justin carter exactly. which is why I don’t dress expensive. I dress very casual at all times. Short sleeve polo, jeans, and a pair of chukka’s. When it’s cold, I get a nice quarter zip going. If you dress in expensive clothes, have gold chains hanging outside of your clothing in plain sight, you just are pretty much screaming “I HAVE MONEY, MUG ME!”

The well-dressed watch expert on the inside spotted luxury wrist-furniture and alerted the thief outside with a description of the unfortunate individual, who was threatened, I believe with a knife, and relieved of his jewellery. Ten or fifteen years ago a similar scam targeted Rolex owners in LA. The Sunday Times ran an interview with a victim who sent out a general warning about being careful where you should "wear."

As long as you're not standing on a barstool, yelling at the top of your lungs about your ten-thousand dollar watch, it is not likely anyone will even notice a SS Rolex. Archie only travels to Asia and lives in Australia. I'd say these 2 continents are probably one of the safest ones to NEVER get mugged. (i lived in both). so I'd say don't take his word with just the grain of salt. Imo, if you live in Europe (some parts of America), buy watches that you can afford to lose or get an insurance.
