I think, of all the wonderful pieces Mr Hauser plays, and I’ve heard most of them, Hayden’s cello concerto C , is the one in which I catch myself smiling. It is a great piece and he looks so happy while playing..almost like a game between him and his strings. I love the pieces he chooses.
I think the cello waited a very long time for Hauser, to cry and laugh in his arms. They are truly in love, all strings attached. Watching Hauser, I'm never quite sure if he is a child, a savant or just a very happy person.

To me, this movement is one of the happiest pieces of music I have heard, and the way it is played here shows the joy and fun in playing it, to say nothing of the great skill of the musicians in rising to the challenge. And it also speaks loudly of the composer's heart.
