A "Fenton" moment in ancient woodland!

You probably remember the man calling his dog back: "Fenton! Fenton! FENTON!" as it chased a herd of Red Deer in Richmond Park. A funny watch, but a dangerous moment for the deer, as the dog could have harmed one and they were driven across a road where they could have been hit by a car and the impact could have caused injuries to the passengers.
My senses alert, as always, I thought the noise behind me of an animal running through the bracken was a Roe Deer. I swivelled round in time to see a dog rushing past, having caught the scent of an animal. The owner had absolutely no idea where 'Fenton' was, so wildlife was at risk. Even the most mild mannered dog's inherent prey drive can be triggered to give chase to wildlife that suddenly try to escape. More so when the owner has not kept their dog, as politely requested on many noticeboards in this ancient woodland!, "close by".
