Ingredients:
Dates 110 grams (pitted).
Peanut paste. 1-2 tablespoons.
a pinch of salt.
Oatmeal flour 40 grams.
Peanuts 60 grams.
Chocolate 100 grams.
Recipe and preparation:

it has lots of sugar. Not recommended for those with diabetes!
This is NOT “sugar free”. It’s loaded to the max with sugar from the ingredients. It proper description is “no added sugar”. It looks delicious but don’t try to fool anyone, It’s a carbohydrate overload!
I second this, I just don't think he's out to fool people, poor man simply doesn't know better.
lol, it's an interesting topic, but yeah most people just don't know any better, calm down bud.
The chocolate probably has added sugar. The flour is refined so is almost instantly sugar inside the digestive system, but apart from that, not much sugar that isn't tied to fibre. Fibre will effect in the sugar's slow release, so we don't care about it. Edit: Scratch that, the chocolate is sugar free. So we don't care about anything except the flour.

@@hungryOrb Actually sense it's blended, that removes (most)the benefits of insoluble fiber, you are correct, however once you blend fruit the sugars are released from those fibrous cell walls creating free sugars that absorb instantly.
Misleading! It is "no added sugar" for certain, but not "sugar-free" as advertised.

@@cottoncandace7704 10 g of fructose/glucose/any sugar is the same whether it comes from candy or fruit. Fruits are loaded with fiber, vitamins and antioxidants. They are rich in terms of nutrition. However, sugar is sugar. A diabetic can not eat too much sugar whether it is from candy or watermelon. Someone with a fatty liver should limit their intake of fruits. Someone who wants to have good nutrients in fruits but not the sugars should lean towards vegetables.

It's not that it's processed that makes it unhealthy. It's how easy that type of sugar is to break down, and how much is usually added. I doubt people who start eating raw sugarcane plants wouldn't get sugar spikes.

These look impressive. But just because sugar isn’t added doesn’t mean that they don’t have a high sugar content. Dates are very high in sugar, over 70g of sugar carbs from the dates and then the oats. These will definitely cause a huge insulin spike.

Great idea. Making it with almond butter and chopped or flaked almonds would be even healthier, providing healthy mono-unsaturated oil. Less allergenic and less acidic, and with lots of calcium.
But tahini isn't as almond butter, tahini is made of sesame seeds
Or did you mean an alternative for the peanut butter is either can be tahini or almond butter?
Sprinkle the melted chocolate with coconut 😋before refrigerating.

Dates are a high source of fruit sugar and chocolate, unless using 100% cocoa has sugar in it too
It's a nice little recipe but pedantic old me likes to have accuracy!
Also high content of fructose (32g on 100g), unfortunately for the liver...

This is not low carb...there is no added sugars, but 3-4 Dades have the same energy value as a Mars bar... But it looks really nice, but off limits for a keto guy

I've heard fructose is not very healthy though.
@@sandragambrel9721 sugar from fruit is amazing for you especially the liver and brain. I'm afraid you've heard wrong and suggest refraining from spreading information you are unsure on. What would you propose someone consume other than fruit if "fructose" is "not very healthy"? please enlighten us.
@@lewisalexander6120 You need to do more research, obviously. There is no nutritional value to sugar. Depends on your over all diet actually. It's true you can't eat enough fruit to consume large amounts of fructose to harm the liver, but, if you are already consume lots of processed food, you may be consuming too much, which is harmful.
