Welcome to Traplines and Inlines
I have the pleasure of sharing my passions for the wilderness, building, fixing and all other things interesting with my great group of UA-cam friends.
I have lived offgrid in the bush for over 3 years, but now I am moving to the next chapter in my life and am building a big log home as my next place to live. It is going to be an incredible journey building my own home. I am using logs I harvested myself and plan to do most of the work by myself. This project will be the main focus of my channel, with many other adventures along the way im sure!
Thank you for watching - Навчання та стиль
So much respect for this young lad making his way through life with such a great work ethic and attitude !
thank you my friend I appreciate it!
Man your none stop.Building the log home, figuring out shit to make equipment work, on top of that produce your own merchandise yourself. What a work ethic. Good for you .
WssE
Perfectly said - don’t find that work ethic much anymore. Much of today’s society has the entitlement attitude!!!!
I like her station but the language needs to be toned down a write start as low it's $5 a week
Man it's refreshing to see a young hard working problem solver with such passion and very high standards. When I was 12 I wrote a paper and said I was going to build a cabin in the woods - it took me about 40 years to complete that dream - you are many years ahead of that. You are on a journey you will never forget.
Eè
Kyle you make Canada Great, from all the videos I watch on cabin building, I know that that you are the best one. And I like how you explain 'everything' that you are doing in your building, your truck repairs, your equipment, etc...In all honesty I can see you being a teacher in the art of log building and getting paid to do so! We are ALL behind you Kyle on what you choose to do in your life, you are one in a 'million'!!!
So well said, i agree wholeheartedly
Dont get down on yourself for speed slow is good in this type of work. Just keep doing what your doing it will pay off in the final product. You are deadly amazing young MAN RESPECT.
thank you Michael!!
Dude! Who you are and what you’ve taught yourself and what you’ve accomplished so far is just so freaking impressive!!!
Way to go!
😊
Thank you my friend I appreciate it
You amaze me! You’re smart, talented, you persevere and have a great attitude. Your house is going to be monumental! Loving every video.
Have been watching you for years. I'm so impressed with the work you're doing. Please stay safe. I know I'm not alone in wanting to see you finish your dream.
Unbelievable what you have accomplished. This house would be impressive if it was being built by an experienced crew. I'm blown away that you are doing this by yourself, and it's your first log home build. 👍
Can't wait to see this channel explode when the algorithm starts showing these videos to a larger audience.
Yup...gonna have to edit the spicy language 😂
Your craftsmanship is unbelievable. Such precision so that the logs are welded together perfectly. Nice work! Look forward to more.
And then to think you will all be taking this apart to move it to its final destination and then rebuilding ALL those walls...respect!
Fella this is fucking amazing! From where you started to now has been great to watch.
It’s great today folks. The lad been is hard at it.
I am a furniture maker and pride myself on tight fitting joints. You are doing the same with logs, I am very impressed and have the highest respect for you. great job!
Chainsaw holder in the back of you truck is brilliant
Right! Simple and practical.
Years ago, I'd take a old 4:24 metal hog pan, fill it with charcoal, and light it! When it was glowing coals , I'd slid it under the tractor and throw a tarp over it! An hour later, it would start!
Try using your heater hose ss from your pickup with quick disconnects and hook up to your tractor and let the hot water flow through your tractor and back to your truck. It will heat up your tractor engine.
good idea!
Great idea seen it used alot in logging in winter@@TraplinesandInlines
Whew! Glad you suggested this. Thank goodness for alternatives :)
I said it once ill say it again "Your A Good Man!!!!
obviously dont like a compliment
We get 40 below in northern Ontario also ,the old pickups were set up to plug the coolant lines to a cold motor, after a hrs or so of circulating warm coolant from pickup motor the cold motor would be good to start
Really, really, really, really nice job bro....inspiring to see you getting it done. you're gonna need a second tractor/operator to get the big ones up..good luck, be safe....kindest regards
YES!! Excited to watch💛….ok, you’re always thinking! Love the progress, so easy to share in your excitement when a log fits Perfect. Can’t wait to see how you solve the problem of getting the next two up. A bit of an engineering puzzle. See you next time, watch your back when the bears come out🕊️
Push forward and stay focused
First and looking forward to watching . Was actually thinking to myself when the next part would post and boom! Here we are !
You are doing awesome and your house looks great. I’m amazed with your patience keeping it perfect of course it has to be when finished. Thank you and keep safe until your next video.
Better to take your time and do the best job you can, in the end it will all be worth it. 100% you are a bad ass, I mean you'r building a log home completely by yourself. I find myself wondering what in the heck is Kyle going to do next. Build a Bush plane in the bush from scratch, it should shock no one if you do.
Around here we tap into the heater hoses on the truck with quick couplers so you can circulate coolant through equipment, doesn’t take long.
good idea!
This is what I like to see a young man with a dream and actually doing it. My god, you are a very hard worker. You know what you want, and nothing stops you from achieving it. You amaze me . Keep beening you.😊
It looks amazing your doing a good job
thank you Dan!
Thank you for your continued videos. Have a great day.
Hello intentifying work congratulations on the idea, I am 76 years old, I used to have such a passion and today I am following your idea. Emilia
Buy yourself a used Parachute and put a Herman Nelson heater blowing hot air in and your tractor will be warmed up in 30 min. We use do this starting equipment on the pipeline in northern Alberta
Been a rough few years for me loosing my dad , but seeing these videos , gives me the ambition I need. You are doing great things !!
I'm sorry you're still missing him & understand. This weekend is the 1 year anniversary of my dad's passing. This video kinda reminded me of him doing log & tree cutting work in the snow, too. And building big bonfires for us kids to gather around. Not that the cold bothered us much back then :)
One man, One tractor... look what the Fk he can do. Deadly.
You are an awesome kid ,A true champion for your generation, far and few between!!!
G-man & I enjoy you videos have for a few years. Love from Michigan
Glad you like them!
You have a real cutting talent my friend. All the best from Yorkshire.
It's going to be amazing house keep up the good job
Amazing!! Can’t wait for these next “bigguns” going on…. your engineering skills will be call to duty! You can do it !! Stay safe!🙌🏼🥰
Damn you get it right for sure. I am glad you are happy. You made me happy today by posting a video. I so wish it was like the old days one a week lol. I understand other priority for sure. Have a super blessed week.
Thank you Rodney I am glad you enjoy!! I wish I could post that many videos like that again and maybe one day when I am a better builder I can. I have been putting a lot more work into these ones and have been finding the building in the video has been taking a very long time
Awesome, the cabin is looking great. I can’t wait to see it when you are finished and looking forward to seeing you trapping again.👍
finally. i ve waited so long. and your upload one hour ago saved me from a boring sunday evening. you are my hero
With it all up off the ground like that it's not going to start to rot too easy. Also you don't want moisture trapped in there by an oil or it will rot inside. If you spray it with a Borax and water solution, it won't mould, yet the moisture will still be able to come out and it can season/dry some more. After that it will still accept an oil based treatment later when you're happy with the moisture content! Frign' awesome home you got going up there dude!
Happy Sunday Canada 🇨🇦 😊🏠👍👍👍👍👍✌️
happy to se a new video from you :) the house is coming along nicely
Theres some other bushcraft youtubers putting out content of projects they put little time into. I love how you dont upload so often because you take your time to actually do the work the right away. And you make sure to get some good stuff done. Your commentary is spot on and the way you describe this whole process really shows great preperation. I bet you are farther now then what you show here on this video. Big props man thats an awesome log cabin. Aint she a beaut
Traplines and inlines and Super Bowl on the same day! Great day for us!!🎉
Bad ass man keep up the amazing work can’t wait to see a roof on this beauty
Woah that 3d rendering was awesome
Love those joins…everyone perfect!
As someone who has been in construction for 15 years, this is an amazing thing to watch take shape.
Doing an awesome job my boy.. She's going to be a beauty.👍👊🇨🇦🇺🇲🇨🇦🇺🇲
Amazing work! That is all.
The size of the log home you are making is unique. I know of only one dude on youtube who has made one the size that you are doing. This is an amazing accomplishment. I am looking forward to seeing your progress in the future.
He said from the start he was building a home & not a cabin - he wasn't kidding! :)
Finally!!…. Gonna watch later,
Just glad to see the Lads alive, ayy!
haha I am sorry for the delay it has been taking me a very long time to do the building and make the videos
One man band, kicking ass and taking names, looking real good
good luck, great progress...
Always Great to see Traplines and Inlines pop up with a new vidya. Love it man keep up the great work 👍
Big fan over here in Alberta 🤙
thank you my friend I am glad that you like them!
Awesome stuff!!
Dude!! It's looking great man!
thank you John!
Traplines, the Log House is looking beautiful. Man, massive respect. You’re doing an A1 job!
Stay Safe my Friend!
Thank you Ted!
Very miner thing..But to get that gray out of them logs...Use yiur backpack sprayer and use 10 to 12oz of bleech per gallon of water..spray from bottom up!!! Not from top to bottom or it will streak..wait 10 to 15 mins then wash off if will get rid of that gray on the logs!!
Hey Jake I plan on cleaning the logs up before I finish them. The gray is definetely getting pretty bad and I cant wait to see them polished up again!!
Your Doing A Hell of A Job!!!! 👍
Hooray!!!!!! You're back!!!!
You are a genius keep up the awesome work it won't be long before you are living in that beautifully constructed home
to heat up that tractor fast you need a propane torpedo/space heater ran by the generator ive used them for years to heat up equipment itll put out more heat alot faster than the diesel heater they are around 120$ for a small one
I can remember my grandfather would light a charcoal briquette fire in an old flat metal pan and after the flames died down he would slide it in under the oil pan. In about an hour the vehicle would start. Gas engine too! Probably the old SAE 30 days.
Kyle, hard to put into words how wonderful it is to see how much you have accomplished by yourself young man. Thank you for sharing it all. Total Respect for you my friend. God Bless 🙏🏻 Appreciate you, stay safe and take care 🙏🏻
I admire ur patience and ur commitment to perfection
You are amazing. We look forward to your videos. We are all so proud of you.
The Man with the Gift!! Tackles projects that seem impossible!! Cabin build is built to such precision 👍 So impressed with his work ethic, hard work and attention to detail. Going to be one beautiful cabin!!B Deacon Manitoba Canada
Thank you Barry always good to see you on here my friend
Amazed every time I watch a video. The precise standards you hold yourself to is inspiring. Keep up the great work.
One of the best and channels on youtube. Real and honest... thank you for continuing to share with us!
love your content ... keep sending it
Going slow is better than not going anywhere. Getting excited for the next video already....blessings from the UK
Everything your doing is nothing short of amazing. I don't have the time or skills. Raising 2 kids made sure of that but you are going to have a log home you built with your hands, sweat and blood. In the bush. A paradise many never truely aquire.
Only just discovered this young man on you tube, but admire his hard work and tenacity. I will keep on watching and look forward to seeing the end results. Well done🎉
This young man never ceases to amaze.
I’m with you. I’m 56 and own a couple businesses and would pay premium $ for a young person with his ethic. Not easy to find. Keep ur head down and keep moving. Every day it gets closer to being a reality. Ty for the video and bringing us along. Well done
Doing a grate job for a one crew keep it up.
She's looking deadly Kyle. Stay safe and warm my friend. Best wishes, Deb
Awesome accomplishment young man. 99% of the kids your age would never even attempt to tackle what you have. Watching from the warm town of Destin Florida over looking the Gulf of Mexico. Keep up the great work and videos.
Proud and relieved for you getting to this milestone. I can imagine how good you feel. That minus 40 was no fun here in Edmonton either. Now there is slush in the streets! Keep it going, Kyle!
It's amazing to me that you're doing this all by yourself...Once finished the sense of accomplishment you will get. I can't wait to see the finished product. You will have a house to live in for years to come.
I am amazed by how great of a job you are doing. Watching those logs fit perfect made my day. Can't wait to see the next video
👍A lot of the time the Journey is the reward no matter how much time it takes. Another great video!
Всегда восхищаюсь теми , кто вкладывает в свои творения ДУШУ ! Спасибо !
You're doin a hell of a job young man! You have tremendous skill and ambition. Love it!
You ROCK , keep going never stop . The World needs more guys like you .
Thank you Marc
Great job!
The learn-while-you-go makes you a legend. The quality is just great.
We used to do that all the time. In marine construction it was a necessary. The boss did the numbers. If it was 15 degrees F. we stayed home. 🙃
Just a thought: that diesel heater comes with a 'Y' connection. So split the output and aim one through the heater core in the cab and the other toward the pan and block. Add a small 12v pump in your heater hose to circulate the heated water through your block. The confined cab will keep most of the heat that is directed to the heater core and the pump will pull a good amount of heat to where it does the most good, into the block. A 12v pump won't draw much. If you move your battery into the cab it too will be warmed before starting when the diesel heater is fired up. Check out how the over the road rigs plumb in their Espar (basically the same thing) diesel heaters to keep the engine warm and the cab as well when they are overnighting.
Wow, what an epic build! This young man will get this done, one way or another. I'm confident of that! I do wish that he had someone who could help him, though. It would have to be someone who is knowledgeable about building log structures. You don't need someone on the job site who would set him back due to screw ups. Anyway, I'm cheering you on, my young friend!
❤❤ This young man ,You have not only a natural talent and a very down to earth attitude . We enjoyed the building of you log home and cant wait till you get the lid on it!
Extra coolant lines and quick couplers from your pick up to your tractors .... as long as your pick up will start , tie your coolant lines to your tractor .... We did it to every piece of equipment we had up north when exploration drilling ......
Farmers used to build a small vented tub and slide it under the oil pan. A hot smoldering fire for an hour or two.
Absolutely fantastic. It really looks great friend. Let’s hope it warms soon and gives ya some time to finish up the walls. Congratulations on a job very well done. 👍👍
Buddy she is definitely getting much closer to being finished!!! Still lots of work to be done but it will definitely keep progress and hopefully you will finish by next winter but definitely don’t get in a big hurry and keep up all the amazing work!!! I definitely can’t wait to see it all finished up and you living in a dream that you have worked so hard to achieve!!!! Remember keep up all the hard work buddy!!!!
I am impressed with your vision. I will give you my thoughts as a 72 yr old. Your are doing it right, get everything just as you want it now, make it as good as you can because you will be my age in a flash and fixing stuff don't come as easy as it used to be. Your craftsmanship is excellent.
*-40...* -due to "global warming" of course.. LOL I'm a carpenter, and have built a number of homes on my own and dude... I would not have the patience to do what you're doing. Awesome work T&I
Steady as she goes Kyle impressive work we all learn something as you proceed on the build thanks bro.from Ont Canada.
man, I've been following your channel for a few weeks now and have watched several of your vids from start to finish... seriously nothing short of IMPRESSIVE!!! can't wait for more.
Sir, I am humbled by your efforts and results. I never realized building a log home was like building a watch the size of Big Ben. And that’s no joke.
