You cannot trusts banks and governments even Switzerlands banks refused to give back gold to a customer, gold must be stored in outside vaults and your country.
James is just too smart for this league. I saw a interview between him and Max Keiser recently. Max is usually a motor mouth with his guests, especially when he feels they aren't challenging his intellect in the slightest. But he (like everyone else) was left spellbound by the depth of Mr Rickards knowledge and the succinct way he communicates it.
Rickards is a broken record, that has been playing for 20 years...yada yada yada

Call me paranoid if you want, but I prefer suspicious. There are so many people saying to buy gold and that doesn't fit the mentality of the money-suckers. If you get a hot stock tip, you don't advertise it. You buy up all the stock before the tip is not hot any more. Sharing their advice to buy gold makes me suspicious. The elite who own the money of the world can do anything they want. In physics you can say that electricity does this, it has always done this and it will continue to do it. The laws of physics don't apply to finance. They can devalue or increase the value of gold however they see fit. Saying that gold has a mystical financial power that can't be manipulated ... well ..ok
I suppose another reason for my suspicion is that gold is a very unusual metal. It is the highest non-super-conductor electrical conductor. It has other properties that make it unique and very important for manufacturing. I-Phones and computers require gold. The pharaohs chose gold to make jewelry and coins because it is pretty and shiny, easy to work with. At some point we will not be able to continue to waste our gold making shiny jewelry if we still want I-phones. Similarly, we have so much silver in land fills (garbage) that the future of silver production is going to take on a whole new meaning. I can't believe that we can win against the banksters by hiding our money in gold. I mean sure, maybe nobody told them about the secret investment power of gold and we will be able to trick them .. but .. really ???

Gold is only valuable because WE/THEY say gold is valuable. It is, in reality, a rock we dig out of the ground and there is actually TONS of gold laying around. Same as diamonds. When are people going to get smart and value things for purpose rather than beauty?

Haha. Gold peaked huh? Well, I'll bet the farm that you'll live to see $5K/toz. We are not sacrificing the dollar for Europe! We are sacrificing the dollar because we CANNOT PAY OUT DEBTS . . . so we print . . . and we print . . . and we print . . . and we print. If you cannot pay your debts you must either default, or, in the case of government, print more dollars.
huh? nearly every nation the world over is in some form of qe so your either lying or are misinformed. Would you consider paying one credit card off with another credit card paying off debt? If so then we will never agree and I wish you the best of luck in life, if not then why do you believe our deficit is growing, not even mentioning unfunded liabilities such as social security and medicare. no fiat currency has ever survived more than 40 years while gold has been money for thousands.
