    What do you do if you call 911 and the call does not go through on a PBX and all you get is silence without a ring? Why would that happen on a Nortel system.

    Can you setup 3 phones that are physically in 3 different cities?

      you certainly can. You need to connect locations via a network. small offices can use asa 5505 as their firewall and set up VPN lines between them. essentially your question is networking one , any PBX solution has no limitation of distance.

      If you want a private PBX, ask your IT person (or use Google) to setup a VPN network between sites. Otherwise you can go the "Hosted PBX" route and simply configure your devices to connect directly to Hosted servers.

    Can you do wake up calls for certain extensions? Is there any way to dial 0 and it rings the office (or Secretary)? In stead of the auto attendant can you have it ring one phone and then transfer to an extension.

      Usually you upload mp3 or wav files for MOH in IPPBX and Hosted PBX systems.

    Taylor, can you page on this system?

    • @jonnybb1
      @jonnybb1 8 років тому

      Yes, all phones can be paged, but it would require special equipment for PA horns.

    • @Ringroost

    So is ring roost is an online PBX system?

    • @jonnybb1
      @jonnybb1 8 років тому +1

      Yes, but the term is "Hosted PBX". There are pros and cons to going hosted. The best part is being able to quickly setup remote phones and/or locations anywhere there's a stable internet connection. The worst part being you are often limited to the Hosted features. Also you get no "line-presence" so you must transfer most calls.

    My Goal
    I'll give my family living in the Philippines a local phone number in their area,
    Once they call that local number my landline will ring in Canada.
    Thus no long distance charge, is that workable\?
    I am not cheap,,, I am on a budget

    • @TheMFM
      @TheMFM 9 років тому

      +anthony guada I believe that you will always have a long distance call in that scenario unless you are using VoIP.

    • @lodinickvlog7391
      @lodinickvlog7391 8 років тому

      +anthony guada , That was actually impossible. just use internet. is not much but it somewhat good. you also dont need to have charge much because we do have skype and fb or even twetter thats cheaper

    • @jonnybb1
      @jonnybb1 8 років тому

      Skype or Google Voice is you best bet. The PBX's can not read your mind and know where you are yet. Don't be afraid to have different phone numbers or other ways to get a hold of you.

      I live in Uganda and use a USA phone number on my mobile. When that number is dialed, it rings on my mobile. So i would say its possible. I got it because i have several clients in USA who regularly called me and i justed wanted to make it easier and cheaper to contact me.

    Maybe I'm missing something but I'm in England and I don't get why you are paying to advertise to me. I would have thought Mr Google was rich enough already. But thanks for the video anyway
