What I did say, which is factually true, is that in regards to film Thomas Edison gets the credit for investing in it and hiring William Dickson, not the hero status portrayed in this skewed documentary. Film was invented by the Europeans mentioned (et. al.) and truly improved by Dickson, who was employed by Edison.

Edison came from a poor family. He didn't become rich by doing nothing. He was true visionary and he worked tirelessly to achieve his works.
