- Here is the actual grocery haul, it really does make it easier to be organized in my food pantry and my refrigerators. I also like to organize my freezers so when it’s time to go grocery shopping, I know what I need to get or maybe I just need to get a couple things to top off my stock. But having everything organized, and in a certain place makes it easier for me to go through everything and then to get my grocery list written for the next haul
Having a big family has made me try to plan and prepare ahead of time. To write out schedules and to be more organized so it’s easier to prepare for activities, grocery shopping, or family vacations.

It's so fascinating to see an American grocery haul compared to our Aussie grocery haul (we have 11 kids :) ) Such different options. We love coming over to the states and the food is one of our favourite reasons! 🥰

Excellent haul! The fruits and veggies had me like 😍 - I live in Georgia, but remember when I was living in Ohio and Meijer's first opened up... My grandmother would send me ALL over the place to shop... Had to get meat from her butcher, bread from the bread store, and Meijer's for everything else... Meijer's is awesome!
Came from DCP, but subscribed for the great content. Love how you and Hailey banter with each other. I do hash with corned beef, and then cabbage to cut through the fat. I also make a whole meal that is cabbage, bacon, onions, chicken broth, herbs, and mixed veg. Interested in learning more recipes from you.

Have you ever made overnight oats, you need quick rolled oats, chia seeds, then milk, or dairy substitute for milk. You put it all inside a mason jar in the fridge over night in the morning add berries peanut butter and honey then eat and enjoy.

Our family lives 100 miles from shopping so understand making a big grocery haul. Our last trek to Billings we stocked up and spent almost 800 bucks. The prices have definitely jumped. Our favorite grocery store is WinCo and Costco.
Gotta love the 7 for $7 weeks. Although the ten for $10, with the 11th item free was better.
When making your list, write COUPON next to item. And put the coupons with your payment [cc, debit card, cash, check (do stores still accept personal checks?)].
I love food hauls. I am always amazed how much food costs in America. And here I normally crack up at the food cost here in Scotland x

We have 10 kids! I live where there are meijer stores also, but I’ve always found them to be more expensive! If you have aldi, I’d recommend giving them a go because that’s how I save most of my money! We do about $1400-$1500 a month for all 12 of us. I am betting you could get your total lower! 🎉🎉🎉
I'm in Canada and sure wish there was an Aldi here...on Avg you can take the prices in the US and multiply by 2 or 3 x and that is how much that item is in Canada :(

My daughter and I watch her all the time. So we made a bet on how much she spend. My daughter said $ 1, 349.89 and I said $1, 105.49, who's ever came the closest we have to treat the other person. My daughter was like mom that's not fair cause you know pretty much on how much things costs in stores. So, I told her that I wanted to try a drink that's been on tik tok frm Starbucks and I want a nice dinner made. Thank you Mrs. Bells!!!

Fairlife anything is so good! I can't do anything Chobani. I love Greek yogurt but that brand tastes sour to me. I've tried the no sugar yogurt and I hated it. My husband loves it 😂 I've tried keto bread but only Sara Lee. It was awful..I just kept chewing & chewing lol..now I use tortillas instead. Mission are $4.48 buy sometimes things that are better for you cost money. But I will make a quesadilla of sorts w some lunch meat and cheese. Using only 1 Tortilla. But I dip in a tiny bit of salsa ..its delicious & low in carbs in general. I don't even count the salsa bc its literally a tablespoon worth. Next time you get lunch meat at the deli try Ham on the Bone. It's the BEST Han I've ever had. & I use it just rolled up w some cheese or add to eggs etc...
I love how REAL this family is & how Heather is ALWAYS conscious of how much she spends & it's a realistic amount. Plus they don't waste! ❤

I see you bought brown sugar on your grocery haul. Have you ever tried making your own? You'll need 1 cup sugar and 1 to 2 tablespoons of molasses. Mix well with a fork and store in an airtight container.

Depends really... store brands are often a few cents more than branded if the branded is on sale.
I have to find out what I need to stock up on food pantry. We have a five bed house.and garage my three daughters have one bedroom and my son have his only bedroom. As a Mennonite I bring up on stockings up for emergency. My husband who is Amish was bring up the same way. We take the small bedroom made in our food pantry my husband made all food shelf and shelfs to put the food on. We have five freezer kin our garage. We use the garage for my husband and son work shop.

List is organized by departments. Crossing stuff off when you pick up the items. Less impulse buying.
I know you went to Sam’s club before. Surprised you don’t go there more often. You would definitely save money on many things you bought like bacon and ketchup yo name a few.

Oh & also keto ish 😂 my daughter & I make green bean casserole and add a tiny bit of the fried onions. Plus she uses cream of chicken bc she doesn't like mushrooms...but we get French Style Green Beans & Walmart Onions are less than half price..but we actually ordered a pick up order & I got French's brand instead bc they were out of Walmart brand! But it goes well w Meatloaf etc

That's crazy.. I want your prices. For a family of 4 going grocery shopping every week n half here in NY its anywhere from $550-$600 buck's. Prices are outrageous here.

You would fall over if you saw Canadian prices...take your price and double it, then you are getting close to $$ in Canada - not to mention the brutally high taxes we pay (around 50% in income tax, as a starter).

Try shopping at Aldi or food 4 less or Save a lot!
I use plain Greek yogurt for sour cream in my recipes taste the same to me then I dont have to buy sour cream at the store I feel I save money that way plus it's way better for you
What do you store your baking flour/sug/etc in?
I just store mine in airtight plastic containers- whatever brand you choose from Wal-Mart - Amazon, etc. If you have a lot more ahead then you will use up in let's say 3 months, then you can store the rest in your freezer to keep it really safe (not sugar) flour specifically does well in the freezer, just make sure it is sealed air tight. Sugar will last a lot longer then flour. Flour products like pancake mix, cake mix etc can get bugs and those are best used up by the best used by date", but again, these do well if stored in a completely air tight container in your freezer which then adds a year to the shelf life, maybe longer. Hope this helps.
Wouldn’t shopping in bulk at Sams or Costco be cheaper for your family? You buy milk? Don’t you have a dairy farm or just own cows? That is so funny that you buy frozen chicken when you have a chicken farm. What is a brisket waffle bowl? Do you go through milk pretty fast or freeze some? I’m the same way with coupons lol. Either I leave them at home or I forget I have them. Drives me crazy. That’s one reason I like grocery store apps because you mark off everything and then the coupon savings are automatic. But if I can save a little more with paper coupons I like to. Sometimes they restrict more than one savings on an item. Love your knotty pine cabinets. I think even with a list, savings, family of 10, for what you bought, it seems like a lot but I’ve never shopped that much. I think grocery prices are through the roof. I hope the kids appreciate how lucky they are. Some parents would have the kids pitch in their money for groceries or buy their own food. You are a good mom. As much as you support the older kids still (don’t know if they live in house or have full time jobs or college) but can you still claim on taxes?

My Mama always said you pay for convenience. Even if you pay a little more you saved in time and gas. I'd push a cart for Starbucks! Good deal to me! That definitely is a huge stock up haul! The amount you spent between shopping trips wasn't bad at all! You got quite a bit for your money! Especially with the price of groceries these days! 🤑 Did you get your husband drinks? I have to have the coupons in my hands or I'll forget them too! I have forgotten many times! If the dates are out you can use them on your next shopping trip! 🛒🛍️
