It would be really helpful to talk about the business side of the investing ie...how you package and ship, type of shipping you recommend, any software you use for inventory and investment tracking. Kinda nuts and bolts stuff that may not be glamorous but necessary to run a business. Also discuss how much you need to invest to be able to really impact your financial situation. Great Videos keep them coming as you can tell I'm a newbe!
In bricklink you should check the value of sold items in the place you live, in EU are different prices and in US are different, dont look at asian prices if you dont live there, the delivery time and cost impacts the buyers.
Awesome video, great tips included. I have a question, how do you deal with 'frustration free packaging'? Do you avoid listing on amazon or do you risk them (FBA) sending your product with a shipping label slapped on it. Do you have experience with this, any insight is greatly appreciated. Thx again Shane!
I personally sell frustration-free packaging sets back on the same frustration-free listing on Amazon, and I keep them in that packaging while storing them. The boxes they come in are awesome - perfectly fit the set and protect it during shipping etc. So I'm a fan of selling it exactly how I received it 👍
Great video! My Mum watch all of your videos. I am a kid and learning to do lego reviews. If you dont mind can you please tell me which camera you are using please. Mum is using phone at the moment and we are looking to buy a camera. Thank you!
I got a couple of the ucs style Lego ‘89 Batmobiles for £175 each BNIB last September. And the set has currently sold for £340 to 360 + postage on eBay U.K. 😍 don’t know if I’m gonna sell them, yet…
I've been seeing them selling on Ebay and I wish I'd bought another one even for £220. I bought one over summer for myself and I wasn't planning on selling it. I wish I'd just got one extra set and I could've got £100 profit now and even more if I held it
Another important note is to understand the weight or size limitations for items within each company. PirateShip is super easy, as Shane said to use. Just input an address and give a quote to a customer. It only gives the cheapest, or best for UPS and USPS, but FedEx typically costs the most anyways. Another important factor is where you are selling, as eBay and FB offer shipping in two different ways. FB as a flat rate per weight (mostly but not always), and the other based on dimensions and weight. Hope this helps!!
Hey Michael, that's something I teach inside the Ignite membership program (we had two more members get ungated just today). You can check out the Ignite group here - launchpass.com/brick-bucks/brick-bucks-ignite.
Ebay is great! As we saw here, the prices for Diner are very comparable. Some other sets will do better on Amazon but you could just do some research on what themes are best for each platform and then focus on the right stuff in your buying strategy
Hi, love your videos. I watched all of them! I am an investor just started last year. Want to ask your opinion on Lego’s proposed subscription service? One of the benefit that lego offers is be able to buy lego “archived” sets. Do you think it will gave huge impact on second hand market?
Thanks for watching! I really don't think so. It would be an operations nightmare for them to offer every retired set, so I think it's more likely it'll be a select few older sets that they make available or something like that. Regardless, it'll only be for subscribers and I think the market demand on Amazon and eBay will continue to grow and thrive no matter what
Love your videos, but no offense, you really didn't explain how Keepa works nor did you actually prove using Keepa that the Amazon price is what a set is actually selling for. You just basically said, this is what it is, without proving it. I would love a more thorough walkthrough of Keepa.
Yeah that wasn't the goal of this video - Keepa overview would be a whole different conversation. You can search UA-cam for it, but overall, the green line on the Keepa graph shows that the set has been selling, and if there are no lower prices on the listing then we know with certainty that it must be selling at least at the low price
@@adamwozniewski4007 for predicting future values, no there are no sites out there that I recommend for it and it should be done by each Lego investor themselves to be honest, by checking what other similar sets have done in the past and considering other factors about the set etc. For predicting retirement dates, go by the dates in our download able spreadsheet or what you see on BrickSet. And for checking valuations, follow the method in this video :)
@@BrickBucks ok amazon is geared towards the house as with everything amazon does is for its own not for the value of a marketplace true reflection of a market is bricklink and ebay as its geared towards a wider market and not only local but international amazon is more of a online chain of shopping malls and there are people out here that will disagree but thats why we have a discussion its ok to have a differance of a opinion of what i feel just this is my 2 cents

great point, thanks for sharing 👍
Great channel. Im from Germany and think your channel is one of the best! Can you make more LEGO EOL videos?
Hi Shane...Love your broadcasts and blogs. Will you do any live stream anytime soon?
It’s funny to see the difference from US to Europe here the American Dinner is sold for 220-240€ at least in Germany.
wow, huge difference for sure
What are feelings about reassembling sets frome used parts and selling it as a used set?

No video for 2 weeks? The last time this happened the brick bucks duo split - are the band getting back together?
Great videos. I just sold some sets and lost a great deal on shipping. How and what can I use to get my shipping rates down ?
check out Pirate Ship - it's a great tool for reduced shipping costs, including worldwide shipping. Hope that helps a bit!

Hey Brick Bucks. Could you walk us through how to get ungated to sell lego on Amazon?

Enjoyed the video a lot I am wondering is it still a good idea to try selling on eBay or should I just try to get into selling in Amazon!

Do you ever use brick economy?
No I don't and I really don't recommend to in its current form. Can be very misleading
@@BrickBucks Can you elaborate a bit ? Any other tool/site which is right now more reliable ?

@@BrickBucks thank you, I had no idea
Dafuq... in germany it goes for 220€.
Will you shave you beard at 12k subscribers ❓❓❓
I'll do it at 100k 😂
amazon should never be used as a price marketplace
Why not?
