    James Joseph Brown (May 3, 1933 - December 25, 2006) was an American singer and musician. The central progenitor of funk music and a major figure of 20th-century music, he is referred to by various honorific nicknames, some of which include "the Hardest-Working Man in Show Business", "Godfather of Soul", "Mr. Dynamite", and "Soul Brother No. 1". In a career that lasted more than 50 years, he influenced the development of several music genres. Brown was one of the first 10 inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at its inaugural induction in New York on January 23, 1986.

    I want to inform you that the first song by the Soul Generals is "We Came To Play". To my knowledge, it was first performed live in 1983, and they kept on performing it through years. Yet it was not released until 2019!! On the newest album of the JB's

    I was there, the concert began late because James Brown dress trunk was lost….

      If you look at the band, they are wearing their ordinary clothings. I believe it is the only time we see the JB band without the uniforms! Just thinking about that is totally crazy. I have not seen a band commeited to their uniforms for decades like the JB bands did!

      @@josephellis6697 Well they came that morning straight from Dublin ireland , at airport they forgot to load all the stuff from soulg,s in the plane ,yust partly.. Lucky enough Danny Ray holds JB stuff always close to him when they move from place to another, so JB had his showclothes ..And yes this only time i knew &seen myself, the soulg,s had to run back to their hotel to get some Nice clothes to do the show...thats why show started later ,How i knew well i was there (backstage)...This entire video 3 songs ive got already straight from the master since mayby a week after this show took place , what ive heard they had only permission for yust 3 songs..However ive recorded the whole show.

      @@dutchsoulman ⁠Thanks for adding more infos so the people would know the full story. I wonder why Mr.Brown or his managers or whoever would put such policies on not filming the whole show! What a strange thing this is!
