Really happy for you Bobby. You’re a good guy. You deserve to be happy. And thank you Amanda for taking care of our boy !
The pee mat, “ I need to get one for my Mom”- Bobby. Lol, sorry but found that hilarious!
🤣😂
I was about t say the same thing. Isn't that why they make Depends?
How I heard it too 😂😂😂 🙏…
I had a 65-CT. With bowsprit and dinghy davits it was over 72 feet. She had a faster bottom than the CT-56. We did 12 knots in a stiff breeze. Sailed her from Trinidad to Palm Beach to Maine. My friend Capt.Ed and wife AJ knew everybody in RI/Mass/Martha's Vineyard and Lake Tashmoo. What a great Captain and 1st mate (Ed & AJ) . They knew how to cook "lobstas".
Dingy looks great. So much work involved with these big boats. Wow! Great job , great music. 🛥️
Bobby the boat is coming out great and the Dinghy looks awesome..great work!
Looks like you're almost ready to git-r-in-the-water Guys! - Great! - Cheers!
Bobby you got you a good one this time she's a keeper
Wish you luck and good fortune as you begin this new chapter. This boat was always my favorite.
Happy for you guys as there is a sense of satisfaction with your decision that shines on Amanda’s smile.
This boat is the Era of Maverick and Goose and Taylor's Rack ❤
Not necessarily in that order! ;)
Your dingy doesn't look so dinggie anymore. Great to see this awesome boat making a comeback.
It's amazing how well the dingy cleaned up! Nice work all around. 'Naughty Dog' back on the water again
Congratulations, I hope you guys have fun in your new journeys!
BOBBY BOBBY!!!! YOU GOT A BOAT TRY TO KEEP IT IN DEEP WATER AND NOT RUN AGROUND !❤😂
Haha, we know the feeling. We bought our first boat, Hunter 28.5, the caveat, we were not members of the sail club yet so we couldn’t “own it” until we were approved…. We had already refinished inside and out, replaced settee and after birth cushions new V birth, everything.
So glad he didn’t change his mind!!!!!!
Been watching since the very beginning, great show man, thank you. My first time to comment here too, lol. If you didn't already know, there's some stuff called "Winks", really good rust stain remover, pretty safe to use. Get it at any Walmart or hardware store. Safe travels!
I've always cleaned my hulls with snow bowl toilet cleaner works great. Comes in a spray can to.
Looking good, Bobby. You sure know how to smarten everything up. Hope Amanda’s ok and feeling more positive about the boat now? Great video, cheers!
Good to see you had a great previous owner!!
Bobby : Hydraulic Fluid dries out and will not warm teak ..Best Channel !
Go buy a couple spray cans of spray either , ( engine starting fluid ) , that will eat that hydraulic oil up from the deck , out o
f the wood and any anywhere else it has dripped on , it will take black semi truck fifth-wheel grease right out of a white shirt... I am Jan's husband Martin . I use it on our boat after working on anything greasy , like the motor . Spray the oil down till it dissolves let it dry then clean the leftover dirt off with soap and water , Might have to get the wood a couple times , if it leaves a stain it can be sanded and varnished because the oil it will be gone .
Nice addition with the one and only Phil Collins. The man who dominated the radio for a few decades.
Wow, good news all around. Dogs already trained to use astro turf, just an easily fixed software issue on the Victron inverter, and just a loose fitting for the hydraulic leak. And finally, the dingy cleaned up great....Congrats!
Time to splash this beauty and set off on the next chapter!!!
Bobby, auto zone carries a driveway oil cleaner. You shake this stuff to mix it and just pour it on the oil stain. It dries like baby powder in a few hrs. Then you either vacuum it up or wash it away. I’m pretty sure it will leach the hydro oil up from the deck boards. When it’s all dry just oil the wood and you’re good.
Blue cling toilet bowl cleaner (acid) works great. Leave it on over night, pressure wash.
Very funny one guys, superb job on the dinghy Bobby looks like new!!!...congrats on that man. And congrats both on the boat!!!!
Looking good! FYI, outdoor bleach works wonders. Cool boat, looking forward to seeing it underway. Motor yacht guy here, but I love the look of that boat.
Clean With acid products rinse a lot after with clean water because the acid eats aluminium,
On the hyd oil leak. Ya May want to go ahead and replace that o-ring behind that jam nut while you high and dry. It could star to leak at sea.
Great one Bernie.
Bobby, we have had a Pet Loo pee pad for our 9 year old Min Pin for her whole life. She uses the green pad at least 3 times a day. Cleaning the bin is nasty but we only do it every 2 weeks. Get some SAP ( Super Absorbent Polymer) for the bin.
303 Protectant is the best stuff u can buy for your use case. I am a boat detailer and I use that shit on everything (except gelcoat, I use Colinites wax or Ceramic coating on gel).
Edit: You can't pressure wash anything oil or grease. It just won't do much. It's literally oil and water and they repel each other. You need Super Clean or Spray Nine and a short stiff bristle brush. Good luck! .. Another point if anyone is actually reading this, "Bowl Bright" is an acid that will remove stains. It will eat your lungs, and eyes, so spray it while there's a good breeze/fresh air to breathe.
I have more tips if anyone is interested.
I would re-glue the seams that have started to pull up, they used to sell hypalon paint a long time ago, so that may be an option to get her looking exceptionally spiffy !
I know the pups can be a hassle, but I think I would put a big "tow hook" on that pee pad and be able to just throw it overboard and tow it in the water for a while. Easy clean up! ;)
FYI, acids will react with exposed metals far more detrimentally than fiberglass. Muriatic acid can be used for cleaning but I'd likely dilute it to a 5-10% solution, rather than full strength. It will react negatively with any metals but typically to a minimal degree if diluted. As long as you rinse fairly quickly, you'll be fine. Your cleaning efforts were very successful, looked great. Touchup paint the deep scratches.
So cool previous owner didn’t just bail on you after closing! Can’t wait for underway adventures. ⛵️
Busy Bobby...done a great job on the boat and dinghy...Amanda busy on the inside...
Looking really beutiful.
Thx
Is this video out of sequence? Last video the bottom of the haul already was painted and had underwater lights installed and now as you walk by it on the way to show us the dingy it’s back in time and nothing done on it
Ready for more boat life on the ocean.
Check out an epoxy primer probably take a couple of coats, better than bottom paint but you pick your own color for the dingy. I have even used it on motorcycle fairings ie batwings. Tough as.... well you know what. Do your own due diligence but read up on it. I have used it just as a paint and it will hide scratches even with black. The epoxy is the key.
here is a hint for getting oil soaked wood back. This method is not fast. It iwll take a week or two to get to best possible result. This is the method I use on old WW2 military gun stocks. the product comes from a company "Brownells" the product name is "Whiting " (contains Calcium Carbonate) mix into a paste with Brownells "TCE Cleaner" mix into a paste and apply to affected are and let dry and stand for a few days . The paste is acidic and as it drys it draws the oil and dirt out of the wood grain. It may take a few applications. Hope this helps
Good luck with the new (old) rig
that's a nice boat. stats seem pretty good on that.
Next time you look for a fluid leak try using baby powder spray lightly on suspected area. Very accurate the powder will start turning dark when it becomes wet. 👍 I use it when repairing aircraft and auto’s
Ooh I want to see the beauty in the ocean.
You should call the manufacturer to what the use on the hypolon to clean it... Looks good great job!
That dinghy is actually 11'2".
Great job on it 👍
cool show!
Check and clean all inverter and battery connections for corrosion and tarnish!
There is something really familiar about you poking and prodding around in the bowels of the old CT which should really have been on Davy Jones' locker long ago. Nice video. Brian
Cool deal. Happy for you guys. Groove cruise 2.0
Dinghy needs to be water tested now for leaks. Turned out nice, the center console will change the whole look!
How about a Cat update?
I love you people, please continue create content, I can see you good souls, and you’re making my day happy, for seeing blue sky, happy son and wide sea. Love from fucking Israel.
Think this is as close as actually happening in timetable as I have ever been
Should be able to pull up the codes on that charge controller as it has a diagnostic mode that tells you what the problem is!😊
Hope Amanda is making up for the lack of work on the boat!
Dude, don't make your mom use that little turf to pee. Take her out for a walk.... LOL That statement sounded so funny to me, sorry!
lol!
@@vickiwhite6374😂
Pig pads are great for soaking up oil and fuel.
I'm back baby! lol. I was subscribed years ago and admit I left because of you selling this boat. I am not really a cat guy. I love it that you and this boat made it back to each other. Looking so forward to your adventures and am subscribed again. cheers!
Thanks for coming back, I'm glad you're enjoying the journey!
Super Bowl 🏆🏟️🏈
👍🏼👍🏻💜❤️
1:30 I Love Your Sweater.
Bleach and dish soap will clean the pontoons!😊
Solar, sounds like the BMS on the battery is not set properly, hitting the limits and shutting out
I was surprised you did all the work on the boat before you became the official owner. The dinghy looks great. Using 303 is a great product for protecting the boat. Is there any fire suppression system in the machinery space? Looking forward to seeing you on your adventures again.
you can do uscg priority for free, contact nvdc, you skip the line by stating you plan to depart the country and need it asap. turn around is usually 48 hours. overnight paper work to them, include return overnight envelope, boom.
Good job Bobby . You're really bringing the boat back to life . 😎🇨🇦
Ive missed the "somethings always borked on an old boat" footage.
With oil leak use kitty litter first to draw oil out
Happy you had back your great sailing boat. One curiosity which is the age difference between you two??
Bleach the wood! Then Teak oil!
You should us the smaller wheel but put on the truckers steering wheel turn assist on the actual wheel.
Just for the style, I'd probably not get the Cat and keep the CT. I like it.
Because of the slope of the deck wouldn't it make more sense to have the dog pad turned around so the tray is on the downside of the slope of the deck?
1:45 wtf where have I been. Did I miss something for x number of days, months, years.
Any time Amada is in the video we consider it bonus content. She is so upbeat all the time. So the other should be Bonus, Bonus Content. 🤣
If you need anything as you come through Fernandina Beach, please let me know. Would love to be able to meet and say hello.
On the fluid is spilled on the deck.Mix up, Don giso and baking powder or baking soda.Excuse me, and it should do it.Just make a page leave it on for a while
HooRay!!!
you should not spray muriatic acid. you should brush it on. also wear goggles that seal onto your eyes and make sure your respirator is the right type. also muriatic on the dinghy wasnt a good idea. i wouldve started with phosphoric acid / barnacle buster.
@8:15 for mom, or moms dog :)
Try to update that Victron. I have all types of whenever a new update comes out
I would have thought good hot soapy water would take oil out of the wood? No?
I was going to let it go for the last vid, but can anyone tell me why Amanda is wearing an old geezer band shirt? CSNY is like watching amanda wear bob dylan gear or greatful dead, or Chicago, steely dan. Like these bands had their heyday, and today is not their heyday. lolz wear what you like, but thats wierd. I understand if bobby wears that stuff.
Dude your Mom has a Bathroom !
and house trained hopefully 😁
lol!
Do you have a water maker ???
Don’t power wash it, just heavy soap and water.
Get one for my mom? Lol
8:16 Get one for your mom? Doesn’t she go to the bathroom like other humans? 🤓
Can you send the link for the dog pad?
What happened to your E-catamaran??
This is really good stuff! Thank you Bobby.
When you said it was about to rain it made something come to mind. Im in Brazil and I've seen rain that "pan" on the dog urinal in minutes. I'm certain that you have too. With the boat draining down the center!
May I humbly suggest a drain hose fitted to the "pan".
Trying to help!
Your life is just a trip. All PUN INTENDED. Ive really enjoyed watching some of it!
Thanks. Yeah I plan to hook up a hose!
Shouldn’t you have bled the hydraulic oil through the system?
"i probably need to get one from my mom" - Seriously? 🙂
Why did you set your home port as Wilmington DE?
Tax purposes
Wilmington, NC
Great job by both of you.. The boat is really shaping up.. Bikini season is just around the corner!!! 🌴☀️🍹
let your mom use the indoor bathroom… come on man. Poor ole Bobby
Amanda so super sweet... Great job your boat... Nicely done... =8-)
When you say "we" are boat owners, did you really mean "we"?
My mom peed on a pet loo for years.
