One is always learning when Jeffrey Rosen is speaking. He is exactly what the Founders sought and envisioned as a leader of our country. How lucky we are to have him at the head of the National Constitution Center!
He is part of the lying deep state.
Thank you Jeffrey Rosen. You are a great example of an objective educator. Listening to you for years and hearing some personal details from your life - I might assume you are a liberal leaning Democrat, yet, in your professional role I am unable to make such statement. I have watched you with rabid partisans on your left and right and you always call balls and strikes objectively. I have never watched such a calm, and educational, CSPAN Washington Journal program.
Jeffrey is a lockstep liberal. If he were an objective educator he would quote the part of the Constitution that is being violated. He wants to chase Case Law instead of following the Constitution. The impeachments failed because there was nothing. Jeffrey is lying and can't talk about the applicable parts of the Constitution.
Constitution, Article - 2, Section - 4: The President, Vice President, and all civil officers of the United States shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.
All elected officers have a right to a trial by their peers, which is Congress. The lower courts have no jurisdiction over officers elected by the people. This restriction ensures the part of the government that is not elected but stays in the system can not control the intent of the people served by the elections. The purpose of impeachment is to prevent a deep state from forming. Jeffery the liar is part of the existing deep state.
It's immensely valuable to have such an expert give a fact-based view of these recent moves. It's frankly refreshing to engage the topics in a non-partisan manner. Great work, Dr. Rosen.

How can it be an official act to have conversations and meetings with the purpose of over-throwing a free and fair election?
The problem is the motive for exercising power can’t be reviewed. It’s the motive which explains the crime.
