The lotus sounds like a great Bb horn. It does not have that C trumpet sound to it though.

I'm curious if you feel the Monette mouthpiece works within the same philosophy of the Lotus trumpets? I know Adam played Monette before Lotus, so there are certainly similarities (like even octaves and playing low on the pitch), but are Lotus mouthpieces similar in the blow characteristics? I always had trouble on Monette mouthpieces on conventional trumpets.
This guy plays exquisitely. And the Lotus seems to definitely work for him.

Monette and LOTUS are completely different mouthpieces. We've designed everything from scratch through hundreds of rounds of our own research and development. The only similarity between LOTUS and Monette is that they share similar pitch center tendencies, but we arrive at that point using entierly different designs. For example, our mouthpieces do not have the large throat sizes that Monette mouhtpieces are known for. Would love to hear about your own experience after you've given them a try. /Henrik

@@lotustrumpets6739 thank you. I think the XL throat was half my problem with Monette. I'm hoping to come to your event at PM Music in a couple weeks.

@@lotustrumpets6739 I've played flat on every brass instrument I've ever played. Spent hundreds on custom tuba mouthpieces to fix it. Would a Lotus mouthpiece help me play up to pitch on trumpets?

    A C cornet 😊🎺

I prefer the tone of the silver trumpet [Bach?]. The bare brass trumpet [Lotus?] has a tone similar to some cornets. If you want the cornet sound, buy a cornet.

If you need someones validation first to learn an instrument then youre doomed from the start.

Bach sounds more collected, the timbre is noble, deeper and richer. Lotus sounds light and wide, but not deep timbre, a little loose.
