- Welcome back, today we have another update after wear video, this time featuring the highly sought after Aime Leon Dore New Balance 550 Sneaker. By making this video, I wanted to provide you with a look of how these sneakers have held up after 2 weeks of consistent wear, discuss comfort and durability, talk about any future concerns that might come up over time, and give my take on whether they are worth purchasing. Don’t go half a size down unless tiny or very narrow feet! I’m a true US 9/EU 42, and normally I wear 42.5 in NB, which is half a size too big, but it works for me. I ordered these in the same size. Very tight, on the border of being too small. Couldn’t get a finger in at the heel, but my toes weren’t squished either. I got a size 43, just to compare. Even though more comfortable as it’s not tight, the heel slippage would bother me so much. Even if tied very tightly, and they started to hurt on too of my foot where you tie them. And from watching several reviews I know that they recommended to stay true to size or size up if wide feet. And even if they where comfortable, once breaking in they’d be too loose even when tied tightly. So it’s a gamble. You either go up half a size to a full if too tight, and for better comfort, but the heel will slip really bad, or you stick with tour normal/true to size, even if a bit tight, and just hope it will loosen just enough after breaking them in. I always clean my sneakers, and keep them in the box. Wipes, brushing with a toothbrush underneath the sole to remove stones/sand/dirty, and even rinsing them under the sink, just the outer sole, it will keep them looking brand new. And of course not wearing them through mud, heavy rain etc.

I think if you worn them half size down I believe that the creasing wouldn’t be as bad… when more room the creases are more noticeable

I agree, going half a size down would minimize the creasing but at the same time I don’t mind the creasing on this sneaker and like the extra room so can’t complain

I need some help. I received them for Christmas, the length seems right but when I walk I can’t help feeling some heel slippage. I’m afraid if I go down size they will be smaller so I don’t see it as a solution. Do you have the same issue? I thought about maybe the nylon material on the back heel is causing it but lemme know
i have the same issue too, and I bought half a size up lol, super tight on the toe box but the heel is slipping bad. if toe box feels the same for you as me, sizing down is out of the question, a friend of mine says to buy heel tabs and hopefully it fixes it. haven't tried it yet tho
for anyone seeing this, if you have this problem, look up the runner’s knot; it secures the heel a lot more

How do these compare to Air Force one lows?
i have the ALD red from the first release and they are much more comfortable than AF1. I would say also that 550s are a bit lighter than AF1 so if you plan to wear them for a long time, you'll fell less the weight of the shoes

@@86_MATTI have 9us on both, maybe 550s are a bit snugger than af1. But after a couple of wears they loosen up.
