I have been fortunate to fly business and first on the emirates a380 many times, the latter via upgrades because I was travelling so much with work. First, the A380 is fabulous for long haul. The sense of space and the way it just ploughs through whatever weather there might be without drama is incomparable. The way emirates use that space for the small bar is just fantastic. It isn’t huge but it just feels like you are living the dream. Sipping cocktails whilst chatting with strangers at 40,000 feet is simply unbeatable.
The adventure starts with the limo that picks you up from your home/hotel and takes you to the airport. Then there’s the lounge where you can also board directly to the plane from. We travelled business class from Australia to Italy and return we travelled first class. Business class you only get Moët & Chandon champagne but first class, it’s dom perignon. 😀
Hey Amarpreet and Raj! Really glad you enjoyed this video. It's a little different to my usual content but I loved the experience so much that I couldn't resist making a video from it 😁
Would love to have you as a travel mate on my business class travel. I was wondering if there is a privacy separator of some kind between the isle seat.
So each row on Emirates alternates where the privacy separator is. On one row the aisles are close and the 2 middle seats are separated by the bulky bar area (like you can see on the first flight). The next row has the two middle seats together with the bars on the outside, providing more of a separator with the window seats. So there are options for solo travellers and couples.
Up against the window in odd numbers you have the privacy screen to the aisle. Like your own little cubby and total privacy. 7,9,11 in K are my fav BC seats. Overnight flights, even travelling with hubby we pick these. In the middle im pretty sure its also odd seats that have the divider closer to the aisle. Done BC on Emirates many times on A380 and you cant beat it. 777 is a different story. Fine if travelling with friend or partner during the day say from Dubai to Europe. My hubby hates the 777. But im we arent down the back so dont whinge. Lol We have flown BC on Singapore , Turkish, Qantas, Garuda, Cathay, Malaysian and they dont come close to Emirates.
Can you comment on first class or business class on other airlines? Compared that is to Emirate; since you have been across the globe a few times. It just seems a lot of money compared to the same thing even I've had on other airlines flights. I don't travel that much outside of Canada and love your channel very much-I value yours and your partners opinion. Its true, paying bit more is worth it. I bet I get hate for this comment but I have had similar food on Air Canada for less.
I've flown business class with Qatar as well (video coming soon!). Emirates is very good but I think what made this flight extra special was the fact that it was an A380 which provides an extremely unique experience as you have the bar at the back of the plane. In terms of service and attention to detail, Qatar was slightly better which I guess is to be expected as they've won business class of the year! I probably wouldn't go out of my way to fly with Emirates if they were significantly more expensive than other airlines for the same route (they were actually the cheapest for me which is why I chose them) but should the opportunity arise where the price is competitive with other business classes then I'd definitely recommend giving it a go, especially if the flight is on an A380!
I would say Emirates comes out on top on the A380 by a mile. Flown Qantas, Singapore, Malaysian , Turkish, Cathay and Emirates win hands down. Qatar i wont fly for 2 reasons. You pay extra on Q suites flights, but they are always changing their metal at the last minute and anything non Q suite is sub par. And i wont fly them for safety as a female. Research what happened when a new baby was found in a garbage can in the terminal. Females were removed off the plane and subjected to internal examinations to see if they had given birth on the tarmac. Nope im not flying them. My own little protest. They have been cheaper to fly at times and i just wont take the risk however small that risk maybe.
Went Emirates AKL - DUB couple of weeks ago. Not as good as it used to be. Was fantastic before but now slow and food was very bland and average . Bar is great though
You have very keen eyes! Yes, the seatbelt sign came on for a bit whilst we were at the bar so we all had to sit down on the seats by the bar which have seatbelts.
I flew from California to London on business class with Delta for about 2000 dollars and then return flight on KLM in Business class for the same amount this past summer in 2024.
@@jonathanradut2595 US$2,000, a lot cheaper than from Asia to US East Coast, anywhere from US$6,000 to US$9,000. What kind of B-Class. Is it 1-2-1, flatbed...? some B-Class has 2-2-2, which I don't consider true B-Class....
@@johndole9381 both of mine were flat bed, 1-2-1. I bought thru Air France as they code share with delta, KLM, and virgin airlines. So you can see flights with four of those airlines. It was also on Deltas brand new business class. And they came with lounge access with were amazing.
Emirates A380 business class is a great product and I love the bar area at the back but there's one big issue with the overall Emirates business class experience that you were lucky not to experience on your route. Unless your final destination is Dubai you' have to change/connect to another flight at Dubai. That's fine if the routing is like yours and the connecting flight is also an A380 but for quite a few destinations the connecting flights are on a Boeing 777 and at the moment the business class cabin configuration on those aircraft is amongst the worst in the industry - how many top-ties airlines still fly a 2-3-2 business class configuration for goodness sake? Emirates is upgrading its 777 business class cabins to a 1-2-1 configuration but as a solo traveller I think that Emirates business class is great if all legs are on an A380 but personally would avoid it if any of the legs are using the old-style 777 cabin. It's probably not so much of a consideration when travelling as a couple, just book a pair of seats next to the window, but when travelling alone privacy is one of my key criteria and the 2-3-2 configuration means that there is not a single seat where you don't either have to climb over someone to get to the aisle or risk someone else needing to climb over you. This will all change once Emirates completes its refresh of its 777 business class cabins but in the meantime I advise solo travellers to check what cabins will be on their routing (and hope a plane swap doesn't end up putting you in an un-upgraded cabin at the last minute).

The bar was a real highlight for me! I believe they only have them on A380 flights
