The only real difference i noticed between the 2 i own are the hands. The original Death Metal Batman's grip clearly works for the scythe and motorcycle handlebars. It is too tight/closed to do anything with the guitar. I also can't seem to remove the hands from the BAF version and, maybe after heating it could work, but I'm not brave enough to force it more than I have already attempted. I put the guitar in Superman's hands but he doesn't have proper gripping hands either. The guitar is so soft that neck warps very quickly over time.
McFarlane Toys double dipping when it comes to the Death Metal Batman isn't an issue for those who didn't get the original release. However, it may be an issue for those who end up buying it the second time around, just so they can build the Dark Father figure. It's a nice looking figure regardless. However, it's unfortunate that Death Metal Batman can't properly hold the guitar and the guitar itself could've used some extra paint, which seems to be a problem with the McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse figures. Otherwise, thanks as always Spot for another great video. I really appreciate it!
Haven't read the source material or even looked it up to check but the colors and look of the guitar makes me think Plastic Man everytime I see it. Especially with the actual face up top.
Yeah that sucks that Mcfarlane toys gave us two of the same figure and that it was needed if we wanted to build the Dark Father. Moreover that guitar didn't come with a strap and Batman doesn't hold it well. Again i thought it sucked that Todd did this too.
Todd does unique sculpt for most of his figures and has to make the money back by doing variants unlike marvel legends who use the same few sculpts everytime
I love the figure but the guitar is the inconvenience - for me - . I'd like to know if that curve that the guitar has is a defect that they all have or if that model of guitar is really like that. I mean, it looks kind of... weird?
this second Version is cheaper as the first one, the only Version of Dark Nights: Death Metal Batman I have, really good figure, my copy of the Darkfather Torso has a loose upper part of the torso and my Version has a production fault in his face
I have this figure with the scythe, and I'm not double dipping for the guitar, Dark Father BAF be damned. It's a cool Batman, though. Also, I hope you'll be reviewing Death Metal Wonder Woman. Her design is my favorite of all the Death Metal figures.
Completely agree. I bought the scythe version before this one was announced. If it wasn't a requirement for the Dark Father Batman, it'd be a hard pass. Not even a repaint? Lazy. Now that Bat Cycle is a requirement so the other feels useful.
I really prefer the art insted of pictures on the cards. Other then that and the bent guitar not a bad figure.
Art cards are/were the best.
The guitar looks like that because it's meant to be Plastic Man, transformed into a guitar.

This build a figure set is so sick. I already have Robin King, Wonder Woman and Superman. Great video
#1 and Best review of the Dark knights Death Metal Batman. A personal favorite yes, glad I waited for the build a figure. Double dip city.
I read somewhere that the guitar is actually Plastic Man.
This figure makes me want to see Batman playing rhythm guitar with the Banana Splits.
Great talking to you again Spot!
Any time!

Like 3 months ago I only had Grim Knight figure. Now I have over 20 of them
I got this Batman loose for free. My parents found him and bought it for me. I don’t have the accessory though.
I got it for the guitar and build a figure… I’ll be using this Batman for parts…other wise it was just marketing ploy to get us to spend more
heavy metal batman i thought they made up as a joke for the lego movie
Another awesome review ,I can’t wait to see your collection .Seeing your collection would be epic ⚡️💫🥊🦾
Does anyone else imagining Batman plays the 1966’s Theme?
Only figures to actually have good musical instruments as accessories were the old KISS figures. Gene Simmons's bass was the coolest accessory ever.
I bought that same Batman figure

I really don't think they needed to double dip this release of Batman, they could have packaged everything with the first release
This is REALLY COOL!!! I LOVE BATMAN!!!!!!
Really! 20 minutes to talk about a figure that has been previously released and already reviewed in the channel?

Her review will be coming up and shes one of my favourites from this wave too :)
She's excellent
This is a kindve lazy release. Could've given him a new head sculpt.
As a guitar player, I am cringing, but as a figure collector I am crooning 😂

Not a big fan of dark night metal
That guitar.... Meh...
