  • Making an adapter for my drill that will raise and lower my trailer jacks way faster and easier than the manual hand crank that came on my gooseneck trailer.

"I think I put it on too thick"
    Sprays more paint...
I can totally relate to this behavior 🙂

Look all you have to do is get a 1" impact sock and drill a hole in it and put it on and put pin in whole and done!

Not a bad idea. Probably be fine like that but I wanted it to catch on the flat sides like the factory handle does instead of just relying on the shear strength of the pin. There’s a lot of torque there when jacking it up loaded. Thanks for the tip! 👍🏻

Over time, an impact will damage the gearing inside the Jack/jacks.

@@russellmoore5711 I thought so too. Those impacts can only do damage to those gears. I use the drill for that very reason. 👍🏻

      You’re right.

Great Hack! Thinking of doing the same idea with impact and a spare socket.

Gears in the jack may not like the hammering of the impact. Better to stick with a drill.

@@Smokeroux I’d probably try the drill first too. How’s the international coming along?

@@MountainMindset Well, that project got put on hold due to a slight medical concern. That was followed up with end of school trip to Florida.

@@Smokeroux I hope everything is ok and I look forward to more loadstar videos. I’ll have a few coming up myself in the meantime. 👍🏻

Hey, quick question, how’s the Dodge running? Anymore problems?

The transmission seems ok. I’ve towed 20k gross trailer weight up some steep hills (12 on the pitch and roll screen) with it and no problems so far. 🤞
