The first one has more parts and props, but the second one has nicer weathering and overall look, but in general they both look amazing. Even being the same character, the outfits look a bit different and both have unique features. Very well done. There is no better or worse, they both rock!
Yes, I like the fact that he made it appear a little "used" in combat with the scratches and shading. His picture at the end had an unreal stare to it, almost like the game. I think his face would make for a good "Big Boss" cosplay.
Yeah, there were some details in the second guy's costume I liked better than the first guy. But both of them are really cool! Raiden is really awesome for sure, but I can't help but think of Grey Fox too..... I'm having a hard time picking between the two :P .
The suit was much better on the second one, but I do appreciate how much work the first put into the facial detail and moving parts... Both were very awesome
Personally my favorite writing cosplay is actually one of a female mgs4 Raiden, but unlike a lot of other cosplayers who show off their legs, she actually had the full suit and everything looks really good like almost like metal plate or sometimes like plexiglass, and one of the coolest things about it was the helmet where the plastic dome and the eye pieces moved electronically
first one had awesome props second one had awesome detail. both were great. btw the second guy is jeff siegert. He goes by xailas on deviantart. His raiden cosplay was also used in Freddie Wong's Metal Gear Sunrising youtube vid
my zombie survival character is kind of influenced by Raiden. He's an every-man who when killing zombies relies on nothing but his wit, his own stamina, an Uzi sub-machine gun, a sawed-off shotgun, and a 42 inch katana!
one day I'm going to make a costume like this made out of metal that bullets can't even pierce through...the lighting on the feet part I'll figure out but put some air pumps at the bottom of the shoes to give you an extra boost when you run...gonna be sick!
I'm Android Model ZCX15000SSR or in Short As "Steve" From year 3000. it is now replicable in my time, but that'll will cost ya NeoUSD $50,000 or roughly about $1.542,069 in your current year. Let's not forget if you haven't even account your cryogenic prevervation to withstand your ancient human body being completely functional in the future
I'll agree with you for the most part. I used to be part of a ghost busters group, we would have a booth at most cons and collect for the make a wish foundation. While we were pretty normal, a lot of odd balls would come up to us. That being said, even some other GB groups that I've met, are pretty odd people. That being said, I don't think I've ever met a cosplayer that didn't have a sense of humor.
Jeff made the cosplay (the one in this video) and it was worn by an actor. You can see Jeff's name in the credits (although i think his last name is misspelled)
This makes me really want to get into the whole building/making scene, its the same when I see videos of the guy who makes the Mass Effect guns. Just seems to be such a big starting step to take in terms of equipment and materials, the closest thing I've ever got to is building and painting Warhammer and doing a few custom figures...hardly compares to this level of awesome detail!
If I had to choose a winner, it'd have to be the second one... Don't get me wrong, they both are amazing, but the second one looks more realistic and better overall
If you are truly interested, first check out the Stealth Cosplay videos here on UA-cam. He has several brief tutorials which give you an idea as to how it's done. If the tutorials seem like something you can handle, you'll also need to check out the RPF forum. On that site, they've got help for ANY costume you want to build. Even a full-sized Warhammer 40K Space Marine (definitely not recommended as a first project!)
Yeah, cosplay seems like "hiding in public". I imagine that telling any of these people that they look ridiculous could drive most of them over the edge. It's celebrity worship of the weirdest kind.

The second one is REALLY good.

Quinjo
His contact lenses really help
The second guy is really awesome!, Raiden is the best cyborg ninja ever......
Yeah, there were some details in the second guy's costume I liked better than the first guy. But both of them are really cool! Raiden is really awesome for sure, but I can't help but think of Grey Fox too..... I'm having a hard time picking between the two :P .
the second guy did a damn fine job on the costume
I agree, i think the first one looked a lil too shall we say wide.
First was like./japanese tho..handsome..xD

The suit was much better on the second one, but I do appreciate how much work the first put into the facial detail and moving parts... Both were very awesome
"I am Raiden, the cosplayer transformed."
I got a good laugh out of both their voices when I was expecting a more Raiden sound heh
I'd kill to be able to manage making a full suit with so much detail. These are some talented dudes!
The second one is awesome, the first one too, but, the second one? EPIC!

His raiden cosplay was also used in Freddie Wong's Metal Gear Sunrising youtube vid
Armstrong:i realize you were just like me trying to make history violence breeds violence and it has to be this way
they both look impressive, but the frames of the people wearing them are a little too masculine for raiden's build
I knew there was something odd and you nailed it.
You don’t go to many cons do you?
raiden's build is impossible in real life
@@eksine Nah, I've seen some really good cosplays of Raiden; they're just all women. He has a really feminine build
@@ServantofBaal that's what i mean, guys wouldn't be that small with that much power
Did this man just say metal gear solid: revengance?

I highly suggest you look up Lo Wang because Thats who you just described perfectly
My man really dipped his sword in sprite and it started charging

"it's my turn to protect you snake"
That spine XD was awesome.
this cosplay look so awesome!!!😍
I saw one before that had a switch on his wrist to open and close his visor was pretty cool
damn this cosplay is fire
I love how the interviewer flubbed the very first line , calling it Metal Gear SOLID.
I might be just a tad bit too late for this but still cosplay is impressive
ye

The magnets on the shoe is an S Rank plus

I believe the second cosplayer goes by the name "Xailas". Check him out; he's very popular.
If I had to choose a winner, it'd have to be the second one... Don't get me wrong, they both are amazing, but the second one looks more realistic and better overall
The first guy even had electrolytes
someone needs to cosplay senator armstrong

ah if it isnt sussy jack
the asain dude looks more like the actual character, but the white guy is bigger, so he looks pretty intimidating, awesome shit!
I wonder if you can grab a performance sword (about 20 lb) with the foot piece of the costume like in the game.
Definatley not.
rising
holy shit....just to awesome
The Raiden from freddie's vid was named Eric
Dude, Jeff was the one from freddie wong's vid
epic cosplay
You'd wear them too if it meant you could run up walls.
You can really tell the people in the comments section have never Cosplayed in their life~
Second one looked better. First looked like it was put together in a hurry, didn't even smooth down the glued edges.
I like both
i wish that cosplays were easy to make, and also cheaper
How did they build those cosplay?
Genji sucks! RAIDEN FOREVER!!!!
aw cmon, he didn't show off the face shield?
come to think of it Riot must make a Raiden Master Yi
0:20 *"Metal Gear Solid: Revengeanes"*
RULES OF NATURE!
... WHAT.
YES.
The real raiden was so good
Raiden shogun:🤓
The second guy looked like he had a deeper voice lol
The guy's face looks very weird in the raiden costume
Overall i say the second one looks best
I like the second one way better.
I'm thinking of cosplaying Raiden. I'm a girl, I'm 15 years old, I'm 5 foot. Do you think I can pull it off?
Yannik Arndt :D
I am 13 and thinking about trying this too! (or an Artorias cosplay)
please do something special for your next vid, because, as OniLink977 said, your next one is the 1,337th.
2:06 What exactly are resin bits?
OMG I can't control my fangirl-ness!!!
Buy second one
Metal Gear RISING Revengance! Arrggghhhh!
this is gaming
omg the second one
Holy crap dude
Can they drink pepsi from their hand
I buy one for me
there's something about the voice of the first raiden that captures my attention. Not in a bad way.
I'd kill for a Sam suit...
the second!!!
Next video is number 1,337.
The second one is better!
Don't feed the troll.
Second was better, but first was good too
yep...
Don't worry I can see your confusion.
I'm sorry but just... Those heels...

"metal gear solid: revengeance"
Kelton all the way!!!
