
Not that I know of. I believe Seeburg attempted to sue NSM for copying (and modifying) the record mechanism design. NSM's design was much simpler but not quite as heavy duty.
Wow Jeremy, that is a beaut'! I appreciate you breaking down the details to this kind mechanical of stuff.
Thank you! It's fun for me and I really enjoy getting suggestions from you and the other viewers. Keep it up 👍
Number One!! ToP!

Thank you for the extra information
Outstanding, thank you. I've been wondering what that rod does for over 30 years!
Thanks for the video idea! In the video is the first time I actually used that tool 😂

Very cool.
hey Jeremy!
Interesting video.... would you happen to have a Seeburg R that you could do a video on?
I don't have access to a "R" model at this time.

@@PinballMayhem they told me that the engine of my NSM CITY II is different from the other NSMs like the Prestige. It doesn't seem to me

Dig out the schematics and look for the mute switch/circuit.

is NSM related to Seeburg?
